      Yes but control of media is what LPC needs. They have tanked with every demographic except those over 60 where they have increased. Look at the polls. Older people get info from legacy media. $2.5B in subsidies control that.

      Because the public keeps referring to them as leaders instead of the representatives that they are, and it's gone to their heads. They see you as their subject. Nothing more. Democracy is dead, if we ever really had it at all.

    Neither your language, race or ethnicity has anything to do with how appealing your content is to the public in Canada or the rest of the world. If you make good content, your current audience will like it, the algorithm will promote it, those who are looking for it will find it, and new viewers will follow if they choose to. Here's a newsflash for confused Liberals who spend all their time looking for new ways to virtue signal and score political points (yes, that's what you're doing here) - most of the planet speaks English. This is why English speaking creators generally have a bigger audience. It's not complicated to understand and won't be remedied by artificially boosting content that most people don't want to watch or listen to, and forcing it on them. They'll simply stop using the service if it gets to that point. This 'equality of outcome' philosophy makes 0 sense in almost every circumstance its applied.

  • @eliwilson1146
    @eliwilson1146 Рік тому +13

    "I'm concerned that this will prevent people from getting normal content."
    "You're free to get any content you want."
    "So what does the bill do then?"
    "Dont worry about it."

    A certain rich and foolish man,who had made his fortune by lying and taking advantage of his neighbors, any way he could, suddenly realized he'd become fat and poor of health. Afraid and ashamed, but too proud to admit it, he hid himself,trying to figure out how he could keep his riches and power forever. He decided he would spread rumors about his neighbors to turn them against one another, while he stayed hidden. As his neighbors fought, they destroyed each others homes and burned each others crops. Finally, when they had become tired, homeless, and hungry, he cried out from his hide and said come, and let us unite and work my fields and you can live in my houses and I will feed you with our crops that we will grow. So when all was set up and his neighbors were working in his fields and living in his houses, he secretly journeyed to a foreign land where pestilence had put the people in distress, and told them that he had plenty of good land and good water that he would trade them for certain goods and laborers. Desperate, many of them came, and while his neighbors labored in his fields and lived in his houses, he secretly gave the foreigners their lands, making himself richer and to have more subjects. But while he was away dealing with the foreighners,, his neighbors began asking one another, where is our leader? He should be here helping us and supplying what we need to live and work the fields. When he returned to his home his neighbors were so happy and he gave them many exotic gifts of food, drink, and pleasurable things, telling them he had journeyed afar, buying gifts for them to make them more comfortable as they worked in his fields and lived in his houses. But soon after many of his neighbors became drunken and sick and unable to do their chores, for he had secretly tainted the gifts with the pestilence from the foreign land. Becoming weaker day by day, they began to question why and how had they fallen to this lowly state,when not so long ago we were all so happy and thriving. Struggling along and never coming up with a good answer, most all of them slipped away. Now the rich, foolish man had all of his neighbors land and plenty of new people for him to use as he saw fit...written by Mark Frazier 5/14/22

I think governments should butt out of the content that people are interested in watching and listening to. Let it be a free market. If French content (or any content for that matter) garners views then it should be based solely on its merits and that individuals are seeking out that content. That’s it, that’s all.
