What a wonderful and informational video. You have such a beautiful Maude collection! Thank you so much for the mention and for doing this video. I learned so much! Happy Reading! 👒👒👒
I saw the title of this video and I don't think I've ever clicked so fast before in my life! Lucy Maud Montgomery is my all time favorite author. I am so excited to watch this! Only one minute in and I'm already loving it.
Maud is my favorite author and I have felt such a connection to her since I was 8 and read Anne for the first time. I’ve read her journals and all of her books, and I just love her so much. This is great.
I wanted know more about L.M. Montgomery and her works and this was a great introduction and appreciation video! I also just discovered your channel! Thank you so much for this video
You put a lot of work into this video! Well done and this may upset some but people had so much more depth back then, the quotes of public figures back then were so much more profound and meaningful. Those books, although I haven't read are exactly my type of books I love. so many beautiful stories. you know that I love wholesome books. Your synopses of these books remind me of the Secret Garden, one of my favorite books. "The Flash" that sounds intriguing.
19:00 you have so much passion when you speak about these books and authors that shaped you. You are so good at articulating and convincing your audience to read these classics, you have a gift for that persuasion.
@@miriamelizabethreads you're probably very self-critical and a perfectionist. but you are perfect, you may not see it but you are amazing at what you do
I just finished listening to Emily of New Moon on audio and I’m going through it again with my 19 year old daughter. She loves car rides with me where we can enjoy the magic of LM Montgomery. Her writing just helps you truly feel the beauty of life.
Beautiful video! You have so many great books by her still to look forward to reading! I know you will love your journey through them. A really good biography that I recommend is Looking for Anne of Green Gables by Irene Gammel. I still need to start reading the journals.
I love LMM too! This is a wonderful video. I love Jane of Lantern Hill! The details of her learning how to keep a home are delicious. I want to re-visit the Emily and Pat series and The Story Girl books. It's been a while since I read them. I just got to read aloud Anne of Green Gables with 10 and 9 year old girls and it was the highlight of my entire year!
One thing I love in Anne of Green Gables is the arc of Marilla's character--how she changes over the course of the novel. One of the books I enjoyed was The Annotated Anne of Green Gables (editors Doody, Jones & Barry; Oxford U. Press, 1997). You've inspired me and I'm off to re-read an L.M. Montgomery....❤❤
For The More Montgomery reading challenge, I'm reading a book I'm sure you'd enjoy. Recently found it in my library, Before Green Gables by Budge Wilson. It is written as the prequel to Anne of Green Gables. ❤ This was a beautifully done video and thanks for this author spotlight.
So happy you featured L.M. Montgomery! Looking forward to more Author Appreciation videos. 📚❤
Thank you!!
LOVE the blue castle. I feel connected to her too. So relatable.
Thank you for this beautiful video, Miriam. We must all remain children at heart ❤💚❤ . I could not live without books! 🎄

I loved Anna Green Gables books and the movies and Jane of lantern Hills book and the movie. It was very good.
Miriam you did such a great job on this video!!

I agree! I can’t imagine a world without Anne!

Thank you so much! The secret garden is such a sweet story! I have to reread it.

That means so so much! My biggest insecurity around this channel is feeling like I’m no where near as articulate as I want to be. 🙈

I cannot imagine a life without Anne either.❤

Yes! I love that about Marilla as well. Ooo an annotated edition? I’ll have to look into that! I hope you have the best rereading experience! 😍
Great video! What a great idea. I am new to your channel, and I am enjoying all the content. Look forward to your next video.😊📚
Thank you so much! 🤗
Miriam this was just a lovely video and there are many books of hers I have apparently missed. I need to correct that oversight. Thank you for this!
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Jane of Lantern Hill is sooo good! There's a movie adaptation too!
Oh I didn’t know that! I’ll have to watch it after I read the book!

Thank you! I'll definitely look into that book!

I read The Gift of Wings by Mary Henley Rubio. It's a great biography of LMM! I really enjoyed it and highly recommend.
Thank you for the recommendation!
I have only one book of Montgomery,Anne of Green Gables.
It’s a wonderful story!
I love your copy of The Blue Castle. A Tangled Web was an adult novel. The Blue Castle was much better.
Oh yes that one is adult! Thanks for reminding me!
