It's weird. There is live footage of them from 2002 that sounds so much better, but I think it's because of the microphones. Audio of them playing before sounded so huge. But once the mid 2000s rolled around, everything sounded more thin. Most likely because of phone mics. So even though in person, it probably sounds just as good, if not better than before, these mics just don't do it justice. Good recording though.
I was there something was off it wasn’t them of course I would say that being a fan lol. You can see them looking back and forth. They are all about timing and it has to be perfect and has to sync with the videos. Earbuds off monitors off something was off a few seconds and it wasn’t them….they were trying to reel it back in the whole show.
