Finally, an owner who knows when his guinea pig is annoyed! Many people lack basic knowledge about them and unintentionally make the piggies uncomfortable. In just a few months of having a guinea pig, I've learned that: 1. He doesn't like to be touched on his back area or around his ears. 2. When he is sleeping, it's better to wake him up with gentle noises or with food (the smell will definitely wake him up, haha). If you touch him, he becomes very scared, thinking he's being attacked! 3. He's neither a cat nor a dog, so we need to pet our guinea pig very gently! 4. Understanding the difference between the purr when the guinea pig is upset/stressed and the purr when they are happy and relaxed is very important. These might seem like small things, but if they occur daily, they can affect the piggy's lifespan, happiness, and the trust they have in us! By the way, how is your guinea pig doing now? You haven't posted anything in a year!
Been on the receiving end of the "mouthing" a couple of times, they do it to let you know to back off, lol, also been on the receiving end of the put me down I have to pee nips--those mean business and hurt, a world of difference between the two.
My piggy Minnie runs like hell away if I even think about touching her. Sometimes, when I'm shortening her toenails, tries to bite me. I've heard that guinea pigs don't bite their people. Oh, yes they do. 😁
Because they are pray animals when we put are hands down in where they to them that hand resembles a predator kind of like a snake would do so i would get the piggy to come out from underneath what ever piggy is underneath or highding in with a peice of carrot or treat get them to come out from underneath what ever they happen to be underneath or in and thay don’t like to be out in the open, i miss my Squeakers, sweety and Harley Squeakers did not like me to put my hand in to her house , and that was before I had learned that they need a bigger house i would try to spot clean her house every day but she would not have it, when I would put my hand in to her house she would come over to my hand and take a hould of it just like she would do with a baby piggy very gently and holding my hand gently in her teeth would walk my hand over to the door and let go of my hand that was her way of tell me that it bothers her please don’t , so when I would spot clean I would go in underneath the fleece pad to lift her up and out or they do that if they are in pain not trying to tell you what to do just sharing what I have learned about Guinea Pigs, and your sweet piggy is adorable
Sometimes people tend to forget that for as cute and funny as reet-rats are, they will also mess you up. They have ferocious agility, speed, strength, and a wicked bite-force. That's why it's crucial to bond with them as soon as possible and never mistreat them.
He’s having a bad day. Sure is cute though

Mine is very not into being picked up but seeks out ear rubs. He’s a nerd. I adore him.
My boys always act like this even though I spoil them rotten. Little brats. 😂
Wow ive never seen a Guinea pig do that. My pigs basically scrape their top teeth along my finger. And don't actually bite.
He does look pissed.
Uh oh. Micro temper. If only peoples' tantrums were that brief.

It gives me a dilemma... I like to hear that low grrr sound, but I don't want to make a guinea pig angry...

This one just seems to be maybe a little to warm, not really angry. They can act up also due to bad health, might be signs for a vet visit.
