LOL. When I upgraded from the OG to the 3 pro it was definitely a game changer just having front and rear OA. Helped lower the anxiety a little bit.
You should get mini 4 . worth an upgrade 👍🏻

We spent all day filming the new Chevy ZR2 Bison today in Palm Springs and Johnson Valley. Then I pop this open to see what's up with the Mini Pro 4 Pro and the opening looks --- boom! There you are in basically the same place. Also the Mini Pro 4 looks sweet for such a small little package.

Amazing review as always. Probably is not that windy, but the drone is rock-steady in moderate winds. It's amazing how much R&D DJI puts into these drones when they have, basically, no competitors.

The mini is now perfect. All I ever thought was lacking was from the Mini 3 PRO was not having 360 obstacle detection.

Oh boy....here I go again. Watching droooone videos before bed every night! I still have yet to buy a drone, any drone. Love filming, love photography, love video editing and sharing it and creating. Maybe this is the one! Obstacle avoidance is nice! Maybe buy the DJI replacement thing too? Great review! Super chill. Maybe this is the one I finally buy...maybe. I always end up worrying about not being able to fly it anywhere due to restrictions though.

You’ll find that there are a lot of rules and regulations overseas sooooo get your self acquainted… even for 249g drones….
@EIt3pRo I do plan on researching all of their rules and regs! Last thing I want is to get in any trouble overseas.
I am very impressed, the first camera I have seen that uses computation to punch above the sensor's weight for the most part.

I agree! Many drone filmmakers want to be in their shots sometimes. It would be great if the you could attach the controller to your bag while it flies on autopilot
Totally with you on FOLDABLSTICKS or, PUSH-IN, or SOMETHING. Of all the issues we face, trying to hike with minimal equipment - I have a 1.1 lb. Carbon Fiber Tripod that I can put one leg under the flap of the Mavic 3 Pro/Air 3 Bag, then bring 4 batteries, RC-N2, Air 3 Drone, Split ND Filters, FX Filters (Blue/Gold Streak, Mist etc) all in a reasonable shoulder bag. Damn near perfection.

With regards to the sticks:
I got myself a plastic sun visor for the controller.
I was totally aware, that it wouldn't be great for its
supposed main function, but it DOES have two
pumps for when you flip it down, so you don't have to unscrew the sticks every time + it protects the screen
during transport.

Great video! If the RC 2 uses standard tripod hole for the straps, look at the Black Rapid sling strap. It’s for DSLRs, but it would have been perfect on your rock scramble.

My employer just got the Mavic 3 Pro and it's amazing! I'm looking into what I want to replace my personal Mavic pro first gen. I'm actually thinking about the FPV. We also fly the mini 3 pro. I like the mini 3 pro because if you crash at low speed the drone fall rarely breaks components. It's the high speed impacts you have to worry about.

Pgytech makes a thin little plastic shell that sits over the controller to where you never have to take the sticks off again. Game changer

Me who JUST got the DJI Mini 3 pro for a sick deal during Amazon Prime Days. I should’ve known the new one was just around the corner. I’m probably just gonna wait until the price of the Mini pro 4 drops when the 5 is just around the corner. But those sideways sensors are definitely a huge upgrade!
I've always wondered if DJI will ever make a drone with a small mp rear camera that could be used as a picture in picture display to see what's behind your drone. I feel like my anxiety would fade when flying my air2s lol. Great video!
They actually recently released a software update for the Mavic 3 series that does this. It's possible the Mini 4 could get the same update in the future.

As a solo content creator, filming hikes and outdoors stuff, I wish there was a lock button on the controller, it would have made things much easier, I should slide it in the bag and run, or climb a wall and not have to worry about pressing anything. With that said, as a M3P and M3C owner, I haven't used M3P since I got the M3C, difference is day and night. But M4P is probably the perfect drone now. I'd still choose the M3C over it though.

Regarding the drone noise.....Davinci Resolves audio software can actually COMPLETELY REMOVE the drone sounds while keep all the rest of the audio. It's amazing.

Do a comparison with old "pro" drones. For example against Mavic 2 Pro. I think the small ones came a long way and they might be even better then the old ones, so it might be worth upgrading although it's a downgrade
How's the photo quality compare? As a photographer, small form factor convenience would be nice
As a Mavic 2 Pro owner, I wouldn't trade for the image quality. The image still looks like a smartphone camera (because it really is 😅)
