Amazing race and racer! Some people love the Evo, some the STI. I like them both. I always loved the Evos for its look, and STIs for its boxer engine's low center of gravity and sound. Anyways you can't know which car is better by racing around a track with traffic. Driver skills and aggressiveness is what win races most of the time. If a driver time-attacks both cars multiple laps is where you find what's the best car for that track. The white STI driver start driving so much aggressive that pass everybody like nothing.I love to time-attack with a lot of cars in GT6 at Tsukuba Circuit. GT6 is so realistic that each car feels different; you can feel each car's weight when braking and cornering, and feel the under-steering, over-steering and snap over-steering. I have raced Evos and STIs, both cars have amazing grip and handling. The Evos understeer a little bit, but the STI is so unbelievable neutral that is faster. When I race I pick a really slower car, but I'm so aggressive racing that i pass everybody. I'd love to race both cars in real life, especially at Tsukuba. Does anyone know if STI is so unbelievably more neutral and gripper than EVO ?
The white sti gained on and passed the red evo on the uphill though... That was all car not driver aggressiveness... even the grey sti was pulling away from the red evo and gaining on the yellow on the uphill...
Yeah the difference is often from the car in those STI VS EVO ! Subaru always had many specials versions that Mitsubishi don't made ! Spec C is very fast version in corners speed, and they got some updates about ECU. There's even more faster with the Spec C RA-R which is just amazingly fast in corners and got 320WHP and a ball bearing turbo which make it no lags ! It's almost a racing car in the way it behaves !

damn.. I love a good ol' JDM Evo's and Sti's. Happy to say that I had a privilege to have owned an EVO IX MRSE. Great car!
In Gran Turismo, these two cars(the Evo IX and the Hawkeye STI) raced each other until March 2018, the very end. I'm going to miss these cars there. RIP you two.

06 STI Spec C has so much sound deadening removed and more expensive and lighter weight suspension components than normal 06 STI. Little more power too? ... Evo IX MR was never this much of an enhancement over normal Evo IX GSR... An Evo IX RS MR would have been a fairer comparison...

Crazy how when the evo loses fanbois go “Okay but what about the heavily tuned evo with 100 hp more and that cost 20k more” the evo trims they use all cost more than the Subaru trims they use and Subarus special edition tend to be light tuning, they aren’t a company that’ll make 400hp track beast like the evo fq400
Wait you realize that the spec c Sti is a special edition and it couldn't beat the stock evo mr in the corners? Your comment makes you look stupid. Evos have and always will be better.
A fair comparison would've been a 9 rs vs the spec c. But instead they put an A line and a Spec C against the 2 most tame evo trim levels. RS would've killed both subarus and any fq was unrivaled by subaru
@@benpurinton yeah and any fq was more expensive than any special edition Subaru 💀 that’s a dumb fucken comparison. And the difference between the gsr and rs is the weight…. All these evo’s weighed less than the sti’s… how would putting an even lighter evo make it more fair? They all had the same tire size, brembos, and power… yet they should’ve used an even more track oriented model for the evo? Fuck outta here with that dumb ass logic

@@shaloon64 Really? Those models are 02-03 Subaru WRX STi EJ207 not 2004 and above. EJ257 ( the 2.5L) are the 05-07 models and up. I own one.

Put an evo FQ320,360,400 you will see... Its easy to claim subaru are faster when you put special editions of the car against stock cars.. The evo was better but the STI was alot more powerful and it shows... A stock sti would of been a better comparison
Those were stock.. basically same price cars. Both stis outperformed both evos. It is easy to claim Subaru is faster because history says so, feel free to check WRC wins when you get a chance.
