Surprised you didn’t see Chris Harris curled up sleeping inside one of those 911’s 😂
Haha.
I was hiding in a tire. If you really listen at 2.36, you can hear me whispering, " Go away , mine "
I like how the one with "interest through the roof" is the one with 120,000 km on the clock. Cars are made to be driven, not stored.
Agree - was chatting about that with the RM Sothebys experts and they were explaining the two schools of thought on usage. Cars want to be run
No, cars are made to make profits for the people that make them!
@@prothewful Yes indeed but they are machines that have one job - people transport. So they are made to make money for the manufacturers to sell to people who need personal transport, not for people who want to collect mechanical art.
@althejazzman Regular cars are intended to be mere transport, but IMHO, superbly engineered, significant model Porsches created as a result of experience gained from motor racing, should only be used sparingly, on special occasions on dry roads, so as to keep them in as fine condition as possible, and allow them to last as “survivor cars”, not needing to be restored. A car is only original, once!
@@kirksheldon7342 I worked for Porsche for three year's. Porsche is a PLC, it has share holder's, everything it does is to generate profit. Just because you find the cars really cool shouldn't dictate how someone that owns one should use it. If you own something you decide what you do with it - I agree, but so many people say cars should be driven and not stored, that is a blanket statement which essentially is false. Cars are made to be sold and the owner should do whatever they see fit with it.
Nice to have a youtuber touring a garage and not just saying oh that car is a nice shade of red and that ones fast..thanks Ben..once that paint thickness device came out I knew you meant business 😂
I always mean business.
@@BenCollinsDrives you are more than a you tuber Ben.
lol like kid in a candy shop. best car collections but no knowledge
@@noahhiguera8114 yeah she flies around so fast she’s out the door 5 minutes after saying hello
That 993 Race Car looks absolutely beautiful.
Stunner isnt it.
Collins is everything 2023 needs
Fantastic Collection and well presented. RM should use you more often due to your unique insight.
Wow, now that is a serious collection Ben!
Ben is a true car guy. If I had proper amounts of freed money, I’d buy at least one of these cars. This is a museum quality collection. It would be hard to not feel guilty about driving these low mileage examples, but if it is yours.. you have to!
I see a Lancia Stratos! Outstanding.
Yes!
1 word.. OUTSTANDING !!!!
964 rubystone RS was my favorite air cooled we had in stock, loved it. We have a amathus purple RS in stock at the moment...some low mileage cars there....Ive driven an R, lovely car
Excellent collection, fabulous place!!!!
@7:23 I don't think I have ever seen a Porsche with bumper lights as big as these. Thought it was my eyes or camera angle. Or a "Murican" spec bumper from that era. They are massive. Originally the blinker lights were orange (Eeew IMO). Reminds me of nowadays Citroën C3/4 or over designed Korean car brands with 3 rows of lights on the front, where bumper lights are bigger than head "almost build in hood" lights. The ones that look like a face of a spider with six eyes lol.
Your break down on theses car was really good 👍
I cry inside cause cars like this should sit in a dark basement, but should be driven on the road!
If I can afford the jet black one I'd be changing the wheels to them blue ones! 👌🏻
Some beasts here for sure!
Dear Ben, such a fan of your channel; amazing content for us all petrolheads around the world; cheers from a fan in Mexico
Excellent video
Amazing collection of amazing cars
Shame that alot of them were not driven very much
I wish I had some money to my name to have one of this amazing machines
Amazing. And yet I'm still distracted by the Stratos and the 308 GT4.
Some phenomenal 996s in there 👀
The 356 Carrera 2 had a 2.0 liter 4 cam.
Omg. I’m stoked.
Unbelievable. 😍😍😍
Wow, some of those cars aren't even worn in! Just incredible. The debate is would you drive it like it deserves, or keep it pristine.
just, wow!!!
Very enjoyable viewing..throw in a test drive in one of them and it’s close to UA-cam motoring content perfection for me.
You did…just in a separate video. ua-cam.com/video/mvcMevxY8vo/v-deo.html
Dream Porsche Collection
My god the z8 is pure artwork 🤤
3 in one room!
Rather begs the question: why?!
I was looking for the White Slant Nose. Though, great collection I already have my Sports Car

Thanks Ben for the Awesome memories then and now. Awesome channel and desire continued success 👦👍🏎🏁🚩

Fantastic
Thanks.
Black R/S for me 👌🏻😎 911R 👌🏻😎
I’m so glad I had a chance to own fantastic automobiles in the early days
Have you still got your 997.1 turbo Ben?
993 wasn’t the first Turbo S. There were variations of 930 SE for French Market (Like Harry Metcalfe’s) officially called Turbo S and two factory 964s: 3.3 Turbo S and 3.6 Turbo S
Ok.... first mass produced Turbo S.
Those cars are fantastic
You're fantastic.
@@BenCollinsDrives thanks! Made my day! ❤️
Must be really challenging to move all those cars out of there!
Trust me it's like the worst game of tetris ever 🤣
😱really?! Those things can be moved?😂😂😂
The Dark Blue Porsche 356, was that car made under the Reuter company in the late 1950's early 1960's?
I'm so hopeful that these cars reach homes where the owners will enjoy driving them. A 930 Turbo with less than 1000 miles on the clock? What a waste of that car!
I still remember getting one in NFS: Porsche Unleashed and thinking it was the greatest thing ever.
I hate collections like these. Lovely to see the cars in such great shape, but knowing they were rarely enjoyed as cars is so disappointing.
Wow, what a beautiful collection.
It really is!
that white 997.2 gt2 rs, what a machine
Funny you should mention that one.... stay tuned.
@@BenCollinsDrives not only did Ben Collins just respond to me, but I managed to find out a future video
Can't imagine hoarding so many cars and not putting miles on them every summer afternoon. I hope those cars find owners who will drive them.
I dream of a seam welded 964 RS.
My mind is blown
Same here man.
Dang, you've found my NFS Porsche Unleashed collection ;)
Where's the M3 GTR?
looks like i need to buy a lottery ticket
Get me one too yeah?
964 all day ❤
Correct.
Ben, do you plan to acquire one of these?
I'd love to!
Got mixed feelings about cars like this that have hardly been driven over the years then get sold on as little more than museum pieces at museum piece prices. These are driver's cars being garaged in underground bunkers by crusty old billionairs as inflation busting assets... such a waste. If rich people want to hoard appreciating items they should collect Ming vases etc. Imo!
We should have a beer my friend. This hurts my heart to see cars locked away like this. It's like a zoo. That makes me equally sad.
It’s clearly a collection assembled to return profits, not out of love for the cars. And it’s that attitude of stocking and hiding cars that drives up the prices to ridiculous levels. Shame on them.
What a great collection but what's even better is that maybe some of the buyer(s) will actually drive a few of them and make new memories. The person who curated this collection will have helped make that possible.
Hopefully the buyers will have lots of fun with them.
@@BenCollinsDrives sadly the best I can hope for is maybe follow them down a few canyons and admire, maybe give 'em a compliment if we're both at the gas/"petrol" station . But what a great set of machines to draw inspiration from!
I choose mine 964 targa for me…in my dream
Just google "Standschaden". 😂
I thought Jeremy Clarkson was joking when he said Switzerland hates cars, until I visited and I am currently awaiting the many speeding tickets I have achieved
They keep them underground - saw some amazing sights kept out of sight
I'll take the 997 GT3RS 4.0.
Good call. There was 2 in here. White or black?
No 911 Turbo Slantnose?
Not in this collection!
@@BenCollinsDrives Darn. That is one rare beast.
Seems like Jerry Seinfelds collection.
Uh, are you holding back on the Carrera GTs? Or maybe an original 904 GTS? How about a 918? Just askin
I can only guess at some of the unreal car collections hidden, away from
sight in that country.
You could spend ages looking at just one of these cars, never mind trying
to get around a room full of them.
I wonder, as the people who built up collections like this get older, and maybe sentiment
starts to change towards petrol powered cars in the years ahead, will more collections like
this be put up for sale?
A 964 narrow body speedster is not a rare car, quite the opposite. The 964 wide body speedster is😉
:OOOO
Where did I go wrong. I would give a kidney for one of those cars.
They're going for auction soon!
What do you mean no reserve? So they will sell for $1.00? There must be some unofficial reserve
Nope, NO reserve! Get a cheeky bid in...
@@BenCollinsDrives 😳😲😀
Jeez...
Who died..?
And what were they thinking...
Sad to see such low use and miles, maybe someone will actually drive when now
Amazing. But I feel sorry for the poor cars with delivery miles. Hopefully someone will buy them and drive them. Rather than just buy them to make money.
|Drools|💙💚💛🧡❤🩹❣💟💕💞porsche :)))))
After all these years the headlights of the 996 would still be a deal breaker, didn't grew on me with the years as BMW's E60 5 series did for example
Nah, we love fried eggs!
Ur better than schmee at this. Hes so boring good video bro
It’s PorschE, for gods sake
IF you buy such a car with 390 miles .
You can't drive it, as you paid for millage just as much as the car.
Say Porsche correctly. If you claim to be a car guy you would say it correctly. Drives me nuts these “fans” of the brand and “pros” don’t say it correctly!! Most Brits just say well it sounds better to me so I knowingly say it wrong….ok fine but when walking around looking at them respect the brand say it correctly and say it wrong at the pub or in your brain! It would be like me or a famous driver turned media man like Nico Rosberg saying “Austin Martin” instead of Aston Martin simply because he thinks it sounds the same and I think it sounds better and how it should be. Screw the history of the company screw their legends screw the founders screw the great machines built by them and it’s thousands of workers over the years yup Austin sounds better so we are gonna knowingly do it!! Get it????
What a tragic waste.
What a waste. 390miles from new, of course the paint is original. It has never been used. These secret collectors annoy me; they force up prices, treating cars as investment items. Cars locked away in underground caves make no sense. They need to be used, driven.
why is that collection auctioned? because of a divorce?
To free up some space!
