Downward Vision Sensors
When disabled, aircraft relies only on GNSS to hover; omnidirectional obstacle sensing is unavailable

Simply Install this update via your RC 2 or connect to the latest DJI assistance for consumer drones. “If Imstalling via RC allow the RC time to reboot. This can take 5-10 minutes”

Couple of things: When you disable downward Vision assist it only relies on the GPS to hold position. Obstacle avoidance is also disabled during this time.
Active track 360 can be done in manual or auto
Mini 4 pro : only will work with the motion RC 2 and goggles integra
In 2012 my wife and I bought a brand-new Ford Focus. It was the top trim because she wanted a sunroof, and apparently you couldn't get that without also getting everything else. One of these "features" was that it paralell parked it's self...no BS, a Ford Focus actually hunted for a spot and steered it's self into it. The only input you needed to give was to throw it into reverse and work the brake. Here's the problem though...I already know how to parallel park, so even though that feature worked shockingly well, much like a 360 drone pano that takes 150 shots to complete, it was really only worth showing off to your buddies that it can do it.
This is a great Christmas present from DJI. And thanks for your very thorough overview of all the new features these drones now have. I'm looking forward to getting the updates completed and testing them out in the field. Great video Ken, thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays.

I see they made RID a firmware update by making it function if you use one of the extended flight batteries which would put the weight over 250gms. Your drone telemetry and controller location will be broadcast automatically when using the heavier battery now with the Mini 4 Pro.

Thanks for sharing the video. Always love watching the updates on the Mini 4/Air. Wonder if DJI even celebrate Christmas? Could they not just give us everything now instead of waiting for a update or a new drone? Instead of putting a new drone out why not put that energy into fixing their fly apps, bring them up to date. Maybe match what Litchi as well as Maven has provided us since the Mini 2 debut? Until DJI offers pr-mapping via pc I will stick using my mini 2. Most of the new auto pilot and AI co-pilot have been available for years. Makes me think DJI is all about the buck then the pilot.
Just curious yet have you ever used either the maven Lite or Litchi app? Are you allowed to test drones using 3rd party software? I understand as I wouldn't want to mess up being a DJI reviewer either. If you ever did..don't think all these new DJI updates would be as exciting. Make ya kinda wonder why they give everything to us as piece meal?

A great video as always but could you please please please as the first UA-camr worldwide measure the latency between the goggles Integra and Mini 4 pro? Is it 40 milliseconds like the Avata or 150 milliseconds like to the remote Controller?

I am surprised that you don't use 360 aerial panorama for your real estate virtual tours.
I imagine that being able to use the 3x lens will bring anything interesting in the background closer allowing better clarity of the background.
Just a note I have found that photographing dense trees is one of the easiest ways to tell how good a camera is. A good camera will be able to pick out the leaves and will also allow you to see further into the dark areas of the tree. Just my observations.

It’s also important to mention that this new update automatically activates remote ID when using the extended life battery on the mini four pro in the USA
It broadcasted remote id before anyways with the larger battery
Hello, I tested it out. It automatically transmitts RID like normal when using plus batteries. Automatically stops transmitting RID when using the ultra light batteries.

Careful with the drift! I just crashed my drone in my room cause I turned off the new “disable sensors” option. Drifted right into the wall 😂 (had to change a set of propellors)
Yes it will drift, I’d only do it for landings 😂

Augmented reality has been available for a couple of months now. Great review just confused about the augmented reality apparently. I just tried downloading the new firmware which includes vision assist it’s not showing up yet for my Air 3 or mini 4 pro but I do have augmented reality on both and have been using it for about 2 months since the last update a couple of months ago.

New here - forgive me if I do this wrong, but two questions:
Goggles 2 compatibility chart *does* indicate M4P is supported, and when I installed the update on mine last night, the update notes that showed on screen also said the same, so I'm just wondering if I just misread something?
Also, to use the goggles (whichever pair), does it HAVE to be with the motion controller? Or can you still use the RC2 to do the actual piloting? I'm guessing not, but I know next to nothing about flying with goggles/FPV but want to start getting more into it.

Drone air3 is meant for filmography, not to see what obstacle camera sees. Useless perk. For me. I will check how it works and never use it again.
Handy for seeing cables in my case, I use the Air 3 for inspections. The APAS sometimes misses obstacles, always good to have a backup
