The fact that Brady says why would you marry if not in Love, speaks Volumes about him. He is an honest and caring human, you can see it in his wives and children which is so refreshing.
My understanding was he was not willing to sacrifice his wives, children or family to continue filming when all that TLC wanted was Drama to pull in ratings on the show.

While polygamy is not for everyone I think if the wives are being treated fairly and are adults then who am I to criticize. I will say Brady hits upon one thing: This is not a cheap way to live. Raising a flock of kids and supporting 4 wives takes quite a bit of money to make it work.

Sorry polygamy is hard? He is still a polygamist & that is illegal. Stop pretending any one man & several wives (5) is a normal situation. The ones who pay the price are the kids. These adults decided to live polygamy but the kids are the victims of polygamy. The kids have no say. And one of the main goals of Polygamy is for multiple wives to have lots of kids. In 2024 having 19 - 20 kids costs lots to house, feed, cloth, educate, provide sports, or dancing, gymnastics & other interests outside of being a number for a man for his faith.
And, the Mothers get government benefits by pretending they are single moms, which is illegal as well. Why do tax payers have to pay for illegally gotten benefits??? If several women want only one husband & do not have kids, fine because they will only suffer as adults without punishing a van full of kids.

I love that you want to bring the other side of this discussion to the table, but I'll also let you know that me and each of my siblings are so so happy and grateful for our parents and the amazing job they did to raise us. I don't recommend polygamy as a lifestyle just because it's unrealistic for any normal person to think they can handle more than one wife. But extraordinary people do exist and my dad is definitely a man who will do anything to be an amazing husband and father and my siblings did not "pay the price".

I believe that Kody Brown is the type of person that is demanding of love and adoration, but doesnt have much to give in return because he cares more about himself than he could ever care for someone else. Partnerships are not successful when one person is giving more than the other.

That was pretty cool to hear about their son’s recovery! I’ve got a buddy that miraculously survived a brain infection and the doctor said the only thing he himself could pinpoint the recovery on was my friends physical condition when he got hurt, he was heavily into CrossFit when he got the brain infection after surfing. The doctor later went on to write an article about the recovery, emphasizing how you have a much higher chance of surviving a traumatic injury if you keep your body in shape. More inspiration to get into shape folks!

I normally listen to you via the podcast, but sometimes I watch an episode on youtube. Just to help the algorithm and your channel a bit. Just letting you know I enjoy listening to you and help me learn about different beliefs and views in the world.

Great episode. I really enjoyed hearing some updates because to my knowledge, their example of leaving the religion but staying a family is pretty rare. I loved that you guys asked him about doctrine because I'm always curious about that. Sorry to hear about his son, but glad to hear he is doing well. My mother suffered a TBI about 6 years ago and it has been tough. To be that recovered in a year is extraordinary.

I was upset when the show ended as I preferred them to Sister Wives. I did follow you Facebook. So glad that everyone is doing well. Happy Christmas 2024 everyone.

I still wouldn’t live this way, but I feel like they do their best to make it work. You can tell there is sadness in the wives (based on the show), but I think they are doing this consciously and trying. It seems like a great family.
I would love to see an interview with the wives, though I think they’d prefer to remain private.

Fascinating interview! I remember the show about Brady and his family and it's nice to find out what all's been happening. You guys had some great questions that Brady gave thoughtful answers to and the whole thing was so interesting.

As a practicing polyamorist I would say it is not at all like polygamy, or it's like in the way a bat is similar to a bird. But! Nothing would make me happier than to sit down and discuss the comparison with folks like you. Great episode!

I find it very interesting they no longer believe in the faith that brought them together. And yet they have all stayed together! Really shows the true love they must have for one another. Really refreshing to see this representation, night and day from Cody
