Fun fact: The muzzle brake is much older than 30 years. It was first invented by the germans in 1942 and they used it on their Tiger 1 tanks. It was a military secret at the time but quickly became globally popular on tanks and heavy artillery. That being said, it wasn't until the late '50s when it became popular to put them on standard rifles.

Cutts compensator, 1926 was invented for the Thompson machine gun. It significantly reduced the muzzle rise during full auto firing.

I am running a Surefire Pro Comp on my 6.5 Creedmoor HMR. I've have not made many friends on the range as it's loud. Not as bad as the brake on my 338 Lapua Magnum but it's close.

How could a flicker band be mounted on the B14 HMR? I do not see any fixing point on the muzzle brakes presented in the video. Thank you.

Does Bergara supply a threaded muzzle protection device for hunting where one wouldn't be wearing ear pro.

The best groups I could get with my Bergara were 4 inches at 100 yds. with the muzzle brake. Shot 3/4 inch groups after removing it.

I heard a small number of bergara muzzle breaks were manufactured with bad tolerances. Check the inner diameter with a caliper.

Have several Weatherby rifles with BRAKES ALL shoot clover leaf groups,, noise while hunting is minimal,,, 2 guide's and my Wife all within 10 feet as I killed a Bull Elk,, I warned before shot ,, no one used hearing protection ,, After shot ,I asked if anyone's hearing was damaged,, not even a little , their BRAKES ARE THE BEST... 7 BULLS WITH GUIDES close no complaints.. same for a lot of my friends..

I just purchased my first Bergara wilderness hmr 300 win mag. I have owned Bergara barrels made for my T/C encore. I hope the rifle shoots as well as my encore . I know Bergara stands behind their products. Let’s just hope they haven’t hyped up the rifle line like some other gun manufacturers have been doing. It seems to be common practice to hear about the “ new” long range rifle from every manufacturer on the planet.

I wasn't familiar with Bergara rifles or barrels at the time when I purchased a B14 HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor. It has lived up to and exceeded the hype in my experience. First time outting using factory ammo by Hornady (143g ELD match) it put 5 rounds they the same hole at 100yds. It has been hands down the most accurate rifle I've owned. I just wish the H4350 powder it loves wasn't so hard to find and so expensive when I do find it.

Lou muzzle brakes do not increase the amount of noise, only direct the noise back at the shooter.
