    Thank you so very much for these poses. I have fairly extreme trochanteric bursitis and your stretches have helped far more than any of the dozens I’ve tried on UA-cam. And I feel hope for the first time in a while. I do them 2-3 times a day and the change has been incredible. Thank you so much for that.

    thank you! I'm 41. I experienced agonizing pain for years that no one understood. I thought I had tried everything, including cortizone shots by several doctors. It took several days, but your videos for bursitis have helped so much!

    Joelle I bumped into this video just 4 days ago. All these years, I thought that I had sciatica. I fell forward on my hands & knees 24 years ago when I was pregnant trying to protect my baby. I have been to chiropractors, acupuncturists & masseuses for sciatica. Never had relief. Especially in 4 days. OMG I am so thankful!!! I will be going to your bursitis playlist for other videos.     Thank you so much! I tried this one today and will try the chair routine tomorrow. These are all helping me so much. I noticed today that I could cross my left leg over my right knee almost 100% to the pigeon pose, something that I couldn't have done even a few days ago.

    Fantastic! I have copd, and I can't do lying exercises because lying down and moving takes my breath; however, I can do these! I have hip bursitis bilaterally, and I need something to help deal with the pain so I can sleep at night. I really appreciate that you show the exercises so well and describe them so thoroughly.     Great video. Excellent routines and exercises. It would have been very helpful to have someone demonstrate and confirm where the stretch should be felt to ensure the exercise is being properly performed. If you do have a similar video that does that already, please reference. I will be sure to check out your seated hip bursitis stretches.

    I love your hip bursitis routines. Nice warm up for a walk. I have SI joint issue on right side but my glutes are tight and this really helps.

    This is just what i needed, I'm doing the supine and seated exercises every day and my hip pain is so much better.
    But these standing exercises I can do at work. Love it.

    I have been suffering from bursitis hip pain for 8 months pt not working.I was unable to do her seated or supine bursitis videos too painful, so I found this one today and I can do this one without pain. I will do it everyday and hopefully will get some relief. Ill update my comment in one month with my progress.

    I just did two of your hip bursitis routines and loved them! You have such a calming and relaxing voice. Is it normal for it to hurt the outside of my hip while doing pigeon?

      I'm so glad you enjoy them, thanks for practicing with me! I wouldn't say that it's 'normal' to feel pain anywhere - certainly that's a common area to feel tightness in when in pigeon pose (most of us do!), but if it's outright pain then that's usually an indication that we've gone a little too far past our point of comfort. Try backing out of it a bit or adding a cushion underneath the glute to see if you can find a variation that will work better for you. I hope that helps!

    I’m just back from a couple of hours on the mountain bike trails and did this routine as part of my cool down. I ALWAYS do your Legs on the Wall restorative movements post workout.
    When doing the pidgeon stretch on the left side, it’s very uncomfortable for my adductor tendon and muscle. Any thoughts on how I can reduce the restriction? I hit that area from every angle but it’s been part of my low back and hip issue for many months. So frustrating.

      Hi Steve, thanks for the comment and I'm so glad you love the Legs up the Wall video too. Pigeon stretch is such a frustrating one, isn't it? It can be for me too. I was actually considering to make a video about how to progress towards a full pigeon pose, as I know it can be tough for so many people. In the meantime, if it's the adductors on the inner thighs that are bothering you, I might suggest working up toward some longer holds in bound angle pose (aka butterfly pose) or a wide supine twist, where you drop your legs to one side (let's say the left), and bring the left foot on the right knee for a little extra stretch on the hip internal rotators. Let me know if those help, and stay consistent!

    I have osteoarthritis in my hips and knees do you think this would help? I have osteoporosis in my spine Aldo so I have to watch what exercises I do. I'm doing your osteoporosis exercise video and I really enjoy it.

I'm afraid I can't say whether this would specifically help with arthritis in the hips and knees, but it's certainly a great way to give some attention to those areas, and strengthening them would be a good thing.     I enjoy your workouts. I’ve had this pain for a long time but only found out in May of last year (2022) that I have edema and bursitis in the greater trochanter area. I also had spinal fusion surgery for my L5/S1 in January of 2022. Sadly I still have pain. How long did it take for your pain to decrease?

    Yes I have a recent injury and I think it is my ileopsoas ? Pain to my hip bone and below and goes deep into my groin with stretches to the side. Did this video tonight and the others last night. Also noticed some tightness to the left side of my sacrum 😣
    I have to walk up 21 stairs to get into my home and after a short stroll today found it difficult and painful to get up them . Pain to my medial knee. I have done yoga daily for years but did some aerobics last week oops! Any suggestions would be helpful. Will continue gently - thank you ❤️

      Thank you for sharing your story, Patricia - and well done to you for continuing to seek out the right solutions for you and your body! I have a few other videos you may like to try, to continue pinpointing where exactly you are feeling pain or limitation. I recommend you alternate them (1 or 2 a day) for a week or two, which should help you find whether any stretches or movements feel particularly beneficial, so that you can come back to those practices more regularly.     Great video!! After being confined to a couch with left knee issues (due to a car accident) I am now ready to get myself legs/hips back into shape. I can do the pigeon pose on the right leg w/o problem but when it comes to the LEFT leg I am not able to get it up. Do you have any ideas or maybe an alternate stretch?

One possible alternate could be to simply cross the left ankle over the right shin (rather than trying to bring it higher than the knee) and see if you're able to get a stretch that way. If not, or if it doesn't feel good, try just swinging lifting the left knee and kind of swinging it from side to side while trying to keep that hip still. My seated and supine hip pain routines also have pigeon variations in them that might be a little more accessible. I hope that can help, et me know if anything is unclear! 👍

    Thank you for this, I have suffered for many years with this condition, and mostly accepted it as my fate, other than a steroid jab which was excellent, but didn't last very long. Each time I do this exercise I feel better, just need to get strong enough to complete the full 10 minutes. My "lazy glutes" appear to be in a coma, I may need to find some exercises to wakeTHEM up!

    Do u have any suggestions for stretching rectus femoris especially at the top of the muscle, w/o putting the knee joint into extreme flexion?

      Thanks for the comment - it is indeed difficult to stretch the rectus femoris without a deeply flexed knee, since that flexion is what allows the stretch to target that specific muscle. One option you may want to try is lying on a table, with the legs hanging off. You can either let both legs just dangle if that's enough of a stretch, or hug one knee towards you to stretch the rectus femoris of the other leg. You could also try standing in front of the table (the table is behind you), with one leg stretched behind you on the table, to see where you feel that. Let me know if those help! I could also add a quads & hip flexors video to my list if that's of interest.

    My hips feel so much better. My right hip is the worst one. I can sleep all night without pain. I do better with standing or sitting stretches. I really don't like getting down on the floor.
