KEY FOB PROGRAMMING ON LATE 90'S TO LATE 2000 MODEL FORDS

AS WITH ALL MY VIDEOS I TRY TO GIVE THE MOST INFORMATION IN THE LEAST AMOUNT OF TIME AS POSSIBLE. THIS VIDEO GOES OVER HOW TO PROGRAM A KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE ON LATE 90'S TO LATE 2000 FORD VEHICLES I AM PROGRAMMING A 2001 FORD F250 IN THIS VIDEO

I had trouble with my truck recently where the key fob stopped working with no real explanation. I even checked the fuses and the normal culprits. I was just about to take it to a dealership when I saw your video. I thought to myself what the hell let's give it a try. And it freken worked! I'd like to add:
I just used your video and programmed 3 new fobs.
All I did was hit the lock button on each, one right after the other and now they all work on the truck. I did not have to go through the ignition process but once.

Just had a Gem module replaced in a 2000 F250 and some other work but when I got the tuck back the remote didn’t work. Saw this, and it worked! On that truck it locked the doors at 5 turns, but it worked!

In my 1999 F-350 7.3 diesel I hear the door locks after the 5th turn of the key to the "on" position, not 8?

I have the exact same truck, 2001 Ford F250 7.3 Diesel and it is NOT going for it. The part where the doors lock does NOT happen.

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger & bought these fobs. Tried doing this and it didn't work. Do I need to have a locksmith or someone program it?

I have a 1999 F250 superduty that I can't get to recognize the key fob. All instructions say to turn the key on and off 8 times and then the locks will cycle but mine does it at 5 on and off cycles then the key fob does nothing. I tested the battery in it and it's fully charged. Could my GEM module just be bad?

I wonder if it’s your fob for some reason that’s a lot cheaper than a gem module is that a new fob ??

@@diydan7019 It's a new FOB from Amazon...that could be the problem...Lord knows I've purchased plenty of brand new broken parts from there

We have a ‘99 F250 Super Duty. Bought a $10 key fob off Amazon and after a few tries it finally worked. After 5 or so turns the locks click. We kept the key in the on position and held the bottom down on the fob. Once he turned the truck off the fob worked. He had to do the cycle quite a few times but it finally worked.
