My favorite trivia about this movie is that while Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron did not get along well while shooting this movie, their stunt doubles definitely did. They ended up falling in love while filming Max and Furiosa's fight. And because Fury Road took so long to get through post production, their first child was born before the movie even made it to theaters.

Yeah i read a bit about it. Tom Hardy has a reputation for being tough to work with, according to a bunch of actors. Charlize Theron was always on time and ready to go, while Tom would often show up late. Charlize didn't hold back in calling him out for it, which caused some tension on set.
@@Zedd0zexcept the crew has since said that that rumor wasn’t even true. Hardy’s refusal to come out on time came AFTER their beef started. Meaning it wasn’t the reason. No one could honestly figure out why the two couldn’t stand each other. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason.

I seriously cannot fault it, spectacularly staged action, excellent performances, captivating and memorable characters, gorgeous cinematography and a seriously kickass score. It just keeps getting better every single time I watch it, a modern action-packed masterpiece without a doubt
It felt so different even in the theater. I was skeptical as to whether I would like it based on the first intro trailers, as I'm not much of a Mad Max fan, but I could appreciate the world and story. By the time the final trailer came out it was looking fantastic and I actually wanted to see it, which usually means it's going to be a great film. Was definitely impressed and loved it. Haven't found anyone that didn't enjoy it so far.
max is considered high octane because of his blood, at the beginning of the film the tattoos show that he is type O- universal donor, that's why he is so valuable
Also because he was hard to subdue and Nux thinks he will get Max's superior vitality. The Warboys have a very 'essence consumption' kinda vibe with the blood and milk motifs.
in world lore that i love is the idea of vehicles and machinery as divinity. the reason they venerate Chrome is because its a world of rust and grime, while chrome is pure and clean, pristine. also, you can catch it in the background a few times especially early on, their prayer has them extend their fingers and cross them, and they tuck in their thumbs. this is to resemble the 8 cylinders of a V8 engine, while the clasped hands and thumbs make the engine block.
Spraying their teeth makes a 'chrome grill' 😁 Love the layers of the V-8 cult in Fury Road (and Furiosa) that are told with barely any explanation. Nux has a deconstructed engine block scarred into his chest as schematic, they think of blood as fuel, their heaven is an eternal battle road... so many little details. Glorious worldbuilding!
A fun bit of trivia is that except for two actresses (the 'bait' and the woman who rode in the war rig), The Many Mothers were portrayed by members of an actual biker club (The Vigilantes) who rode the motorcycles in the movie.
"I would not care to live in this world. I would have been dead a long time before this, though." That's the thing about post-apocalypse situations. Everybody thinks they'd be Max Rockatansky when in fact they'd be Skull #71 in that big pile in the background.
This movie has a very tumultuous production history. From starting filming in 2001 to 9/11 halting filming due to the economic crisis afterwards, to recasting Mel Gibson because of controversies and age, to bad weather conditions causing the filming locations to be unusable, to actors straight up feuding with each other. There’s a book called Blood Sweat and Chrome, which details the rocky production of Fury Road from its conception. I highly recommend checking it out if you have the time.
The amount of "show, don't tell" style storytelling that goes on in this movie is astounding and rewatches pay off with more and more little details every time.
I think I saw the movie six or seven times before I finally caught the detail on how the fuel pod decouples from the tanker and blows up - one of the canyon bikers has a bundle of dynamite, and when he dies, that lit bundle tumbles under the rig and explodes just as the fuel pod passes over it.
I like to think while scouring the prop department they ran across the stilts used by the Henson Group while making The Dark Crystal and figured a way to write their use into the lore.
The flamethrower guitar guy actually has the greatest name ever: Coma the Doof Warrior! (Shoutout to the replies for correcting me) Also, the music he and his drummers play, awesome as it is, does actually serve a purpose for the warband beyond motivation - the music signals the Immortan's orders to the other cars so they can stay in formation or change course on command. You can see an example when all the cars come to a stop during the nighttime sequence, he just strums a steady "holding pattern," to signal for the other cars to stop and wait.
This movie was absolutely bonkers insane craziness, but I mean that in the best way possible, as every single scene was a fatal accident on the freeway, that you can NEVER turn away from.
The production on this film is incredible. Very little CGI was used. They literally built all these vehicles. The war rig is actually powered by two big V8s running in tandem. Making action sequences like this between moving vehicles with people jumping between vehicles while they're being destroyed and explosives are going off is just absolutely insane. They even built a functional flamethrower guitar for the Doof Warrior (the guitarist guy), which was apparently quite the feat of engineering. The film also does an incredible job with visual storytelling. Very little dialogue was needed, and much of it is bastardized English and Aussie slang that's hard to understand anyway.
One of the things the book talks about is how the studio almost shut the film down a few times, and then wanted to throw it all away when they saw the original edit. Can you imagine a world without this film?? Also, while I prefer the color version, there is a great "black & chrome" version of this film that well worth a watch if you can find it. I got to see it in a theatre and it was gorgeous. Now you really do need to see "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga". While it's not as good overall as MMFR - I mean, how could it be - it does a great job of telling Furiosa's story and you get to see the locations they talk about in this film, along with some of the characters. Anya Taylor-Joy was great but Chris Hemsworth is amazing in it. Great reaction, Addie. You have been WITNESSED!
I think Furiosa would be praised much more if we didn't already saw Fury Road. This movie is practically perfect - Furiosa had big shoes to fill, which was an impossible task.
@@mizrolist Up to a point, I agree. It is a prequel so that was my excitement in expanding the world and story. And I certainly had no expectations that they could match or meet the greatness of Fury Road, but there are still some OMG moments and it works as a great prequel which then immediately connects to Fury Road. I really want to see a double-feature with both films at some point.
5:22 - remember the buglers for US cavalry, or trumpeters in older armies? That is the guitarman's job. He plays music to pass on orders, keep morale going, etc. 18:05 , 18:14 (where he is having trouble motivating), 24:25 (to get everyone moving), 27:55 , 7:00 & 8:15 - if they die gloriously, witnessed by their fellow Warboys, then they will Mcfeast in Valhalla for eternity. 8:46 - the action just keeps getting bigger. Also notice how many cuts there are with the cameras and how little you notice them, as the action is kept in the center of the screen so your eyes don't have to wander trying to find it. 9:53 - once he regains conscious thought they can work together. Until then he just wanted the metal mask off and plenty of water. 16:38 - see the blood all over her leg, causing her to be weak? Thank Max at 10:39 18:58 - tells you how bad the future is, when a Warboy cannot recognize a tree 19:08 - Furiosa is an amazing shot 20:29 - he is pretty dangerous too 21:10 - free-range protein 23:16 - he is also talking about himself in that sentence 23:54 - Do Warboy Nux and Capable make a cute couple? 25:38 - the PeopleEater likes his food tenderized first 29:37 - Nux has come full circle. Instead of dying for his own glory, he did it for others. 30:29 - Max remembers he is human 31:09 - Max is more along the lines of a catalyst. He makes things easier for others, but does not take part afterwards. Furiosa would have accomplished her mission, but thanks to Max it was much easier.
Mad Max Fury Road is a film so heavy metal that it looked like an Iron Maiden video. The followers of the villain's cult (a name too complicated for me to remember) are the craziest thing in the film, including the band that I particularly liked. The women in this film, from the sweetest and most innocent to the most badass of all, were tough until the end and, as the film had a toe in Norse mythology, it makes sense that they would be like that. I loved it
I have never come out of a movie theater so simultaneously exhausted and pumped up. Yeah the whole thing is basically a 2 hour car chase with a few pit stops to catch your breath. Some of the best directors around commented on this movie that they have no clue how Miller was able to pull this off. The amount of planning and the time in the desert and all of those extremely real vehicles which they built and drove and did real stunts on. One thing you don't really catch on first viewing is how few words there really are and yet how much character info we get. Also, how insanely good at using the camera to keep us understanding the action. During the motorcycle jumps in the canyon, you'll have a shot where the bike enters from left going to the right and the shot will change to an opposite view for the next bike and it enters from the right and we cut as it is in the center to the next bike which comes from the center. He uses the action on screen to move your eyes into place for where the action will be in the next shot. He is literally directing the audience on where to look to not get lost in the insanity. That is next level action direction. It is why despite how rapid and fast paced all of the action is, you don't feel lost. It flows smoothly from one shot to the next keeping you focused on where the action is.
It's well worth looking up some behind the scenes videos for this movie. It's incredible how much of it was real cars, real stunts and real crashes. Like the polecats, and even that final crash of the war rig!
My favorite behind-the-scenes moment continues to be the short clip of Hugh Keays-Byrne in full Immortan Joe garb (but with his mask off) roaring at the War Boys that they look amazing -- and of the Boys responding in character. There's something so wholesome about that. What a class act he seemed to be.
What a lovely day it is for you to watch Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Addie. It's DEFINITELY non-stop action because in these kinds of movies, action speaks louder than words. Just as you have done so now, I also watched this movie for the first time when I was in preparation to see Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) in IMAX with my girlfriend, on that same day. I do hope that you also check out the original Mad Max trilogy with Mel Gibson as Max Rockatansky, as well. #MadMaxTrilogyForAddieCounts BTW, the masked man is Immortan Joe. And you just came up with a BRAND NEW word: "Acquence". EDIT: I also like how your nail polish matches your shirt.
Addie, you should definitely watch the first 3 Mad Max movies, "Mad Max" (1979) "The Road Warrior (aka Mad Max 2)" (1981) and "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" (1985).
Mad Max, especially part 2 The Road Warrior, was a major inspiration for the Fallout games. Max is known as the Lone Wanderer, he travels with a dog, he is armed with a sawed off shotgun, he travels the Wasteland, and he is sometimes forced to help people he doesn't want to help. His "armor" from the second movie is the same armor you the player start with in the game, and in one of the games there is even an NPC you meet named Max who greets you with a sawed off shotgun.
This movie is just steeped in texture and detail at every moment. The incredible death cult Immortan Joe had cultivated that mixes Viking Valhalla references, car culture, and inspiring a whole generation of irradiated boys to not even despair that they have tumors and will die but to embrace it and celebrate spectacular deaths. Incredible and just told through actions and philosophy. This movie is a total gem. Mad Max and The Road Warrior/MM2 are absolutely worth a watch too.
Mad Max was the original movie 1979 starring Mel Gibson followed by the sequel Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and the third one Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome with Gibson and Tina Turner. This movie won 6 Academy Awards. All directed by George Miller. The prequel to this is Furiosa which is in theaters now.
I actually prefer Fury Road. The Road Warrior is legendary, but it doesn't come close to Fury Road's action, stunts, attention to detail, editing, music and storytelling. Like, the emotional moment when Furiosa drops to her knees in the desert, it gets me every time. Nothing in The Road Warrior really gets me too emotional, and the cinematography and action don't come close to Fury Road either. Plus the character arcs are amazing in Fury Road too, and I find Immortan Joe way more of an intimidating villain than Humongus.
More than anything else, this movie proves that Australian stuntmen are absolutely crazy. Other than the sandstorm there's basically no CGI in this movie. It's all practical effects.
I have grown to appreciate the guy shredding on his guitar, throughout the madness (his the icing on the cake). Also it's cool to see that Tom Hardy's role as Bane left an impression.
So glad you liked fury Road so much. There are so many subtle layers to the story, which initially just looks like a nonstop action movie. My favorite question that it asks is, what is religion? The Warboys are all dying of cancer, living a half-life, and Immortan Joe promises to take them personally to Valhalla, where they were live again, as long as they do his bidding.
i swear some of the movie popping up on this channel lately are ones I've just assumed in my brain that I've seen Addie react to, but obviously never have.
This is 1 of at least 3 movies in 5 years where Tom Hardy had to wear something over his face/mouth for a stretch of the film. (The Dark Knight Rises, Mad Max: Fury Road, Dunkirk)
Interesting bit of trivia: Director George Miller was almost the director of DC’s Justice League but the writers strike happened and it killed the attempt. He had a whole cast ready, and two of them are in this movie: Hugh Keays-Byrne and Megan Gale, who would’ve played Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman.
You should react to the original trilogy Addie. Max wasnt always like this, and you get to see the journey that turned him into, "Mad" Max. I for one would love to see you do them. ❤
I just watched Furiosa "two days ago" I think it might be leaving the theater soon... glad I caught it. I quote an older version of Mad Max... in a heavy accent, "Two days ago, I saw a vehicle that'd haul that tanker..."
I like the theory that the three warlords represent a version of the four riders of the apocalypse, Immortan Joe as Conquest/Pestilence, the People Eater as Famine and the Bullet Farmer as War. To complete the set, Max would be the Death as whereever he goes, death follows. Also he took out everyone in that night scene off-screen, which with there being so many enemies there seems highly unlikely. His constant visions of the people he couldn't save also could be interpreted as the dead he's carrying with him.
3:05 ironically, there is an actual videogame tie-in with this movie, the plot of which is apparently referenced to in the prequel (and the game is pretty good, too)
Seeing this film in the cinema was one of the best experiences I've ever had with films. Addie please react to the film stand by me (1986), hug from brazil, love u ❤
I love the Fan theory that Imorten Joe, the People Eater, the Bullet Farmer and Max represent the four horsemen, Joe is pestilence, bullet farmer is war, people eater is famine and max is death, he even says at the beginning about running from the living and the dead. Max even goes off by himself and takes out the bullet farmer and all his men all by himself, bringing death to them. likely not canon but still an interesting idea
Nux starts out as a unsympathetic antagonistic character that end up becoming the most sympathetic death by the end..its ALL Nicolaus hoults performance. He is soo childlike and wants someones,ANYONES approval!! At first it's immortan joe because he was born n raised to believe that his approval is all that matters..at the end he starts getting the approval and sympathy from the ppl he was raised to hate and look down upon, it's like the minute he experiences general kindness for the 1st time in his life and decided to hitch his wagon to their train lol.
0:01 WHOA.. Cool voice impression, Addie! 😂😂 Jokes aside, this is my favorite Mad Max film alongside the second one and Furiosa, a brand new film that was a prequel to Fury Road.
in regards to the water this being set on the east coast of Australia, Australia has the worlds largest underground fresh water basin covers a large portion of the entire eastern side of the country thats where the water comes from
For centuries armies would march into battle with a drumline keeping them in cadence, then they wild line up and trumpeter/buglers would play their "calls" to signal the army to stop, attack, etc. Think of the trumpet "song" everyone knows that plays before you yell "CHAAAARRRRGE!!" and run into battle. That's what the guitar guy and the drummers in back of his truck are representing.
I’m glad that you were so into the vibe of this movie. The earlier ones are as much about the myth of Max than about a specific character. That being said, if you want to watch the earlier ones, I would suggest 2>3>1 for the sequence. The first is pretty slow, but the second absolutely nails the vibe, and the 3rd is that with a bigger budget and also Tina Turner. I’ve seen the second more times than I can count over the years.
Loved your reaction. Just one thing : the "doof warrior" (guy on the music truck) isn't so much for motivation as communication. They don't have radio, they use this to coordinate, same way we used trumpets and clarions in ancient times.
Love this movie so much! The movie pace is like an engine revving. Action! Slight break. Aaaaaction! Break. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaction! The minimal dialogue and “show don’t tell” was super cool! You know exactly what’s going on without being told. Immortan Joe is a great villain because he is “pure” evil but you see remnants of his humanity. His care for the brides, while evil and twisted, was genuine to the point of risking his own life in crashing the car to desperately try and avoid hitting her. He is evil, no question, but just enough humanity remains to make you hate him even more. Something that makes me sad too is the death of the War Rig. It took them so far and kept going far beyond what just a machine should do. It was a character in and of itself and Nux death always hits me hard but the War Rig deserves some respect too! Loved the reaction as well!
Addie, I saw the new prequel, "Furiosa: a Mad Max Saga", and it's really excellent! You should see it! Also, you should see the original "The Road Warrior" and "Mad Max: Thunderdome"! They are part of the OG Trilogy and it's awesome! The first film, called "Mad Max", is also a great movie but it's very much a Cult film and it's really a "Foreign" Film because the Australian actors are so hard to understand, with their thick accents. They needed to overdub the movie with voice-overs that were more marketable in America and in the U.K. But it's a great film. All of these films are violent and "apocalyptic", with "The Road Warrior" and following being Post-Apocalyptic" films. Very hard-core but truly classic!
Thunderdome is still my favorite Mad Max movie. Then Road Warrior, both of which I love. I like this, and the first movie, but not nearly as much as everyone else. "Than who killed the world?!" is my favorite line, and it always gets me.
Your face when Immortan Joe got his mask ripped off (29:03) was worth the price of admission here all by itself. Clearly you don't see a lot of movies like this one! :)
Intense/crazy movie. Love that they used alot of practical effects in this movie, but have a feeling the new one will be mostly CGI. Addie hope you'll watch the original three Madmax movies. I won't give spoilers but actor Hugh Keays- Byrne playing the head bad guy Immortan Joe in this film was also in the original 1979 Madmax as a different character. The first movie was made on a very low budget approx $350,000 us, and wasn't expected to become a success/franchise. The newest movie is a prequel as there can't be a sequel to Madmax Fury Road with both Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron because they apparently didn't get along and don't like each other. Movie Directors should really do chemistry tests between lead actors ahead of time to avoid that kind of situation .
There's a 4 part comic book series that gives a backstory to Nux and why he was given that name. Also a backstory to Immortan Joe (the scary guy), and of course to Furiosa. Also a backstory to the creation of the War Rig. The story begins after the events of "Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome". And "Fury Road" is no.2 in my view of the greatest film of the 21st century (after The Dark Knight).
I've often heard this movie described as having "nonstop action", but after watching it all the way through to the end several times, I can confidently say that it eventually does stop.
All reactors say the same thing " I'm so interested in finding out the back story for max" well maybe you should start at the beginning with the original Mad Max and go from there.
I agree but I think it may be too late. The first few movies would’ve set this one up really well, but watching backwards I think ruins the impact of the originals.
There's one gap in this film I have a hard time overlooking: the War Rig was GOING to Gas Town to fill up the fuel pod. So how did it have enough gas in it to explode like that during the chase with the Rock Riders? Okay, I lied; it would have taken him three days to chisel through the hardened padlock bolt on his mask, especially behind his head. The spiky 'Buzzard' vehicles - and the growling digger truck - were an homage to an even crazier Australian film called 'Cars That Ate Paris' (US title 'Cars That Eat People'). The most famous image of the movie is a silver VW beetle covered with spikes.
"You need water to live, buddy!"

"I would not care to live in this world. I would have been dead a long time before this, though."
That's the thing about post-apocalypse situations.
"I am the scales of justice. Conducter of the choir of death. Sing brother, sing!"
sing, Brother Koch. As in - Heckler und Koch.
And I love that by him being blind and just shooting randomly, he is the most fair justice of all, completely unbiased.
Imortan Joe's face being torn off turns Addie in to Mickey Mouse... Who knew? \= )
She did it at 2:58 too. "Gosh, this is horrifying." Mickey Mouse sounds intensify. 😂
(Shoutout to the replies for correcting me)
Also, the music he and his drummers play, awesome as it is, does actually serve a purpose for the warband beyond motivation - the music signals the Immortan's orders to the other cars so they can stay in formation or change course on command. You can see an example when all the cars come to a stop during the nighttime sequence, he just strums a steady "holding pattern," to signal for the other cars to stop and wait.
And Conan O'Brien cosplayed him for Comic Con!
His name is Coma, not Conan.
He's the heavy metal version of a military bugler.
@@kuhpunkt Huh, right you are. I'll fix my comment, thanks!

The best action flick in years, maybe in more than a decade... great choice.
Absolutely, a masterpiece. There are so many scenes that make me yell “Hell yeah!” every time.
This movie was absolutely bonkers insane craziness, but I mean that in the best way possible, as every single scene was a fatal accident on the freeway, that you can NEVER turn away from.
This really, really... really needs to be seen at a cinema.
Witness me!!!

Mediocre!
AVENGE MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Huh? What? Oh sorry I missed it.
0:01 the most adorable impression I've ever seen
18:05 , 18:14 (where he is having trouble motivating), 24:25 (to get everyone moving), 27:55 ,
7:00 & 8:15 - if they die gloriously, witnessed by their fellow Warboys, then they will Mcfeast in Valhalla for eternity.
Thank Max at 10:39
18:58 - tells you how bad the future is, when a Warboy cannot recognize a tree
19:08 - Furiosa is an amazing shot
20:29 - he is pretty dangerous too
21:10 - free-range protein
23:16 - he is also talking about himself in that sentence
23:54 - Do Warboy Nux and Capable make a cute couple?
25:38 - the PeopleEater likes his food tenderized first
29:37 - Nux has come full circle. Instead of dying for his own glory, he did it for others.
30:29 - Max remembers he is human
31:09 - Max is more along the lines of a catalyst.
I loved it
Just installed my first very budget sound system, 3 speakers and a subwoofer, very budget....this was the first movie I watched and it was amazing!
4:12 "Oh, okay. I can't wait to see him die at some point."
29:01 You asked for it.
There were three movies before this one. It's like you jumped straight into the chorus from the Ballad of Max the Mad.
You need to watch mad max
Mad max 2 road warrior
And mad max beyond thunderdome ❤
After furiosa this movie somehow becomes so much better
It's well worth looking up some behind the scenes videos for this movie. It's incredible how much of it was real cars, real stunts and real crashes. Like the polecats, and even that final crash of the war rig!
My favorite behind-the-scenes moment continues to be the short clip of Hugh Keays-Byrne in full Immortan Joe garb (but with his mask off) roaring at the War Boys that they look amazing -- and of the Boys responding in character. There's something so wholesome about that. What a class act he seemed to be.
I recommend the book. Blood sweat and chrome which goes into the 20 year odyssey that was making this movie
Yeah, the book was great and really described the insane way the film was shot and how hard it was on everyone.
I am just loving your narration as you take in really dense action scenes 😂 ‘oooh here’s a big boy!’ 🤣
Heck yeah. I think last video I just commented that I would love to see a Fury Road reaction, and here it is! :D
My favorite of the many great things in this movie is the way the spiked cars make sense in retrospect once we find out about the pole boys.
For me, the best film in the franchise is Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior from 1981. Phenomenal work by the stuntmen.
Yeah that one goes hard into how crazy the world has become. By fury road this is just everyone's normal.
@Addie The mad Max franchise is one of my favorites in film, so glad you got this in your reactions now :)
More than anything else, this movie proves that Australian stuntmen are absolutely crazy.
Other than the sandstorm there's basically no CGI in this movie. It's all practical effects.
"no CGI" is just invisible CGI.
And this actually has quite a lot of it.
ua-cam.com/video/exK_fVmY8Jk/v-deo.html
They weren't Australian.
They were Canadian because they had to hire Cirque du Soliel to do stunt work.
You shoul watch all of the Mad Max movies, especially Road Warrior.
This movie made me fall in love with film making. I didn’t know a movie could be so entertaining and well crafted at the same time.
i swear some of the movie popping up on this channel lately are ones I've just assumed in my brain that I've seen Addie react to, but obviously never have.
props to addie for recognizing nicholas hoult, many people didn't.
This movie was incredible in the theater in 3D.
This is 1 of at least 3 movies in 5 years where Tom Hardy had to wear something over his face/mouth for a stretch of the film. (The Dark Knight Rises, Mad Max: Fury Road, Dunkirk)
Even when he doesn't have anything over his face, he usually does his best to sound like he does
Don't forget Venom.
@@mizrolist - That ain't the same.
You should see where all starts... MadMax 1978.
The music and sound system are there to pass commands to the other cars over the noise of the engines, like a bugle was used in old battles
one detail I love about this movie is when they decide to drive through “the salt”: the ocean that evaporated.
31:09 Max is no king. He thinks that he doesn't deserve happiness.
Fun fact: the guitar player guy on the huge truck is called "the Doof Warrior". 😛
Interesting bit of trivia:
Director George Miller was almost the director of DC’s Justice League but the writers strike happened and it killed the attempt.
If you have not you should watch all the mad max movies in order of release it’s such a great franchise.
I just watched Furiosa "two days ago" I think it might be leaving the theater soon... glad I caught it. I quote an older version of Mad Max... in a heavy accent, "Two days ago, I saw a vehicle that'd haul that tanker..."
Legend has it guitar guy is still playing
The guy tattooing on Max is the "Organic Mechanic", who has a bigger role in Furisoa, coming to digital next week😅
Honestly it's one of the best mainstream blockbusters ever made.
3:05 ironically, there is an actual videogame tie-in with this movie, the plot of which is apparently referenced to in the prequel (and the game is pretty good, too)
Fun fact: The actor who plays the main bad guy (Immortan Joe), also played the main bad guy (the Toecutter) in the very first Mad Max film in 1979.
Best Timing of the Video: "This scene is stressful!" 😆
He at least got to die historic. I'm sure every time they do the tell, they make sure everyone remembers him.
Oh, what a reaction! What a lovely reaction! :)
0:01 WHOA.. Cool voice impression, Addie! 😂😂
Jokes aside, this is my favorite Mad Max film alongside the second one and Furiosa, a brand new film that was a prequel to Fury Road.
in regards to the water this being set on the east coast of Australia, Australia has the worlds largest underground fresh water basin covers a large portion of the entire eastern side of the country thats where the water comes from
For centuries armies would march into battle with a drumline keeping them in cadence, then they wild line up and trumpeter/buglers would play their "calls" to signal the army to stop, attack, etc.
Thanks for your Bane impression. It really made me chuckle!
@@NemeanLion- I think they'd be hard to get through for younger audiences. I say this as somebody who LOVES the Road Warrior.
@@charlessunkyst Nah, maybe the first one to a degree but definitely not the second. It has always done well.
The fuel pod was supposed to be empty. However, it was full of fuel for use as payment (13:28).
@@-dd-7475 HOW was it full of fuel for payment? They were going to Gas Town to get it FILLED.
the Amazon reviews for silver spray paint were hilarious when this movie came out.
The redhead bride 👰♀️ and the guitarist are married in real life ! If I’m correct they meet on this movie.
We love you Addie🥰
