I am currently living in Germany and I want to return to South Africa despite the crime and corruption. Reasons why I want to leave Germany/Europe in general: I'll never be able to afford my own home, crime rate is increasing and we're not even allowed pepper spray for protection, being financially punished for being self employed through excessively high health insurance and social security payments, their overly complicated tax system, and bureaucracy in general. Although I have to live with high walls and security in South Africa, I feel more free there.
A great message here folks...if your not happy and your not prosperous in your life...don't suffer in a rut. I left the USA 36 yrs. ago & it was a LIFE SAVER & a future builder. Could never have accomplished. I did 2 tours in VietNam and the oriental lifestyle and culture is not for me...but it is VERY appealing to those who do find it their cup of tea. I also lived in Japan for a while recovering from helicopter crash and it too was wild and crazy as a young guy in the military. I also lived for a time in Colombia & Ecuador in my escapades ... NONE equal Costa Rica...it is #1 in security...climate...opportunity...and a reasonably sane gov. at least as sane as gov's get...ha...ha....ha.
Thank you for your story and support. Costa Rica was on my shortlist if Thailand didn't work out. I had connections to Thailand since 1988 so I made it my first choice.
Philippines for me mate. I am back there full time next month. I live in the Communist state if Victoria with all the abuses, corruption and criminality. I smile when people tell me how corrupt SE Asian countries are, they are harmless compared to western corruption. Don't get me wrong, there are many good people here, its the culture and the self seeking sociopaths grasping for power. I'm just looking for a peaceful existence out in the Province, not really interested in the city and/or the extreme amusements found there. So I totally agree with you. Cheers Aussie John
Great assessment on Western politics.
Thank you. Unfortunately not restricted to the UK.

All the best for new permanent home. Thanks for watching
I hear that the Muslims are at work trying to destabilise and take over the Philippines; is this true?
Too filthy, and too many people in desperation.

Agree with you all the way - alas it is the same with Thailand - The Power of the king and the manipulation of their parliament
@@cgj3888 It's concerning at the moment.
