When Fathers raised boys to become men. Where faith, family and loyalty meant something. We grew up in the best era, the last one of its kind. When love meant forever and family divorces weren’t too common. Great music lives on to share this memory. At least that was my experience. Innocence & friendships. If you were lucky to find one person in this universe that believes you’re the best, why would you ever do anything to disappoint that person? ❤️❤️

This takes me back to my middle school days, when I had a crush on a boy that lived down the street from me. Back then, skating was a weekly thing. This song came on and he rolled up to me and took my hand. I still remember the butterflies in my stomach and feeling like we were flying. Such innocence. He was so shy rolling up to me. I was blushing. He was such a cutie. :-)
Oh, this is one of those stories that you just love to hear. Now don't forget it. You will tell it to your grandkids one day and they'll love it!! Now it's time for couples skate...,🛼😊
Brings me back to my summer 1986 after I finished my fourth grade year of elementary school and despite my reputation of being a Zeppelin fan and rocker at the time this brings me back to my happiest summer of my childhood which would sadly come crashing down that November when my parents split up and subsequently divorce and then my best friend would move away unexpectedly during winter break in February 1987. If I could go back to my childhood pre-November 1986 I would in a heartbeat.

Your parents had great taste in music 🎶🎶. And the apple doesn't fall far from tree 🌴🌴. I hope your still listen to great music❤❤❤❤
I grew up hearing the 80 and I still hear all the 80 music I don't get tired of hearing!! If only I could turn back time? I would love to go back to the 80's ♥️♥️
Uma melodia dessa merecia um bilhão de visualização ❤❤❤
Great song. Who's listening in 2021? (let's pretend 2020 never happened)
Coach Tim absolutely true be glad when this year is over but love this song

Jesus loves you. ❤️All Glory to God.❤️ Hallelujah 🎶
👍
I get goosebumps too & never get sick of it :D
Omg me too
I have to admit I considered it to be one for the middle-aged mums and dads when it was a hit here in the UK at about pack-all-the-children-and-teens-off-back-to-school time at the tail end of the summer of 1986. I felt the same way about The Power of Love by Jennifer Rush in autumn 1985.
Should have more views....one of the best love songs of all time.
amen pal
Just heard it on the radio on March 6 2024. I had to rewind this so I came to You Tube. Loving this one.
Amo! ❤
👏👏👏👏

Lovely ballad by Peter Cetera. It was a big hit (it was #1 in 1986).
Fredo Joaquim the writer or composer is David Foster but Peter Cetera made it a great hit.
JEHM 76 Peter Cetera, David Foster and Diane Nini wrote this. Won a Grammy award or two plus the ASCAP award for most played theme song from a movie.
Best cancion
Back when movies were really good and the soundtracks were even better!
so glad my parents made me grow up with this instead of the newer stuff
One of the greatest love songs of all time, I love it
So glad PETER was able to sing his song after he left Chicago , he must have felt so good after he won a Grammy and golden globe award and so many more , bet they realized after it was to late !!!!!
But no Oscar? He lost to TAKE MY BREATH AWAY.
@@osmanyousif7849. He may have lost the Oscar , but he still won a Grammy and a golden globe ,it was one of most played song of the 80s , his voice will live on forever, Peter is a legend !!!!!
@@louisescutti1998 I know it was heavily played on the radio through out the summer of 86. Definitely a magical song.
Tonight it's very clear
'Cause we're both lying here
There's so many things I wanna say
I will always love you
I would never leave you alone
Sometimes I just forget
Say things I might regret
It breaks my heart to see you crying
I don't wanna lose you
I could never make it alone
I am a man who will fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you're dreaming of
We'll live forever
Knowing together
That we did it all for the glory of love
You keep me standing tall
You help me through it all
I'm always strong when you're beside me
I have always needed you
I could never make it alone
I am the man who will fight for your honor
I'll be the hero you've been dreaming of
We'll live forever
Knowing together
That we did it all for the glory of love
It's like a knight in shining armor
From a long time ago
Just in time I will save the day
Take you to my castle far away
I am the man who will fight for your honor
I'll be the hero that your dreaming of
We're gonna live for ever

hahahahahah exactoooooo, llegue de nuevo a los 80
+Otto Adler Extraordinario cantante!
Una de las voces más icónicas de los ochentas indudablemente.
Peter Cetera... One of the most unique sounding voices ever! Love this song and movie. What a beautiful song. He was perfect to sing it. ❤️

So true 💯
When Fathers raised boys to become men. Where faith, family and loyalty meant something. We grew up in the best era, the last one of its kind. When love meant forever and family divorces weren’t too common. Great music lives on to share this memory. At least that was my experience. Innocence & friendships. If you were lucky to find one person in this universe that believes you’re the best, why would you ever do anything to disappoint that person? ❤️❤️
@@bonjovirocks24 Couldn't have said it better myself brother... There will never be another 80's... In every aspects....
I’m tearing up hearing this song again let alone watching the music video. Reminds me of my dad that I just lost to cancer in March this year 😢 he used to sing to this song when it played on the radio

Back to a time when love meant more than a text on a cellphone. Peter Cetera is one of the best singer I've ever heard
Facts!
Sooo TRUE!!!
Lmao delusions are funny
"Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ also welcomed us, for the glory of God."
Romans 15:7
So when he made this song love had been dwindled down to a pop song. Making people long for the days when it was expressed more genuinely
See how it works?
This takes me back to my middle school days, when I had a crush on a boy that lived down the street from me. Back then, skating was a weekly thing. This song came on and he rolled up to me and took my hand. I still remember the butterflies in my stomach and feeling like we were flying. Such innocence. He was so shy rolling up to me. I was blushing. He was such a cutie. :-)
❤❤❤❤❤
Oh, this is one of those stories that you just love to hear. Now don't forget it. You will tell it to your grandkids one day and they'll love it!! Now it's time for couples skate...,🛼😊
Awww... that is such a sweet story. Thank you for sharing.
I NEVER comment on UA-cam videos, but this is an Awesome story. Thanks for sharing heart❤
Timeless. My daughter loves this and she's only 10 years. We dance to it
Try starship nothings gonna stop us now.
I loved listening to that when I was a kid and early teen, I danced with my sister to it, and we built this city. The 80’s were also great for horror movies.
Awee. Soo cute 😍
Reminds me of my little sister, I got her into MJ and Elvis when she was about 10.
@@viexay it's great to have her Gen listening to this era.. we need more parents who do that same too . Anything before 95 is great stuff. And if it's carried to another gen, then it won't be lost
Timeless…or she’s impressionable?
Peter Cetera was such an outstanding vocal. I just love his songs from the 80s, takes me back to my teen years...
The Greatest 80's power ballad of all time.
Lol…not even close.
I might have to argue with you on that one. 😁 Try Scorpions "Still Loving You"...
I'm not sure if it's even Peter Cetera's best power ballad of the 80's, Hard To Say I'm Sorry by Chicago takes some beating.
This is STILL a banger!
All of my 80s babies stand up!
1982 and lovin this song!
1981 and makes me remember my youth.
1986 and this is my mom's favorite song sadly she's gone i always miss her
This song just turned 38yrs old. The 80's were a magical time to grow up. 💯👍🏼
My God am I old! I remember babysitting and listening to this song over and over on MTV! Extremely nostalgic!!!
So much memories from the 80's. Makes my heart so happy. 💗💗💗 so glad we get to resort to UA-cam to relive those days and beautiful meaningful music thanks to these artists!!!
+monica lennon 80s were the best ...no cell phones , no caller id ...more romantic
+Jay D You cant beat today's music. Amazing compared to this slow stuff that you cant even dance to. Who needs romance when you have facebook?
Hauntingly beautiful. Peter Cetera, you are handsome, and your voice is Angelic. ❤
PETER CETERA QUE VOZ MARAVILHOSA MEU DEUS!!! CLÁSSICO!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 ARREPIAAAA

Que saudade do karatê kid
One if the best songs ever . The words just melts my heart
So true
Karate Kid e essa.música marcaram a infância da minha geração. Eu tinha anos. Peter Cetera é fantástico. Que voz.
😱
I like how Peter Cetera interpreted the song. His gestures, i saw determination and promise and story and happiness and sincerity.
I was just reminded of this song. We had the best music in the 80’s. I wish our kids could have songs like this.
This song was big in 1986. They played it on the radio all the time that summer. How do I know? I was there. I remember the first time I heard it on the radio I thought it was the best song and I couldn't get enough of it. I wish he was still making new music.
Lamarr Avery and the video was played all day on Vh1.
It wouldn't be the same as it was in the 80s even if he were making new music. It's the decade that helped to make the song great!
I remember bringing my Casio keyboard into school so I could play for my crush's show and tell. She has like 8 babies now.
do note, The Cold War has NOT ended then ! 1984/ mid 1980s ! ....and USA was not yet the SOLE superpower... so what??? USA as the sole superpower is actually quite recent decades and NOT the NORM for most parts of Post ww2 history or 20th century history although USA leads over Soviet Russia for most of the Cold war ; BUT Democracy and freedom of USA will still prevail, regardless against USSR / Soviet Union (real Super Power for some time or China - Fake "super Powder" / big power that Wish to be a future Super Power.
I was born on Wednesday May 22nd 1985.

Love alone is real
His distinctive voice makes him very unique. He’s a huge part of this phenomenal band named Chicago.

Timeless. Cant get tired of listening to it.
Me and my very first girlfriend I had ever met at summer camp. We went to go see Karate Kid 2! then the next day I got dragged to go to the cape for a week vacation with my father just to come back to find out we were broken up now. Damn you Peter, this song is forever embedded in a core memory. lol.
I loved this song way before I was doing Karate, I fell in love with the words, the tone, the piano and the feelings... This is music, the soundtrack of a real Knight... Who is listening to The Glory of Love these days? Anybody?
I'm here taking a break from heavy Metal right now
I'm listening until now
Me!!! Is nice to know and read that there is the world exists the romanticism and love for the nice things of life:)
Karate kid is a great movie itself but being a martial artist definitely make both the movie and the song a lot more meaningful! But let’s be honest who wouldn’t like Peter Cetera!!!
That was just corny as hell
Chorando e relembrando os anos maravilhosos da minha infância.
Snif, snife.
Ainda assisto esse clipe quando me dá saudade de um passado tão bom.
