I have been on a Keto lifestyle (because of my diabetes)for about 3 months now. My blood sugar level has improved dramatically (300 down to 170), my diabetic neuropathy is gone and I’m losing weight. Me too. Dropped 30 pounds in 2.5 months. It was shocking. Skin stopped itching and I can think again. Fresh meat I grind myself and all the veggies I can get my hands on. Fruit once a week and drink some of my own apple cider vinegar with water as I like the taste. Have more dairy than I used to (cheese, cottage cheese, goat cheese, butter). NO hydrogenated...anything like Crisco or the standard vegetable oils. Do use unrefined coconut oil and a good olive oil instead. Do use pure peanut oil for frying but not so often anymore.

Its a start is that 2 weeks on soups and i have one other ? Did you get the Hershey's from eating only soup thats the only thing that would scare me with being on the road all the time just cant stop any where to go to the bathroom I dont think they would like a tractor and trailer parked in front of the store
Yummy! I am seriously thinking of looking into the Gaps Diet more in depth. My Dr has eliminated Gluten, dairy, corn, sugar and eggs from my diet for now. So maybe this diet help retrain your brain on food.

Something to encourage...as my body has healed, I have noticed that my texture issues are resolving. I am able to eat jiggly chicken skin in chicken soup now. UNHEARD of for me.
Beauty, try the egg in your soup... I promise it will be taste much better warm. Unless you think it's your body telling you that it's too soon to be reintroducing eggs back into your diet. Eggs are in the top five for most people having a sensitivity to them. ❤🌅🌵
Justin, not to be rude r anything, but isn't that an awful lot of salt for someone who is trying to eat healthy? It's bad for you blood pressure, which in turn, is bad for your heart. God luck with the diet!
It really all depends on the type of salt you use. Regular table salt is poison and is bad for you. But salts like Pink Himalayan or Redmond Real Salt are actually good for you. The body needs salt just have to make sure you use the right kind.

I am like Justin,the less carbs and sugar I consume the better I feel and my Rosacia on my face improves drastically.Carbs and sugar causes little bumps on my face and makes the skin on my face red or pink and puffy with inflammation and sometimes makes my face feel warm to the touch and feverish like.
I understand Rebecca doing the GAPS diet because of her digestive issues, but Justin has different health issues. I don’t understand why you would do the same diet when your body is calling for different things? If it is just to be supportive to your wife, that seems risky, given the health issues you face. Maybe I’m missing something?
The GAPS diet is beneficial to almost anyone. 99% of us have gut flora and overall gut health issues that will resolve on the diet. Many people see their health improve so much they don't need prescription meds any more. Damage to our guts is inevitable these days thanks to pollution, GMOs, prescription drugs, birth control, antibiotics, pain killers, sugar and high consumption of carbs, improperly prepared grains, over processed dairy, processed convenience foods, fluoride in the water and much more. We could all use the GAPS diet :)
just pray over your food and shovel it in......bible says="nothing is to be refused" and they lived to be over 900 years old so they must have done something right. It tells all you should eat and not eat...read this too.

Phase 1 you can eat the boiled meat and veggies separate it does not neef to be in the broth. You can drink the broth...eat the meat

Also, high BP can cause strokes. Please be careful with the salt!
