STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ARE PROVIDED IN THE VIDEO.
INGREDIENTS I USED:
Bake in oven preheated to 325 degrees for approx. 1 hour 30 mins (Depends on your oven)
3 Cups Swans Cake Flour
3 Sticks of Butter (Room Temperature)
3 Cups Sugar
5 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Cup Milk (Room Temperature)
1 21 oz. Can Peach Pie Filling
1 29 oz. Can Sliced Peaches
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
1 Tablespoon Creme Bouquet
1 Tsp Orange Extract
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Brown Sugar
Liquid Butter
CRUMBLE TOPPING FOR 2 CAKES: (Can refrigerate to use later)
1.5 C All Purpose Flour
1 C Sugar
1 Tablespoon or more of Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
1.5 Sticks of Butter
FOR GLAZE I USED:
Powdered Sugar
Peach Juice

Disclaimer: I'm not a big fan of pound cakes, I just like to bake them. With that being said, I made this cake today and it's DELICIOUS!! The peach cobbler taste and effect is spot on! One piece of advice from my experience: Allow the cake to cool for longer than 30 minutes. The first cake I made split in a few places after a few minutes of being inverted. I allowed the second cake to cool for well over an hour and perfection! This is a huge cake with a lot of toppings and needs longer than 30 minutes to settle in my opinion. I didn't even find it to be overly sweet as I feared. This is truly a great recipe! Thank you for sharing! ❤
So you didn’t flip it right away you let it sit? Or you flipped and before cutting it let it sit?

Yummy cake! You are soooo correct! Cooling time is critical... Otherwise the cake falls down (you can see in this video at about 24:11 it falls as it steams.) The pan should be cool enough to touch without a potholder. -- SHARING KNOWLEDGE: This cake is kinda like a NOLA recipe my grandma made BUT a little different ingredients and technique. The NOLA recipe uses a butane torch (like for creme brulee) instead of a broiler - which is way easier to control the crumb texture and browning. --- For moving this kind of cake to a plate or stand, a "cake lifter" or a 12" stainless pizza peel will get the job done easily in 20 seconds with no worries of breaking the cake or dropping it. Yummy!
Mrs.Donna I made this for my work Christmas party and I got so many rave reviews . They still talking about it ! Only thing I did different , I used the diced peaches and seasoned it with the cobbler fixins . I folded some inside the batter and layered the bottom . And I also used my peach cobbler juice and made my glaze .

That cake was not ugly, it was oozing goodness. My mother always said that ugly cakes tasted the best because they were moist and tender. We like all your cakes!

Well I made this cake for Thanksgiving, everything was perfect until I tried putting into the broiler, and then it happened, it split on one side 🙁, I had let it sit for about 50 minutes but noticing my pan was still a little warm, maybe that was it, next time I will save the last steps for the following day. but for some reason my cake was still a hit, I guess I just have a loving family. Thanks Donna, cooking with you and your husband is lots of fun, but wish I had you on speed dial, until next time Tammy from California.

Cake Goop is made with equal measures 1:1:1: of vegetable oil, shortening and all purpose flour. Mix together with hand mixer until smooth. Is shelf stable. Use pastry brush and brush lightly on pan. Leaves no ugly white flour look on the cake and releases cake from the pan beautifully. I would figure the shelf life is about the same as the oil or shortening so use the newest and keep it in a cool place just like those.
Cake goop is the best. It is a game changer.

I'm confused as you say to just use bakers joy and that is what I've bought but tried this recipe on a regular bundt pan and I dont think I let it cool long enough because it stuck badly and was UGGGLY!

I suspect that it will be gone by the end of the week!.. The two-step method works wonderfully well! I also used your lemon glaze recipe after it was cooled!..

For the pan release, (that was how I learned to bake cakes growing up because my mom learned that way, now we both use non-stick spray) it's probably best to only use that for baked goods that are heavy on the butter. I do it when I make Madeleines but they are very butter sponges and the tin for them is flat making it much easier to coat. Also, the best way to do it is to use butter or lard (shortening), not oil. I also sift the flour over the fat instead (a trick I picked up from watching Chef Ramsay) and it actually works better to get that nice light coating, but on a round pan it might be tricky.

I like that your mixer head goes back and forth. Also, the bowl is off set so you can easily add ingredients while it’s mixing and scrap the sides down. Very cool!
