It was Maddie, she had failure to thrive, and Janelle wasn’t producing enough milk. Wet nursing has been around since babies have been being born. I don’t think people sit around playing cards and passing babies, but if a baby gotta eat they gotta eat.
I can’t be the only person who doesn’t think wet nursing is weird. I would have LOVED if i had a close friend or famiky member that could nurse my baby or donate breastmilk. I had a Very Limited amount with all my pregnancies and after just a couple months even while actively nursing every 2-3 hours or pumping my milk always dried up. I just dont eat or drink enough water i guess. I feel like i’m barely sustaining my own body. We all want the absolute best for our babies and for them to be healthy. I have no idea what is in powdered baby formula you buy from a large corporation. I would feel a lot more comfortable getting milk from a friend or family member.
