Thanks, ken for the video. The new version 669 makes the tempo match version more visible and colourful I have always enjoyed it. major issue am having is that while this is perfect for loops, it often fails me when I use it to determine the tempo of a reference song. After I drag and drop the song on the timeline, it sounds perfect, the tempo is all good but doesn't line up with the metronome. I have often had to try and use dynamic split options my fav being the transient guide. Is there a quicker better way to do this kind of thing,...!
@@REAPERMania Thanks again. I have used the technique in this video too. works perfectly for finding the tempo. the major issue is that even after setting the newfound tempo, dragging and dropping the track and adjusting it to line up the beats with the grid, for some songs it doesn't work out. It starts out on the grid and then as you play through u notice that not all down beats line up. I thought it was my eyes so I turned on a metronome and it confirmed it for me.
Did you ever make a video on Tempo Automation in Reaper? I know we can do it, there is a little automation track that opens above the tempo line. I have not used it much yet, but I want to use it for writing big orchestral pieces soon. I had seen a video about it but i forget if it was on your channel or another one. Also, check out Scaler 2.7 new update with the multi out divisi setting they added, huge game changer. You might be interested. Doesn't seem to work right with kontakt but It does work with BBC free orchestra, great for sketching out lush chords patterns for string sections, it will multi out up to 15 channels!
That's a REX loop or file. Those files are basically cut up by their transient so the rate doesn't change and they sound better. ua-cam.com/video/-EWIMQwF61c/v-deo.html
I go back and forth between thinking, "Reaper is the best thing in music production" and "Kenny is the best thing in music production". Thanks
Thanks
Thank you kenny
Timely as always, Maestro Kenny. Fitted exactly something I needed to do to break out of a little creative rut. My humble thanks.

@@REAPERMania oh nice! thanks! I will bookmark this in my favorites right away
4:40 you change the tempo but the shakers (audio loop) dont change the rate, why?.
how did they not change? they evidently remained on the grid which means the item length did change
