On the other hand, it's known that the sixth episode of Season 3, "Autumn Winds", has been written by George R. R. Martin personally. It sound likely that Martin picked the most important event of the season for himself to write, and that's undoubtedly the Red Wedding.

Well A Storm of Swords is being spread across two season, so thats like 20 episodes. It wouldn't make sense to have RW only at episode 6, when it takes placed about 2/3rds of the way into the book. But, who knows.
So by now we all know that the 3rd and 4th seasons of the show are going to be the Storm of Swords split over two seasons.
This video is absolutely killing me by teasing how much of the book will end up in the 3rd season.

Apparently season 3 ends with RW, seeing as its already being filmed. A good way to end a season, definitely.
