- Nick hated playing to a click track live. Nick Menza: "There's no real energy and it kills the whole vibe, like driving a fast car and you have to stay in one lane, there's no excitement in that"
This was taken from DIMEVISION ( Dimebag Darrell Documentary ) In this short clip Dimebag talks about what a great drummer is, raw, emotion and stripped-down! To be great drummer you have to stay in time, Dimebag: That's HORSESHIT! Dimebag was the most realist and honest guy in metal, very passionate when it came to creating music, all heart and soul...
Dime was a dude, and as drummer this just reinstates that fact🤘🤘

R.I.P. Dime ❤ R.I.P. Vinnie
He was 💯 right, Rip Dime
Bonzo sped up and slowed down regularly, especially live. In My Time of Dying Live, for example. He gradually sped it up to an almost-unfollowable pace for Page and Jones, and it's an all time great performance from any band ever.
He’s still keeping time though
@@neillbaxter9613 He changes the tempo. All great drummers do.
@@redrick8900 but there’s still a right and wrong way to do it
@@neillbaxter9613 Not really. That's like saying there is a right shade of blue. Some shades might not work in some circumstances but they all work in some.
@@redrick8900 he definitely kept time as time was taught to him. As it’s taught to every person in the world who listens to music. Not saying you can’t change tempos in one song but he definitely held it down for everybody else. That’s his job. Not even tryna argue or nothing it’s just good for people learning an instrument to know the importance of time. You gotta build the box before you go outside of it
What many didn't know that Dime was a freaking drummer himself. 🤘
Sometimes it's about the 0-3-5, but most times it's about the 11-12-14-11-12-14
FuckinA bro
The greatest guitar hero ever walked in this fucking world
🤘
⚡ 3 3 3 ⚡
🤘👽🤘
Tom Saywer by rush changes tempo in 3 distinct places. To play it right you have to know where they are.
With that said I def prefer to record my drum tracks to a click. I make my magic inside the lines.
Click tracks are gay
