- Asukayama Park is by far the best hidden sakura spot in Tokyo, in my opinion. If you're looking for a calm peaceful place that is less crowded to enjoy every minute of cherry blossom season, this park is the one.
Across the street, you'll find Otonashi Water Park, a retro vibe area with the wooden Funakushi bridge.

thank you so much! unfortunately, the sakura season is already over in Tokyo. if you're coming next week, probably need to go up north, like Hokkaido, for cherry blossom.
Is this easily accessible from Shinjuku? Will be in Tokyo with my family starting the 20th of March next year. Hope to catch the sakura in full bloom. 😊
it is only about 30 minutes from Shinjuku station by JR trains, 1 transfer. absolutely beautiful and calm park^^
