    Those colored dimes are awesome, really hoping that they find their way to Minnesota one day. I feel like that if the US is going to colorize any circulation coins, it will be for 2026 with the 250th Anniversary of Independence.
    That white envelope, I would be livid if I spent $40 on that. The items are all novelty, and not collectively worth more than $15. Not saying that some of those envelope items aren't neat, just not a great deal, would likely discourage new collectors. Also, always cool to see that 2001 Year of Volunteers dime.

      I hadn't even thought much about 2026 and 250 years. Hopefully the Mint will produce some really special coins! Thanks so much for watching!

      No, I didn't pay for it. I just agreed to open it up and share that experience. The website they'd put up doesn't seem to be active, so I'm guessing they've moved on to other things...

    Man I went through a full box, no silver. Go to the smoke shack on the rez and I look in the tip jar and right in the middle sitting nice and pretty right on top is a laureate bust dime. Said "I'll give ya dollar for that dime in there." And they sold it to me! They make 90 cents, I make 90 cents. It was a funny coincidence. Look through 2500 dimes of nothing and the 2501st dime I see is the silver one. 99% of gamblers give up right before they hit it big 😂

      Scam's a pretty strong word. I think it was a novelty item pack, but I agree there wasn't anything of real value in there. Though I really did like the cards on rare Canadian coins. Those were very cool.

    My main bank wont get me boxes anymore, they will still somtimes give me 50 rolls if they have them up front, but the stopped going to the vault for me, lol because of me its policy to only give out whats up front, i went in like multiple times a week to get boxes from the same bank and i guess they didn't like it
    I now have 4 bank accounts, my first and main bank, a free account at td because i keep a rdsp there, a $4 account at bmo and a free account at simplii, and i dont have an account at cibc, but i have a user profile on their computer, i go once a month to get coins there but i have to show 2 peices of ID, not sure if its cibc wide or just my location that has my profile

      I would take all association with that off your channel. There was no value in that whole envelope. You said when you where introducing it that it was supposed to give a feel of roll hunting. Name one item that you have found in a roll that you received.

      The fake silver bar is a deal killer for me, a real ounce is worth like $40 so I had a hunch it was fake, but that' sucks, I don't even think he should be allowed to legally put a fake bar in there with no indication it's fake
      I also cant watch that channel, he is always finding these proofs and seems suspect to me, although I have gotten 200 silver dimes in a box before so maybe he is just lucky? I know some people won't believe I found 200 silvers in a box, but still I just don't enjoy his channel because of some of the coins he finds twinges my intuition

    Several weeks to get 46 rolls of dimes... do you live in a rural area?!? I've never had trouble getting good amounts of coin with accounts at TD and RBC... TD is usually the best where boxes are usually available.

    • @CADRollHunter
      @CADRollHunter  7 місяців тому

      Yes, I'm in a small town. Dimes don't cycle through that quickly. So sometimes they don't have dimes, and sometimes they only have ARP boxes. I could probably drive a bit further afield to get to other banks.

    I completed a roll of American dimes recently. Although they are accepted as Canadian currency. If you travel to the US border, do customs allow travelers to bring coins?

    • @CADRollHunter
      @CADRollHunter  8 місяців тому +1

      You can definitely bring coins to the US. No issues at all. Most retailers would not like to accept them as payment, so you might need to exchange them at a bank - you might be able to do that without an account.

    Thanks for the nunt! Really cool... Strangely enough, I did about 10 rolls of ARP quarters, same wrapping as you 10x dimes, and, exactly like you, nothing before 2001P, but there was also a foreign!
    It was a 1 PISO from Republica Philippines, same diameter as a quarter, but a little thicker, and weight
    is 5.3g (so heavier than a 5.05g nickel quarter and much heavier than a 4.40g steel!). It's a mystery
    why it got there, and how their machines let it go through.. By sharing more of our hutns, we might
    find out how ARP machines sort coins. I also avoid these rolls, unless I can find and ender older
    than 2001, but even non-ARP machine rolls are not as productive as bankhandmade or customer
    rolls.
