Excellent channel. You both should be so proud of what you have created and the leadership you have shown in trying to deliver the 4th Estate in the manner it was intended.
Unherd's work during C19 was how media should have behaved .I have listened to Rfk Jr in well over a dozen long form interviews. His explanation of issues such as vaccines is sensible when in long form. He has a PHD in corporate capture ,which makes him extremely threatening to the entrenched bureaucracy/special interest groups and the doner class, hence why he is smeared so much . He is an easy target to chop up and smear on soundbites out of context. We are at a point now where I think the broader society realises that we have drifted into a form of "Crony Capitalism " and "Special interests Democracy .
A reset is necessary before the notion of Socialism takes hold on the disaffected middle class and youth. This clearly cannot be achieved without fresh outsiders such as Rfk Jr .

That’s false. Most antiwar people, left and right, are all either hostile, or indifferent, to the Israel-Palestine conflict, or they condemn what you (erroneously) call “Israel's genocide.”

Americans are just tired of all the noise coming from Israel, they hope Trump will end it even if it means fast-tracking Israel's annexation of Gaza. They don't really view that as a war, they believe Israel is fighting terrorist and quickest way to end it is help Israel annihilate them. So in a sense they are antiwar because they want the conflict to be ended once and for all. Allowing Gaza exist would mean that wars will continue to erupt in the future. My bet is that by the end of Trump's second term Palestinian idea will be dead, no one will ever even consider two state solution that only democrats were talking about anyway.

Trump's goal is about the future. The majority of his picks are young, successful, and can communicate in front of the camera. These are the key ingredients to winning an election. IMO we are not only good for the next four years, but good for the next 12 years. That is a very deep bench. He can't afford another repeat of the state going after him after he leaves office.

For example, Stalin was certainly both successful and effective, but Russia would almost certainly have been better off if Stalin had been ineffectual. There are other measures of fulfilling public duties, beyond effectiveness. It is good for society, if a morally upstanding politician is effective. If, however, the politican is not morally upstanding - then from the perspective of society, the less effective they are, the better.

Emily doesn’t understand what redundancy means. It is not efficiency. Redundancy in organizational terms is a good thing- if person A or system A is out, then person B or system B can fill in. Having only one person in the government that can fulfill a task is not efficient. If a two people have different roles day to day but can fill in for each other if needed, that is redundancy. So you can fire 3 people and train 2 people to do those 3 people’s jobs. That’s more redundancy AND more efficiency.

RFK who I think can clean up (because he has the knowledge about the departments he will be overseeing, and has long has plans on how to do it), I don't have so much doubt about; and I think he will stay in his lane on the environmental issues because he is smart enough to pick his battles.
Other than that, I don't see much of the ... cleaning up of 3 letter agencies, stopping wars and foreign meddling, return of privacy and freedom and the fight to remove censorship, stopping environmentalism lies and propaganda machinery and indoctrination of our children and young, stopping the revolving doors mechanisms and general systemic corruption, making life hard for woke idiocy (in all its forms).

Gabbard is an expert in psychological warfare and she tends to use her expertise to lobby against the US on almost every issue; she's done a lot to hide her radical religious views and she's definitely not America First.

@herrrobert5340 She was brought up in the Science of Identity Foundation, led by Chris Butler, a counterculture communist anti-war activist that broke with the Hare Krishna movement and founded his own religion. Her father is one of the most anti-gay politicians and Tulsi's hostile attitudes towards Islam are evident in her voting record and support for the War on Terror. Her aunt, recently murdered by a close friend, believes that Tulsi's views seem motivated by Butler's extremism:
“Once again I find my niece’s apparent penchant for parroting extremist toadies such as Tucker Carlson and vile ‘strongmen’ such as Vladimir Putin, to be problematic and deeply troubling,” Sinavaiana Gabbard, a retired professor of English at the University of Hawaii, told The Independent.
“It gives me no pleasure to note that Tulsi’s single governing principle seems to be expedience, which is in effect no principle at all.”
Tulsi's political career has led her to conceal the most controversial aspects of her religion, saying that she is a practicing Hindu and that she regrets her support for homosexual conversion therapy. However, given the pattern she's following, she seems to behave like most politicians, especially religiously motivated politicians, that conceal their true beliefs in exchange for more power and authority.
