I believe the one without the slip-clutch was the last generation. OSHA forced Gravely to install an internal slip-clutch in their last few models of walk-behinds, so the slip-clutch on the adapter, or on any attachments, was redundant.
I bought a used dog gear and had a socket welded to it so that I could use my torque wrench for setting the clutches on my attachments. I have also seen bar stock welded to a socket for the same purpose. Paul L

Pull line off at guage. If pressure, maybe bad guage
Even the bolt on horn too! I have hitch with out the horn!

The one you are rebuilding was known for the top breaking so Gravely went to the all in one casting eliminating the 4 bolts on top.
Thanks I didn’t know that!i would have thought it would have he other way. I would have thought the one piece would have broken easier.
