Gravely Walk Behind Tractor - Troubleshooting WICO Magneto

We are getting closer to getting the Gravely Custom Convertible 7.6 HP L8 walk behind tractor running again! In this video we check the capacitor with a multimeter, remove the tire/wheel assembly that was rusted to the hub with a hammer and broom handle, remove the magneto from the tractor by removing the two bolts from underneath and loosening the coupling nut on the shaft, start on the muffler removal project, break the plastic hubcap, found the manufacture date on the Wico magneto, found a problem with the Wico XH magneto, managed to lock up the magneto where it wouldn't turn, removed the back cover from the drive shaft side of the magneto, found a dry cork seal that was deteriorated on the mechanical side of the magneto, cleaned out the dirt and corrosion out of the inside of the Wico XH magneto, found that the Wico magneto should be lubricated on the mechanical side (in my opinion), put a dab of Lubriplate on the moving parts of the Wico magneto, got a little shock out of the magneto. Luckily for me, the Wico magneto wasn't working too well at that point. I suppose you could call this a "SHOCKING VIDEO". I hate to get shocked! Learned about how the magneto works, replaced the capacitor on the Wico magneto. I drop you a tip about removing the Wico XH magneto condenser while the magneto is still installed on the tractor. All the bumps in the road to getting a Gravely running again are valuable lessons learned. This thing will keep me busy for a while. Come along for the ride!
