I Built an 85ft Bike Jump That Was Still Too Short...

  • In this tutorial, I build an 85ft bike launch that could send you up to 70ft down the drop! This is a big one. Watch as I create the longest mountain bike trail feature I’ve ever had the opportunity to complete!
A lot of my projects tend to be on the visually intricate side, while this one is (extremely) deceptively simple. In true Backyard Trail Builds fashion, there’s always improvisation that keeps my job interesting. The end goal for all parties: to have fun! Watch through to the end to see how I tackle the latest curveballs!

Welcome to the official UA-cam Channel of Backyard Trail Builds - Detailed videos on Trail Building 🛠
Hi, my name is Seth Gebel and I grew up in Catawissa, Missouri just outside of St. Louis. I'm very fortunate to have a playground of woods to build whatever I see fit in because Missouri riders don’t get much feature time. I’d love to change that! Hopefully, someday we’ll be able to push a build-along that benefits the public here in St Louis for MTB skills progression. For now, though, I build every weekend and film for you all to watch!
➡️ On this channel, you'll find trail-building videos with music and step-by-step shots that keep you entertained and informed! Builds like road gaps, berms, jumps, drops, trail flow, skinnies, and many others!
Combining my love of mountain bikes, woodworking, and creating something from nothing, stick around to see just where my wild mind takes me next!
What started out as a passion project for building fun and exciting trails in my literal backyard, has grown into so much more. (Giant lizard bike jump, anyone?) Be sure to watch for builds, tips, and special offers each week.
If you love adventures and seeing wild and lofty ideas, come to life, subscribe to my channel for new videos every Sunday at 11 am Central! Hit that bell to never miss a video! 🔔

Damn Seth, glad you extended that thing, that dude was definitely not going "trail speed" to manage to just barely clear the gap, would have been a lot of EMT action on opening day if it was left as is. As usual, some really nice wood working by you, love that you take the extra time to add some nice looking joinery where it'll be seen and appreciated. Hope that opening days goes really good, looks like a super fun trail for advanced riders and I bet there's a bunch of other trails for lesser skilled riders as well.
