- It's time for a book tag! If you don't know, The Nutcracker is my favourite Christmas story of all time and I adore all things NUTCRACKER! I'd love to know your answers to the questions in the comments below!

Video: • The Nutcracker Book Ta...
THE QUESTIONS:
1. The Nutcracker takes place on Christmas Eve. Choose a book that takes place during Christmastime or that gives you those magical yuletide vibes!
2. In the ballet, an epic battle takes place between the Nutcracker and the Mouse King. Choose a book that has great action and/or adventure!
3. The Nutcracker wouldn’t be the same without Tchaikovsky’s iconic score. Choose a book that involves music, musicians, or dancers!
4. The ballet changes locations when Clara and Nutcracker travel from her bedroom to the magical Land of Sweets. Choose a book that transports the characters to a magical or unfamiliar realm! (Think portal fantasy, though not exclusively!)
5. Upon arrival in the Land of Sweets, their first destination is an enchanted snowy forest. Choose a book that has a snowy, wintry atmosphere!
6. Clara and the Nutcracker present themselves before the court of the Land of Sweets. Choose a book that involves a royal court setting or that follows royal characters!
7. One of the most memorable parts of the ballet are the series of dances representing different countries (Spain, Arabia, China, Russia, etc.) Choose a book that takes place in a country far away from your own!
8. However, most people know these dances by the various treats they represent (Chocolate, Coffee, Tea, Peppermint, etc!) Choose a book that involves food, baking, or cooking!
9. At the end of the ballet, the Sugar Plum Fairy and her prince dance an achingly romantic pas de deux. Choose a book that has a beautiful, slow-burn romance!

What a fun video! I loved your answers.
I've read all your winter reads and loved them!
I love the Nutcracker as well. I have all the movies & my house is all decorated with Nutcrackers this time of year as well 😊. I also love The Christmas Carol as well.
I’d love to collect more nutcrackers! I love them so much!
I love this! So many wonderful books mentioned here and a few new ones that sound intriguing. Thank you for tagging me! I will definitely be doing this…I needed a video idea and this is perfect! ❤️
Yay! So excited to see your tag video!!
“Bilbo is one of the most relatable characters “ YAAASSSS
Oooooooh thank you for tagging me Miriam!!!!! I just filmed my video! 💖💖
Yay! I can't wait to watch it! 🤩
Oh! A Downton Abbey cookbook!!
This is great. I heard about a few books that I’ve never hear of and sound so good.
Definitely agree that Christmas Carol and Letters from Father Christmas are among the most Christmassy books!
Yesss! 🎄
I HOPE YOULL BECOME FAMOUS
❤
Hi Miriam! I love the Nutcracker too and loved this video!!! What a great tag! I have been wanting to read the Enchanted Sonata for so long...😍
Thanks so much for watching!! The Enchanted Sonata is so enchanting 😄😄 Such a great retelling!!
So fun! I love the nutcracker ballet and need to read the story at some point! I also have that Little Women cookbook and it's very sweet 😍
Seeing the nutcracker ballet in person is at the top of my bucket list 😍
This was just so enjoyable and sets the mood perfectly. 💚🎄
Thanks Tammy!🥰
Thank you for the good recommendations. This is not a Christmas book, but you should definitely read The Feather Thief. Absolutely intriguing book.
Thank you for the recommendation! I’ve added it to my TBR.
Fun tag! I knew the Enchanted Sonata would show up. 😉 I've actually never read anything by Rhys Bowen, but I keep hearing about her. I loved the Snow Child, but the ending was a little unsatisfactory for me.
Hehe it's showing up in multiple videos this month 😆 I think you would enjoy Her Royal Spyness - it's book candy! 😄 Agreed about the ending of The Snow Child!
Hi Miriam, I just loved this! Especially since I am reading three Nutcracker books because they were choices of Jennifer Brooks and I’m reading them in honor of her. The first is The Nutcracker by Alexander Dumas and is such a pretty book. It is also the one that the ballet is taken from, according to the sweet lady from Maine who loves the illustrated children’s books. I’m so sorry I can’t remember her name. And I don’t know how it compares with the Hoffman original. The second book is The Enchanted Sonata, which you loved too. The third book is Midnight in Everwood by MA Kunzniar. It looks so good. I just started The Enchanted Sonata, and haven’t read the third one yet. I also really enjoyed The Silent Woods! Thanks so much. 😊😊😊
I have to read the Dumas version!! I’ve only read the Hoffman one. The Enchanted Sonata 😍 that makes me so happy!
That's it. These Silent Woods needs to be a read. I wanted it last time you mentioned it, and now I'm sold. It's like the thriller counterpart to my more cottagecore Past Forward.
I'm due for a Narnia reread. Hmmm....Maybe that one...
And I'm so tempted to do this one. I just might.
@@ChautonaHavig Oooo did you say cottagecore? 😍 I’ll have to write that title down for the spring!
Austen is queen of slow burn!
Yesssss
I love this! I love Nutcrackers but haven’t ever watched it or read the book🤦♀️
I just saw you posted a nutcracker video!! So excited to watch it!! I think you would really enjoy the original story!
I have an enthusiastic recommendation for you: To Crack a Soldier by Sarah Beran. It's a fun sweet Nutcracker inspired novella with food, music, puns... an utterly charming bonbon of a book.
Added it to my TBR!! Thank you!
🩰🥜❄✨
no christmas books for me this year. i'm stuck reading The Count of Monte Cristo (it's really good btw)
I have to try that one again, I DNFd it 🤭 I don’t like revenge stories but I do want to give it a try again at some point.
Oh this tag is so entertaining. Loved how you produced your video. You’ve added to my TBR for next year 😊 I’m embarrassed to admit that l have not read The Nutcracker 🤭 Thank you for tagging @jensreadinglife Looking forward to her answers too 😊
Thank you so much! 🥰
