I agree, but also think the lower half would be great with a wood berm addition. Then you can just ride the outside and not have to worry about leaning the bike over so much when its damp and you can go faster in the dry.
When it starts to rain there i think you slip pretty easy. My tip is to put “chicken net” on it. You now that thing that keeps chickens in place. Where they can do pretty everything they want. 👍 Love how this thing turned out and the guy who writes this is a 15 year old boy from Sweden and my English is not so good🤪
It would be really cool if in the future they build in a small ramp that goes straight off the side so you could either take the loop or a little jump/drop off the side
Looks good, butt, now set up a gap drop that you drop into from half way around the corkscrew, effectively jumping out of the corckscrew. Now this would be next level cool fun.
Just remember that you, your bike and the section of deck you are on appear to be held in place by the shear strength of 8 x 5mm tech screws that are not designed to take shear load. I'm sure some through bolts could be drilled retrospectively.. Wouldn't hurt to throw some angle brackets to take some shear load too... Otherwise.. I want one... We have one (at the bottom of a Black Diamond - www.trailforks.com/trails/vertigo-18974/) that is a bridge over into a rock screw... Unfortunately only Black trackers can access it.
Thank you guys soooooo much ironton is my home town and i have to say what you did looks amazing and its going to help our town so much!!!!! I cant wait to see everyone there!!
Can’t wait to go ride this place. Eureka MTB park, St Charles pump track, next Shepherd mtn. St Louis is finally starting to become a biking destination.
Phenomenal work, guys. So stoked to see this collab happen and can't wait to ride it!!! (And thanks for making it less sketchy than the Paja corkscrew. Alex knows what I'm talking about lol)
This was absolutely fascinating to watch. We have something like this in Santos out here in Florida. Except it's not as specifically circular. It's got corners. And railings. Ours has railings, and that makes it way less intimidating. Also, the approach is nowhere near as sketchy. Thanks for sharing this! in what state is this park located?
That is soo sick. This is the first video I have seen from your channel, you have earned yourself a new subscriber! Thanks for making this into one video and not dragging it out into multiple parts too.
You guys are amazing! I live on the Ironton side of Shepherd Mountain and I know the heat, humidity and bugs you guys have to deal with. I am seriously wishing I was 30 years younger! (or at least 20). :)
I was wondering why you hadn’t posted in a while, it was worth the wait
nice pfp
Came for the trail building / stayed for the hummer
Rad and a half!! Iconic indeed.
how is this comment 9 hours ago if this video was posted 4 min ago?
Alan Duren because it was probably released unlisted where people can only see it with a link and then only just been made public
@@dantwarb40 oh ok
Dan t warb weird none the less!
Why have you not posted in 6 months
4:57 I love how you can see the Humvee suspension decompress as the lumber is taken off.
I didn't even notice that! Pretty cool.
Right??! Its the little things... or the jumbo things live a Humvee
Was looking for this comment immediately after watching that.
If you watch Berm peak you see that with his gator
@@Leaferr yup me too
a chicken wire mesh maybe and a padding the exit pole with foam.... i donno, just thinking about the rainy, muddy days
Yeah I was thinking about that the rainy days could get pretty scary
I think the chicken wire would work best

First time ever watching a vid on this channel, really enjoyed it, well made, extremely clear as to what the plan was
Thanks, Matthew!

Luca Colinet that would be sooooo high

This video is so good with the music and everything. When you hit that cut line on beat I felt complete.
So much to say!
So glad you're getting these awesome opportunities! And that corkscrew, man!
Great vid, build, and HUGE congrats for sending it!
Can we please acknowledge Morgan's ninja like reflexes?
I love how the tools are slowly sliding down in the time-lapse when ur decking the corkscrew!
10:21 everything is sliding down lol
Lol. Keep an eye on that board at 9:27
WHEEEEEEEE
Fliba
Alternate line idea: drop off half way down the corkscrew onto another line
I am French .It's really amazing!!!!!!
Continue like this!!! Courage and very good job!!!
I’m a local around there, and it’s about time we get something like this!!!

this is by far one of the most creative and iconic feature at a bike park!
nope
Bro Seth you just stepped it up a notch on this build. Super amazing and a good amount of sketch there
Dude I am soo pumped that you are getting involved on Shepherd MTB park! I'm down in Cape and it is so cool having something so awesome so close!
Also in Cape! Stoked we’re finally getting some sick trails close
@@jackcurtisdaniels Yo Jack! It is Reed! We'll carpool lolz
I pray who ever reads this becomes successful....
such a sick feature, huge fan of the channel
Damn this is awesome! All your builds are great but this is really something. Love it!
Yeah, these are the interesting builds that a lot of places don't have.
Finally I found something really awesome to watch from UA-cam again after a long time.
Makes you appreciate trail builders 10x more
Wow! Amazing feature and build! Thanks for sharing!
This build takes trail building to the next level
This is the kind of youtube content I like, progressive and well thought out. Clearly effort has been put into the video, let alone the project itself
Such a great video. I love the vibe of just a bunch of buds building cool shit in the woods.
Knowing you helped build that is definitely going to be a highlight for you til the day you die. On ya bud!
I'd probably think about it twice on a rainy day! It has to be the best feature I've ever seen!
Awesome stuff! That was fun to watch.
This is incredible -- "well done" is an understatement. Crazy good.
This is my home town, I am stoooooked!!!!!! Great job on the park so far! Can’t wait to ride!
Can’t wait to go ride this place.
Eureka MTB park, St Charles pump track, next Shepherd mtn. St Louis is finally starting to become a biking destination.
Who else would love to ride his trails
So stoked our area is finally getting some proper trails!
Holy crap!! So sick🤘🤙 worth the wait
So many new bike parks popping up! Awesome work dude!
Awesome and right down the road from St. Louis. Been watching this process on GORC
Dang this is sick! I was really hoping that you were building the corkscrew in your backyard, but still, keep being awesome
Pretty sweet collaboration I enjoyed it 🤙🏻
Insane man keep up the great work!
Anybody else notice the satisfying effect of time lapse in 4:57 of the bed of the truck slowly lifting from the wood being taken out?
The fact that it is all cedar makes it 100 times better!
Great build. I can’t wait to go and checkout that trail.
WOW 🤩 Insane! More collabs with those guys please. The video was so incredible!
This is amazing, given me a great idea for disabled access for my self build.
Well done!! This will definitely iconic feature!
This thing is so big even the GoPro made it look huge. Awesome build!
YES! My week is complete now 😬
Better than anything Seths bike hacks has ever built on his channel. this is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi. I'm Honza, I'm from the Czech Republic and once I go to the USA, I'll look there and eat it. You're great. ❤️
Thanks for all these great trail build videos. They’re really helpful in designing and building my own trails. Keep it up!
Phenomenal work, guys. So stoked to see this collab happen and can't wait to ride it!!! (And thanks for making it less sketchy than the Paja corkscrew. Alex knows what I'm talking about lol)
your building skills have gotten SO good
I am so hyped!!! I joined mountain biking at the perfect time in Missouri! The thing looks sooooo mega!
This was absolutely fascinating to watch. We have something like this in Santos out here in Florida. Except it's not as specifically circular. It's got corners. And railings. Ours has railings, and that makes it way less intimidating. Also, the approach is nowhere near as sketchy.

Thanks you! The park is actually here in Missouri!
I love that feature at santos almost as Much as indigo flow
It's a piece of art, love the work and effort that went into building it. Props to the owners for allowing you to do this!
Have no idea why you are only at 94K subs... your variety of builds and ride videos are to me what makes a great UA-camr. Keep it up!
That is soo sick. This is the first video I have seen from your channel, you have earned yourself a new subscriber! Thanks for making this into one video and not dragging it out into multiple parts too.
Absolutely beautiful scenery on this one love the build
This is sick as hell
Been waiting for the vid for 2 weeks and looks amazing
This is sick!!!
Looks absolutely insane! Crazy good build as usual!
This thing is gonna be so slippery when it rains! I love it
Got me a new bike for this trail, can't wait!!
Looks so sick can't wait for more on the subscriber trail 👍

Man. Can’t wait to see OneMTB on that cork screw! Great stuff!
Waow, that's some sort of engineering feat, congrats. Phenomenal job and looks super fun to ride
Anyone else notice he and Seth’s bike hacks used the same music in their latest videos
Cleetus Mcfarland as well
A lot of us UA-camrs use Epidemic Sound, so sometimes there's a bit of overlap haha
@@TheLoamRanger good to know :D

Wow that is simply amazing! Great work my friend!
I always forget he sings the backing songs! Great work🤙!

♥️ soooooo stoked , can't wait to ride it. THANK YOU! -subbed
ITS LIKE A WOODEN ROLLER COASTER!
That is a work of art. Hopefully they preserve it for a very long time.
Man, you are living the dream! Love it
You should do a colab with seth/berm peak like so backyard trail build sees it
4:56-5:01 - it's like the Hummer is lifting the wood up to you :)
Great feature btw, wish it was closer to home and I would definitely visit!
My gosh this is amazing work! Awesome accomplishment
That's going to be epic man
