Advice for all, VERY IMPORTANT: After watching the video, I tested tds of water at my home. Tap water was 450 and RO water was 21 only. I researched more about it and found out that I don't need to buy a new water purifier, I can simply replace the RO membrane with a nano filtration membrane. Brands like aquaguard call it the GREEN MEMBRANE, which reduces tds by 60-70% or is also called a low tds membrane. I did the same and now the drinking water tds has increased to 160!
My tap water is of 135 TDS and with RO it is 7, he advices to purchase UF + UV filter in my case, is there something I can do with my existing RO instead of buying new filter.

This is one of the most valuable and informative video I have seen in UA-cam.
The drinking water I get here in Hyderabad has a TDS range of 250-350. I filter it using pure it normal water filter and drink it, clean the filters in regular intervals and sometimes I boil the water during monsoon before or after filtration. My neighbour next door uses pure it “RO” filter and after filtration their TDS becomes 30-40 which is actually dangerous (acidic) to drink!
Reverse Osmosis (RO) also takes away all the minerals from the water, which causes it to become bitter, Therefore I prefer Boiling and then filtering 👍
But even normal water with less than 50 tds the water smells very bad and has powder sometimes which is very difficult to digest. So I am drinking RO water only even in less than 50 tds.

Vivek bhai...lots if love and respect to you..after seeing this video I checked tds of my tap water and found it 300...and my purified water tds is just 40, imagine having so called mineral booster iny LG ro (which should be used for above 900 tds)certainly I didn't need LG RO (though good) but tab muje knowledge nai ti..so soon I will switch to the best suited one to me..THIS IS REALLY A VERY CRUCIAL KNOWLEDGE TO SHARE WITH EVERY PERSON WHO IS HAVING THOUGHT TO PURCHASE A WATER PURIFIER..I already shared with many and going to make it a big and must shared videos of yours..

Very informative video!! But RO can only remove poisonous elements like Lead, Arsenic, bromide and our tds is from 180 to 220 so in this case what water purification we need to use?? If I use NF it can’t filter toxic elements so I am very confused 😐 if i need to use RO or NF…

Wanted to correct you. I am chemical engineer, we had chapters on RO , UV ,UF and membranes. These mamebranes are very delicate. We cannot load hard water directly on RO menbranes. Thats why it has to go through UF, NF before it has to be passed through physical filters. OR else membrane would get damaged earlier by salts deposition
Ok this means the larger filters are put before the smaller filters to minimize load on RO membraes.

On the contrary, TDS is just one aspect. Tap water also contains heavy metals and chemicals like fluoride and chlorine. These are also aptly filtered only by RO purifier. Whereas any mineral can be added later on to purified water. This video only presents half truth. Misleading

I have an important question to ask. I always drink boiled tapped water, does boiling removes Minerals as well along with impurities and bacteria? And if boiling is safe, then how much time should one boil the water? @fittuber
For obvious reasons, boiled water is safe for microorganisms but still contains impurities like dirt, that is not gonna just vanish away, 🙄
And always keep in mind that boiled water doesn't affect the TDS level.

good informative video but, one should know that the UV filtration does not kill bacterias, it only suspends them for a few hours and the bacterias are active again after a few hours in the filtered water.
