Yep carry a spare Loo always rather than gas as I am 56 if you know you know. We will have the fresh water if its been in the kettle. We also do bottles as well but we refill the bottles to save on plastic.
The campsite was fabulous at the end of this video. The common or community areas from the inside to outside areas just bring such harmony into one's life. Ohhh what a beautiful evening site with the candles all lit up. With so many details. Interesting and makes so much sense with the shoes in most of the bathrooms or using the blue shoe covers. Oh, the morning with a cup of coffee is brilliant. Free!
We always use the fresh water tank to drink from. All the motorhomes we have had. We drain the water if not used for more than two weeks and refill with fresh.
I work for Carlsberg and have spent a lot of time in Copenhagen over the last 20 years. A lot is said about Hygge, but it’s definitely true that the whole sense of community in Denmark makes it so different. As far as cost is concerned - it is expensive but they do believe in quality - everything you buy is the best possible quality.
@@RoamingRadfords and you might what to look at Camping Vliegenbos Amsterdam its very like that camp site in the video the camp site is just outside the center of amsterdam with a 5 min bus or train ride to central station from the site
Steve. I have always used my tank . I sterilize it before we go on holidays. There is also a purification system I leave in the tank as well. We have never had any problems yet. But I have this year fitted a system that gives me mains water from the tap on my pitches right to my taps and shower in the van. So new territory’s for us we will be testing it out whit week at Pentewan Sands. Most sites now have your own water tap.
That campsite looks great £71 is expensive though. If you go to Portmerion in Wales they have a new campsite opened this year same price £71 per night but includes access to portmerion. It’s worth a visit may be 2 days or 3 if the weather is nice. Your videos are great thanks for taking time off from your hols to do them I’ve tried to do some videos and can’t get to grips with how to edit the video . It must take a lot of your time thanks for your efforts
Steve /Lyndsey just remembered what that water purifier was called we put in our tank . It’s called SILVERPAD the only place I have ever seen it on sale is at Birmingham NEC show . I always seam to miss you when I go maybe one day we will bump into you and get a sticker. Have you any plans for the summer hols yet? I have just booked our late ferry 12August used tesco points before they reduce them to 2 x point And got 10 nights reserved right on the sea front at Amadria camping park Šibenik Croatia. Do you have any tips for me so I can get through Austria to Slovenia without Having to pay £93 each way with there go box
This is it WM Aquatec Silverpad For 80 Ltr Tank Size £25.00 The Silvernet ensures that fresh water is automatically preserved every time you refill your water tank. Pure silver ions provide effective protection against Biofilm and contamination of water in your fresh water system.
We’ve just got a great telescopic broom from Must have Ideas, comes with a small brush too. It’s called the Better Brush. I put it in the wardrobe of our caravan.
Great video lyndsey and Steve loved that site you stayed in for the night certainly different having places where you can go and mix with people if you want expensive though for one night but I can understand why it was beautiful
Another great video 📹. Those toilets and cassettes are quite fickle and tend to break a lot eh ? Lovely Campsite if a tad pricey. Looking forward for the next one ....... 😁👍🍻👏
Hi both hope you all had a fab time on your trip, we always use the water tank ( cleaned & sterilised twice a year) on both of our new motorhomes never had an issue, our friends always use bottle water!! We're all different 😊 x
As a formerly much ferry using country, ferries functions very efficient in Denmark! Many years ago I drove up and down Norway and passengers had to leave the cars before boarding a ferry, because of a hard stuffing of the cars on the decks of the ferries (At one time I couldn't even leave the car, except eventually through the window, in case of an accident!!). And then finding your passengers again, after leaving the ferry, may be, exciting.
I dont do hot drinks well an occasional hot choc, but always part fill tank with drinking water, When Dave had coffee machine in camper we used tank & to fill kettle but now he has a Tracheostomy & feeding Rig we either buy bottled or bring our own Spring water from home (we don't have mains water at home). We do use eco purifiy tablets b4 going away.
I had the same toilet issue on my recent trip to Scotland and ended up having to get my head in the locker with one of those close up make-up mirrors and my head torch whilst it was throwing it down. I think some of the teeth on the mechanism had jumped and it needed setting back a quarter…gotta love a bit of toilet talk 🤣 All fixed now and I earned my large glass of wine that night 🥂
I have a drink water tank, separate from other one. I have, at home, tank water only & that is what goes into my drink water tank. I also have a spare cassette for the loo. Overkill lol
Hi. I love your vlogs. Are you still in Denmark ? I used to live in Fynshav near sonderborg. Will you going near there at all ? Have a lovely safe trip. Take care penny and Travis 🐕 xxxx
Toured with my son using water from his onboard tank for everything. He did his own conversion and fitted a serious water filter for any mineral content and a 12V UV steriliser unit to kill any biological content. Six of us including 3yr old and 1 yr old no ill effects. His build is for off grid and so that the tank can be filled from a river or a loch.
You need a "Berkey" best water filter system ever made....then you would never have to worry about drinking water... make sure you get the white filters, it comes with the black filters.
We’ve only ever found 1 water source that was undrinkable and that was in Albania last year. Every water source we’ve ever filled up at has perfectly drinkable water so we don’t see the need for a Berkey? Even the water coming out of our taps in the motorhome is perfectly drinkable, but we have always used bottles, even in our brand new motorhome, it’s just habit.
It's like watching a real drama. Last week will or not the fridge ever work again now another drama, will the loo work again . Waiting for the drama ever end 😢😮

Guess there will be another German invasion this summer. that camping in Denmark is just an hour drive from us over the bridge via Copenhagen, looked stunning.
Non stop loving it. But Steve, could you make your pans a little slower. It's a bit jarring when you show the sites in speedy pan. The places you go to, we may never do, so we like to savour the scenery. Thanks to you and Linds for the fun travel films.
