You are a very good interviewer. Most can't help themselves, and constantly interrupt their guest, but you are very patient, listen well, and interject at just the right time, adding thought-provoking comments and questions. Thank you. P.S. Love it when you have Georgi on.

I'm subscribing to this channel. This young lady is an excellent interviewer, and I don't say that lightly. Georgi is well-informed, but when he does shows with, say, Danny Roddy, it can turn into a BROFEST. Sister Strong here, on the other hand, not only listens patiently to Georgi and lets him have his say, but she asks him to clarify points for the audience. She also is not afraid to push back when she has objections.

Much of this awesome interview spoke of obesity weight loss and if you do not account for total daily calories the avg. non Peat informed viewer will misinterpret much!. Full disclosure I am a pro. personal trainer nutritionist here in nyc. and I teach and preach consuming sugar sat fat fruit honey meat seafood coc. oil etc. BUT if myself or any clients eat consistently over their caloric limits ...well then we all gain weight/fat. These are truly the most important pieces of information to the health of our people of our time. I've been following Ray Peat and Georgi Dinkov with Danny Roddy for years now and I have verified this work in my mind and experience. It is the only information related to health and nutrition that has a true wholistic picture of biology in vivo--in humans. Its simple, concise and to the point. But it took 5 years of following Ray's work and putting it into practice to realize dramatic and profound results in body andbin understanding. The picture is glorious and Godly. The ancient Yogis knew this same information. It's all there. It's the cosmic diet, as Danny said. God bless you all!!!

That's interesting! I did Peat-inspired for about 2 years and it was the best thing I ever did BUT couldn't get inflammation and pain under control. So I went to the Carnivore diet for about 15 months in total and it completely wrecked me bcs I couldn't "fat adapt" and was constantly running on stresshormones and couldn't sleep. So I've been doing Peat-inspirerad again and stresshormones plus sleep is better but...still insulin resistant (even more now after low carb bcs of the stresshormones and extremely poor sleep) and pain and inflammation is hard to deal with....It was interesting to read that it took you five years to really get the benefits. If you have any advice to me on how to reverse insulin resistance and get rid of pain and inflammation would be much appreciated.🪷🙏

Except still have moderate amount of animal protein in there, about 100-140g lean animal protein a day. Fat stays pretty low, still doing full fat goat milk kefir. Other than that, it is high sugar high fruit 😄stamina for exercise has gone way up, my mind just feels less stressed…it’s hard to describe. Seemed like Georgi was defending obesity as perfectly fine. I think that’s a damaging perspective. I do agree that a little subcutaneous fat isn’t bad.
I also think that adding empty sugar calories onto other nutrient dense foods seems wrong intuitively. Surely every calorie you get should be nutrient dense, and therefore, animal fat is best.
Excess sugar seems intuitively wrong and isn’t found in our evolutionary history in large amounts, unlike fatty ruminant meat.

I am a firm believer that being too lean is absolutely not a healthy/optimal state. After about a decade of Ray Peat inspired high sugar high saturated fat low PUFA diet I have what I consider a healthy amount of "extra" body fat that would be considered overweight but on me it is so extremely evenly distributed over my entire body (arms, legs, and even hands and feet) to the point that people are shocked to know what my weight is because it suits me so well and I feel amazing. This autophagy thing is misunderstood because a lot of us are ill and then we are searching all sorts of ways to make ourselves feel better. As he says autophagy is turned on by fasting/starving because there is nothing else to eat so the body turns inside and starts looking what can I used as food. Broken, ill, non functional cells are a good choice, lets leave those healthy ones. That is an emergency survival response actually, but today we try to turn it on intentionally thinking its some kind of clean up or healing mechanism. Its not, its just that in times of starvation there is nothing else to eat but your own cells. Broken ones are the first to go...

I'm not sure if I'm gonna run into trouble without access to thyroid and these other hormones like progesterone eating this way but this is very interesting. Gonna keep experimenting because I had amazing benefits (relief from chronic eczema and digestion issues) from fasting but I seemed to run into problems with energy when trying to consistently do short fasts long term. I find, however, that works best for me, as long as my food choices are whole foods and calorie consumption is balanced with my physical activity. Collagen hydrolysate powder is basically pre-digested. Proteins are chains of many different amino acids. The chains in collagen hydrolysate are already cut shorter via hydrolysation and therefore easier digested. You can compare it to eating complex carbohydrates or eating sugar.

If we look at hunter-gatherer tribes like the Hadza or the ones that Weston Price studied, we can see that they highly valued fructose, animal fat (saturated) and organs. So I think those are essential for good health.

But real autophagy is happening inside the cells and it's hard to measure. I heard he was telling about some 'easy available autophagy rate test' which is not a thing. Maybe he meant something else.

This is so confusing!😭 I’ve been trying so hard to stay away from sugar and simple carbs like rice and to explain and to teach my family to do the same cause I’m asian and a lot of my family members are overweight, having heart disease and diabetic. Trying to teach them about keto and fasting. But now???
    1. It’s confusing when he stated that not ALL fat people are unhealthy. This is exactly the same narrative that the fat acceptance community been saying which you know is bs (on their part I mean)
    2. So how do you get fat or even obese? I know he said it’s endocrine problems so that means there’s no way there is a healthy fat person right?!?
    3. And then he kept saying that sugar is okay even mentioning the test with obese people being fed rice and sugar and they lost weight and the other test that proven that coca cola is okay(sounds suspicious seems like the test was being done by the company itself) BUT saying that it’s not a good idea if you overweight and have endocrine problems to ADD sugar on top of your diet. What??

    • @bastyo
      @bastyo 3 роки тому +2

I'd just use collagen hydrolysate powder, preferably from grass-fed cows. I drink 4 cups of milk daily with half a tablespoon (5 g) of collagen per cup. No gut issues. The problem with gelatin is that it can contain high amounts of endotoxin. There's usually a lot of pathogenic bacteria on the skin of animals raised in bad conditions, for example in pigstys. When those animals die, the bacteria also die and release endotoxin, which will then end up in the gelatin product.
It could also be that the combination of milk and gelatin makes your stomach too alkaline, or in other words leads to low stomach acid. For example, both milk and gelatin/collagen/glycine can be used to protect the stomach against the acidity from high amounts of aspirin.

good tips, thanks. The hydrolysate is good, just pricey. I've had the Saturee CH before, which treated me well, it's just an expensive way to go, was trying to do it cheaper.
I don't think it's acid. I get Collitis symptoms, which I have otherwise never had, and the skin on my hands and feet start to die and peel, it's super weird. It's the first time I've ever noticeably reacted to anything, interesting experience.
