Season 4 Episode 5 "Mirror MIrror"
Foreman returns to Princeton-Plainsboro and is assigned to oversee House's candidates. A man (Frank Whaley) is mugged and suffers from a respiratory arrest. Though he has no memories of who he is, he can read the personality of the most dominant person in the room, applying it to himself to create a temporary identity. This is due to a rare disease known as Giovannini Mirror Syndrome. House becomes intrigued by the accuracy of this judge of character and manipulates the patient to judge others, while a team member wonders if House is more dominant than Cuddy.

He may also help them with finding their personalities by forcing their edges on extreme situtaions but.. House doesn't want anyone near him, who can't boss him out anywhere anytime. So he can remember his boundiries while playing with his toys (patients and workers)...

When someone becomes so absorbed with the reactions and potential perceptions of others( in this case completely subconsciously), they can be extremely accurate in their "guesses".
It's more likely that he was remembering something about himself than it was that he was misreading Kutner's stance on hot tubs. Throughout the episode, he would only state something emphatically as part of his mirror syndrome if it was something he perceived about the person with whom he was speaking. Given Kutner's obvious distaste for hot tubs, and this guy's accurate reads of everyone else( many times during the episode his comments "in character" actually taught the people with whom he was speaking things about themselves, sometimes things they didn't want to admit), it's not illogical to assume it wasn't a misread of Kutner, but rather an assertion of the self.

@syd bohne Michael Nesmith of the Monkees once told an interviewer, “In 1967 the Monkees sold more records than the Beatles and Rolling Stones combined.” The guy just took it--hook, line, and sinker. And of course it got picked up and passed on by multiple sources.
To compound the outrageousness of this true story, Nesmith remembers, "As we sat down for the interview, before he asked the first question, I told him that I was going to lie to him."

Thanks for keeping this channel going. You should've included the last scene from this episode where Cuddy and House go into his room to see which one of them is actually in charge.

They included that scene in other videos. This one was more about new doctors and the patient himself.

Idk if it showed it in this video, but the scene where house tells everyone in the cafeteria the mayonnaise is tainted to get back back at cuddy, and then cuddy writes "clinic" on the whiteboard in the conference room with the skeleton pointing at it was pure comedic genius. 🤣 no matter how many times I watch that scene I die laughing

@0:50 in House says "Do you know another mirror syndrome?" To Foreman.. Which is odd because there is actually another one which is completely different to Giovannini's Mirror syndrome as it affects pregnant women's fetus' only and is just "Mirror Syndrome" or sometimes known as "Ballantyne Syndrome".
