- This 2 years old shallow tank had been lying unused for quite some time. The scape took me about 2 months from start to finish. Will be adding fish to this tank soon!

Yeah boraras were the first fish that came to my mind but since its all that people put in nano tanks, i needed sth different.
@ecoden try cherry barbs and mountain minnows beautiful nano fish get 6 cherry barbs and 6 minniow they are nano fish it will be perfect for this tank or get endler guppies

@@vinithd6320 just what i preferred in this build. Wanted it more natural so didn't use much aquasoil. You can try out different stuff but this is whats working for me for now. Easy to get that volume since coco peat is easy to source.

What kind of floating bulb was that? The bulb/roots didn't look like a lily. I love that its got smaller leaves, definitely want one of those.
That was hydrocleys nymphoides aka water poppy!🌿 Suitable for smaller ponds as such!😊

Yup air stone and another small filter. Sadly the fish iv been wanting in this tank have been out of stock for a while. But will post an update soon!

Hello, in my aquarium drift wood, small pieces will extend over the tank there one new mushroom started to grow. Please rply the Reason for that and is it harmful or not.
I always love when mushrooms pop up in my terrarium or emersed driftwood. Make sure you identify it to make sure they're harmless.
Have u thought abt adding some newts? Never see anyone use them 😢
I love newts but i feel they're a bit overpriced in India. But a paludarium just for newts has always been a plan! Maybe in the future!💯
Also they might fall off a tank like this. A closed paludarium would be perfect! 🌿

There used to be a guy on yiu tube that made mini ponds with wild guppies in them before miniponds started getting more popular he mainly used round planters. His main purpose was the fish. I can't find his chsnnel do you know it?

You can even exclude the styrofoam from the build. I just used it because i didn't trust this old tank which already had a crack that i sealed. Also if you're from US you get egg crates(i think thats what you call it. A plastic grid looking thing). And styrofoam is completely safe too. Have used it in multiple builds 🌿

Nope it doesn't alter the chemistry in the water. Been doing this past few years with no issues. Although you might need deeper substrate to cover it if you have fish that burrow into it. Make sure its a clean cut with like a hot knife so theres no loose styrofoam particles.

Nope I've never had issues so far. You can use any other base you find locally. Seen people using some kind of crates.

Most are reused materials, rocks from the river, substrate was 'dirt' cheap😋. Just bought plants and a few pieces of driftwood!
