I like how Chris Hemsworth gets to remind us that he can play villains too (check out "Bad Times at the El Royale", he does a great bad guy role there)
I've never given him enough credit. I hate marvel movies, not my thing, and the female ghostbusters remake blew. But he kills it in this and I can see how he actually does take his acting seriously.
This movie kind of fixes a universe-building issue in the Mad Max movies, that gasoline goes bad after a few months, by showing us Gastown (which was also mentioned in "Fury Road"), a refinery that keeps producing more and sells it to the other big settlements
If only George Miller did the Mad Max TV series(based around him rebuilding The Interceptor from MM2) he planed to fill the gap between Thunder dome and Furiosa...
Anya Taylor-Joy has the most expressive eyes (she'd have made a helluva silent film star) it's uncanny. To serve this film justice you need to see it in IMAX (always) to appreciate the scope of the set pieces overall. And yes that's Max in that silent cameo in the desert eating out of a can.
The place where she grew the peach tree was the same place where she was with the Praetorian. I really liked the discussion at the end. A quick, violent death would have been cathartic for the audience, but, as they discussed, wouldn't have "fixed" the protagonist. Still satisfying in its own way. This movie wasn't as epic as Fury Road, but, really, what could be? It was its own thing, epic in its own way.
Hi Clariss, So happy to see your reaction to the new Max movie and with your Tim , I just finished watching his reaction with you on his channel now I get to see it on your channel together. This movie is so intense and so awesome.
Everyone was hating on this movie before it came out, "oh, youre too late to make this, blah blah.." ..im pretty sure i prefer it to fury road, at least, its a worthy companion piece.. its like, pure "Lore Porn" lol..
The mad max movies are not heavy on continuity. That aspect of each film being (probably) a legend told about a lone wanderer (called max) stumbling into someones story is present in all movies after the first I would say the chronological order is probably 1, 2, 3 amd then 4. The furiosa-movies takes provably place somewhere around the third movie? But there is not really a chronology, these are mire like stories told im a post-apocalyptic crazy future. Also, fufy road departs in tone from the ither movies. Max is actually crazy, and the world is even more insane than before.

Jeff Bridges is also Cool in this....

Yea gasoline turns to mush after about 6 months... and smells really bad too...

I would say the same for Charlize... and I was skeptical about the Anya casting, but the eyes make it! Really ties the Furiosa together.
I loved this movie, really fleshing out the world as we've wanted

thanks for reacting
It took them 3 months and 200 stunt performers to shoot that epic war rig fight.

cool you & tim work well together
Keep up the good work
Hey Clariss. I really like your channel. You should do a reaction to Transformers from 2007. That movie is awesome.
Y’all should watch Blue Beetle 🪲 next
Yes! That is such an underrated movie
Chris Hemsworth played a great villain especially one that acts like a Mad Max Joker but more Psychotic
So what is the proper chronological order of mad max movies 🎥 I’m confused😊
