I got overwhelmed just imagining myself being in the shoes of those day to day hands on producers. Kudos to you beautiful people for bringing one of the best TV shows ever to life.
your words are perfect, Mr. Pliskin. I cannot imagine any TV show as amazing as GOT. They've managed , through diligence and incredibly hard work, to "raise the bar" [for both quality and content] so high --> that now when I watch other shows within this genre they appear amateurish. I hate to make comparisons, but it's become hard not to notice the tremendous difference .
The degree of devotion, the desire to create art that is as perfect as it possibly can be, seems to be a common thread that everyone involved in GOT shares. Over the Seven Seasons thus far, this grueling process has culled the wheat from the chaff... we are left with a group of brilliant individuals: creators of mind-blowing sets, which often takes weeks to create (if not months!) in many cases, beautiful costumes, absolutely amazing directors, VFX geniuses, the most talented makeup & prosthetic crews, oh and how can I forge the mad geniuses who work with the horses, as well as the talented creators of the weaponry and those who ensure that the actors know how to use it as if they were born with a medieval sword or arach (sp? not sure but that was meant to be the name of the Dothraki curved blade) in their hands! I am so excited for Season 8 but I know many feel as I do --> can't wait for it to start but we know that we'll grieve it when it is over.
OMG!! THIS is to all of the people who didn't give an award for this show. 260 days of filming... Just wow.
The problem of awards is that they should be given by the public, the audience, not by jealous childish peers

Nuno Marques TWD not Emmy-deserving? Are you kidding me? They may not have shot in 5 countries over 151 sets blablabla but they easily rival GOT's viewership. AND they build their own sets, AND they do genius zombie make-up+efx, AND they bend over backwards for character + story, AND they have a superb cast ... AND they completely redefined the zombie genre.
GOT and TWD are two of my absolute favs, but please ... no hate for one over the other. They are both works of absolute artistry.

3 years later.... Well I gotta say "watching it for free" is the only option for some of us in countries that don't get it aired on local TV nor do we have access to HBO (OR CAN'T AFFORD TO)... When you get the chance, just go and buy a set of the Blu-Ray or DVD set! Guilt gone! :p

Dennis Reynolds I'm talking more about the people who are saying "I came here to watch the cast talk about their day." As much as I love the cast, all they have to do is show up. The crew are the ones setting up stages, props, costumes weeks in advance! They need to be appreciated too. That's who I was talking to.

Yes, but without the cast, there would be no show, The cast is just as important. They are the characters we get attached too, if one were to parish off the set, The whole damn show could fall. In all honesty, it may even be the viewers who are the most important.

To be honest I thought it was a video of behind the scenes of actual scenes spoiling some events about the season but it's about the crew etc and i'm completly and utterly astonished. Anyone who talks shit about this video is mad, these people work so hard for us to watch a quality show and I can't believe how much stress and responsability they must be on. I thank each one of you for making this show happen. The crew is seriously amazing

One doesn't have mind to see just how much work does go into this series. I am in awe of all of you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for so far six seasons of amazing work. My gratitude knows no bounds.

Masha Osetrova book reader and no she isn't fireproof. No Valyrian is fireproof, they just have greater heat tolerance to fire. As for Dany's scene when she walked into the funeral pyre of Khal Drogo, GRRM said that was a ONE off and she survived that due to the magical element in the pyre

this kinda makes me cry. i see this world and i want to be in it i want to act i want to make movies but i feel like i am not good enough to be an actor and i will probably never be where they are right now...
Well you can only know if you try.
There are probably people in the show, maybe even some of the principles, who felt this way at one time or another. Don't give up if it's your dream.
If you feel like you won't be good enough you never will be. You've got to believe that you are good enough, and that you can get even better. Join a drama club or take classes and just practise. It's all about confidence, if you believe you can do it that's half the battle won.

Well these people who are in this show have probably been in the acting world since they were children and have earned their spot there. You can't compare yourself to people who've been in the acting world for a majority of their lives because that will just make feel like you can never be great. Everyone has the potential to be great and you need to focus on yourself and your craft and you have to think about what is best for you. It is so freaking hard to break out in anything in the arts but still, people do try and often succeed. I'm not going to sit here and tell you, "If you believe in yourself, you'll be a star!" Because that's absolutely not correct and you'll only end up disappointing yourself. Stay humble, surround yourself with good people, and work on your craft and your skills as an actor because that is what is going to pay off in the end! You're going to have to work your ass off, but as long as you love what you do and you put your heart and soul into it, then you will end up somewhere great. Only time will tell.
Those are some incredible numbers at the end. Can't wait to see all the hard work those thousands of people have put into season five!

At this point in sure season 5 most likely has a budget over 90 million dollar
That is a lot for a tv show but its not even close to the 745 million that was spent on the Hobbit movies

The Hobbit trilogy cost 650 million more than a season of Game of Thrones, hilarious isn't it?

I absolutely love this! Wow! I didn't know it was produced in real locations. I want to keep on acting and one day I will participate in something this majestic! I appreciate all the hard work from the crew it translates in the show. It's a piece of art, every scene.
I love these behind the scenes videos. It's such hard work, but everyone seems to get along like one big, happy family, and are having so much fun with it (best workplace ever?). Ian Beattie cracks me up, here, and it is sooooo weird to see his true personality, when you compare with that of Meryn Trant!

Actors and directors aside for one minute. My hat goes off to the people who most of the general public will never know about. If you are one of them and your eyes meet this message, I just want to thank you for helping to make this show the best show(borderline 100+ hour movie) in the english-speaking world. +AzraelEdits This may sound like dumb advice, but... Move to LA. Get a camera. Practice with camera. Hang around events/mixers/meetups and say you're a camera op w/ a camera.

+AzraelEdits Honestly, if you have your own camera, you're going to be immediately attractive so someone. It might be a grad student at USC or it might be a random actor you become friends with, but if you're willing to work and practice your craft, you'll be fine. A buddy of mines brought a drone recently. He took it out to different areas - the beach, the city, neighborhoods, etc. Started shooting random footage and got some awesome stuff... guess what he puts now on his website? :)

They always show Cersei, Jon and Dany during almost every "behind the scene" video, it's quite boring for me. I would like to see for example a Baelish/Sansa, or varys behind the scene video...But they always show only these people....they aren't everyone's favourite I think.

This just made me that much more excited for season 5. I'm really glad they made this..it's so cool seeing one of your favorite shows being filmed and how it's filmed, especial Game of Thrones. They put so much work into it and it has definitely been worth it.
Too bad HBO does not do more episodes each season. Could inlcude more from the books. 10 is not enough....just so much going on...
