Dimensions: 100х40х50 cm
List of fishes: Gasteropelecus sternicla (5x), Pyrrhulina cf. brevis (1m+2f)), Hyphessobrycon bentosi (3m+4f), Pterophyllum cf. scalare (Peruvian form, 2m+2f), Apistogramma barlowi (1m+1f), Otocinclus macrospilus (6x), Corydoras trilineatus (6x), Tatia intermedia (2x), Macrobrachium sp. (3x).
List of plants: Hydrocotyle leucocephala, Limnobium laevigatum, Lemna minor (cosmopolitan).
Description of equipment: The filtration was performed by Aquael Turbo Filter 1500. In addition, riparian plants and “flowing meadow” of water-surface plants (which I normally maintain even in larger amounts than was shown here) provide phytofiltration, giving the system stability even in presence of significant amounts of plant debris on the bottom. Biodesign LED lighter (17,5W, 6500K) and 100W heater are used as well. Aquael FZN3 filter was used to enhance water flow in the “Wet season” part of video.
Water parameters: Temperature is 24-26C, conductivity is about 40 ppm, pH is about 5,5.

In fact, imho this is what all aquarium keepers should strive for: A natural environment for their fish.
to have a conductivity of 40 ppm, are both kh and gh very low? how do you keep the pH stable with very low kh

, +1..!
Its better then porn. Lol
When i worked at petco. I always advised for local biotope set ups. So far i haven't had one complaint. Fish live longer, looks better, saves money.
I particularly like the accurate biotope, with the addition of a nicely integrated community of the proper fish.
One of the best set-up so far
Awesome. Best tank so far!
Absolutely gorgeous blackwater biotope!
This was freaking amazing
Fantastic Job, very inspiring to watch.
Magic atmosphere.
Mega klimatyczne akwarium, hydrocotyle prowadzone po powierzchni dodaje naturalny charakter.
Witam, moze kojarzysz rybe z 0,36 min. Pozdrawiam
@@kamiljarema7542 Hello, at minute 36 the pristella maxillaris appears and what I think is the apistogram.
I correct myself, it is not a Pristella, it is a Hyphessobrycon bentosi. They are very similar.
Nice biotope, looks great!
So satisfying 😍😍😍
Stunning
Omg this is amazing!!!!
Love this video at all 100 % 👍👍
Instant subscription.
Im here to be inspired. I have a long way to go.
Wow awesome !
this tank is amazing , one of my best bw tanks on yt... i wish to see it now.
5:56 - vanishing Otocinclus ;)
Awesome!
realy amazing 🤗😍
Best biotope
Impresive
Lovely
Perfect
Very beautiful. I wonder if the fishes tune in to the sounds of nature.
Nature at his best... what substrate did you use and how thick is this layer?
Wonderfull😇
I agree with all the comments; even in a large tank this would be great, but in a moderately sized tank like this it is phantastic.
Questions: is the tank covered ( hatchet fish ) and what species is the colourful dwarfcichlid ?
Stupendo
Beautiful... Only complaint is hearing a gibbon or siamang male singing ... Bring me down directly to southeast asia ;.)
This is a south American tank :)
There are fish that do not appear in the description right? I saw some pristella maxillaris out there.
WOW WOW WOW
How would you vacuum the substrate?
👍
Muhteşem
at the very end of the video you can see green cyano-bacteria on the roots which shows us that something is wrong here. I had a pretty similar setup in my 500l tank and had to quit everything after 1 or 2 years because of heavy and uncontrollable cyano-bacteria.
😍😍😍😍
Gulper catfish would love thay tank
🔥🔥🔥🔥💙🐟🐠
Size tank ?
No sound?
0,36 min
What kind of fish is this?
plant id please?
Great tank. Have you lost many hatchets?
Actually, no one hatchet was lost in about 1,5 year existence of this aquarium. My experience is, that such dense layer of flowing plants, spreading on most of the water surface, efficiently prevent fish (even notorious jumpers, like hatchets and Pyrrhulina’s) from jumping out.
@@user-nm4bv4eu7f hello, great biotope! How did you fix the big central root? What's behind it?
@@samueleperlo6381 thanks! I organized the roots to a bundle, using a plastic plate with holes above the water level (see image at the link ibb.co/3YFcM9w)
Wow this is my dream aquarium! Does anyone know where the info on this setup is?
on description
are those real dead leaves on the bottom? What about ammonia?
Well, dried dead leaves don't contain as much ammonia as people think. I've been using dead leaves for the past few years and don't have any spectacular ammonia changes by adding dead leaves. Neither do fresh leaves, though i'm always still carefull with those.
Yes, all the plant debris in this aquarium is real. The chosen leaves, pods etc. decay slowly and do not exude much ammonium at the moment.
What filter do you use?
Aquael Turbo Filter 1500
My Rio Nanay angelfish (Peru altums) love eating roots of Limnobium or Pistia until they kill them all. :)
What species is the black apisto?
A. barlowi
r.i.p fly....
What wood is this?
roots and branches of different deciduous trees from the forest + pine roots
The apisto has ich 🥴 to much bioload for a small tank
Can you tell me what leaf is that the large one?
1:19
What kind of fish is this?
Gasteropelecus sternicla
Hatchetfish
6:49
What is this fish?
Apistograma barlowi
@@arthurgimenespassos3342 thank you. Why in your fish tank the fish is so dark blue and when checking photos on Google is light colored?
And then it turns out the ph in the tank is 7.9 and not the canon ph 5.0 of the wild environment
What size is that tank
The Fire Blaster 123 , 200 liter is about 50 gallons.
I hear birds and all kinds of land jungle creatures but only see fishes. My mind doesn't comprehend.
Beautiful and natural environment! However I find it concerning that the angelfish are in a 200L aquarium when there's a minimum requirement of 300L.
Stunning
