What a perfect video man - good clear camera shots, good narration, even the torque specs! Not too rushed but also got to the point without wasting time. Thanks a ton for recording this!
I had to replace my Honda wheel bearing. Took your advice and got the ball joint at the same time. Turns out the ball joint was just as bad as the bearing! Was initially intimidated doing this job until I watched your video over 6 times. Took your advice on everything and it's all good. Thank you, my friend.
Outstanding, my brother, outstanding, just exactly what I was looking for you hit the nail on the head every time with the torque and everything. Thank you my brother you make my job much easier match of learning good learning good teaching.
Thank you for this video! Straight to the point, i appreciate all the details and torque specs. Its an easy job when you follow his directions and have the proper tools. I tried to reuse the abs sensors, but broke one and got new ones instead.
Ok Terence I see you… I’m saving this video because that’s exactly what I have to do on my 2017 Honda Civic. And I just subscribed to your channel. 👍🏾 I’m 👀 Ing you…

My abs light keeps turning on and off randomly when I'm driving and it feels weird it's making a clicking noise when I'm driving which could be the cv axle which I plan on replacing at the same time. Idk what's causing the abs to foul up but sometimes a bad wheel bearing can trigger an abs. This appears to be much easier than using an expensive puller tool
What could be a reason to replace a spindle/knuckle. I took my civic to get it aligned and mechanic told me spindle was bent and needed a new one but i took it off and replace a new one and see the same result any help ?

Good but two things i see not quite right, to turn in the Brake piston use a piston brake tool with a rachet wrench as the piston is supposed to turn as it goes in. it looked like the piston O ring was getting bent there. 2, Brake cleaner is for the Rotor as well. the anti seize on the rotor is bad, other than that a good video.
This style piston pushes in, not turn in. I have the piston brake tool. Those are mostly for the rear. The car drives great. Thanks for your insight and watching my content.

That spindle knuckle looks really weak compare to the OEM knuckle. Just look at the thickness comparison. I wouldn’t trust my life with the cheap flimsy aftermarket one
Hi Jay, you are absolutely correct however, you have to ask yourself how would that item make it to the aftermarket world without strenuous testing, multiple stamps of approval and tens of thousands of items sold and continuous sales. I wouldn't be surprised if it was equally as strong as the factory spindle even though it's smaller. Thank you SO much for watching.
I think I'm gonna have to do this( the knuckle) a dumbass mechanic tightened down the tie rod end with a half inch air gun so it caused the tie rod to bevel out the knuckle so now anytime I put a new tie rod in it busts no matter what I do bc you cannot tighten it now without it being too tight shake my head 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
@@TerenceDIY honestly it might be alright that knuckle is a peice a hunk metal I feel like the tie rod would pop from being tightened like that before it would cause damage? I would hope so anyways haha I may change the tie rod and measure it to save myself an alignment and see if I can tighten down the right way and see if it's fine

You should put springs on your brake pad. If not, they will stick to your rotor when you're driving, make noise and will wear out faster.
I've had trouble finding the springs for mine online at least . Still gotta go and ask at the store maybe theyre universal. I've never had them in the car but Im sure it would reduce noise and wear

Do the 2013 Honda civic share the same spindle knuckle as the 2011?
Nope. The 2013-2015 are alike. Thanks for watching.
What's the torque spec on the ball joint castle nut?
The Lower ball joint castle nut is 44-51 ft. lbs. Thanks for watching.
9 times out of 10 it's the hub bearing making that abs light appear. And you are correct about the clicking (bad axle). Thanks for watching.
Do you need to get a front end alinement than?
Nope. I have done quite a few of these and the alignments were fine. Thanks for watching.
What could be a reason to replace a spindle/knuckle. I took my civic to get it aligned and mechanic told me spindle was bent and needed a new one but i took it off and replace a new one and see the same result any help ?
Did you replace the lower ball joint as well?
@@TerenceDIY no i have not im goin to do taht see if it helps my negative camber is 3 degrees off that why mechanic told me it was bent spindle but from eye point of view looks the same

Do not put anti seize on the wheel studs threads. Your lug nuts may come off even if you torque them.
Thanks for the advice. I've done it for a very long time and have never had an issue. I've worked on a thousand cars in my life. Thanks for watching.
Can you link us to where you got your parts from? Just did the job with some WJB knuckles, wondering if anyone else has used them
Here is links for all the parts at the best price. This where I buy most of my parts from as I have gained a relationship with many sellers.

I hate to hear that. It's unfortunate that the mechanic treated it as if he were tightening wheel lugs.
Here are some links to some new parts that's priced great in the event you want to replace everything.
