When I sayyy…. I literally just asked God to help me bc I was so ashamed of these addictions I’m struggling through and I’ve tried multiple times to stop and it feels like nothing is working at all. And then I see this video…. God is so good thank you for sharing. I will try this

I’m really glad to hear this and I also want to encourage you. When I was making this video, I was praying and the Lord was speaking to me - what I heard “many people are about to get set free from addiction from doing what’s in this video - but it’s for a reason”
God has specific assignments for people and he is teaching us that in the next season of life, the people who do well and overcome what’s ahead will be the ones who know how to pursue the Holy Spirit
This is a training on pursuing the Holy Spirit and knowing that “it” works and this training is for a much bigger purpose
Maybe that means something to you right now / maybe it doesn’t
But please remember this over the next year or so
Best way I can say it is that we are going to be refined for Gods purpose, don’t run from it - run to the spirit

I saw this at the perfect time...I've been sowing to much in my flesh ,trying to do right by God. This will help I relapsed so hard yesterday into this morning, I'm feeling very good about the grace he's shown me, that I should love and have more mercy for people and their personal problems...

Great message. Thanks for sharing brother. I struggled with lust for many years and as a result, I lost everything. But God set me free, and I gained everything in Him. God is so good.
Now I run a group and do counseling for men who struggle with lust and porn.
I really like what you have shared and will try it out in the areas of my life and see how I can apply it to the men I am counseling.

(I quit drinking and cocaine addictions so i believe now through pursuing the Holy Spirit I will overcome instead of making the mistake of asking God to take away the addiction.

I also feel like my mind will purposefully not talk to Jesus, I will avoid Him to please my flesh 😣 I’ve overcome all of my other addictions through seeking God ; except for one 😮💨 I struggle to fully surrender because it’s uncomfortable and I am unrecognizable to myself since I have identified with it for so long. Im stuck on a couple addictions. I believe they will keep me from Heaven. Im tired of praying over them. I am damned in my flesh.
I believe Heaven is for those who overcome. Im so scared and sorrowful. Please pray for me.

The irony is that all of us are “damned” in the flesh
My reliance is on Having clean flesh - my reliance is completely on the perfect Messiah - Jesus Christ who was and is perfectly clean, he died on our behalf my friend.
Place your trust in him and he is faithful to cover you, you have to know that he is able to cover you, that he is lord, that God the father lifted him from the grave - he overcame death for you and I
This desperation and conviction that you feel, this fear of being separated from God - I’ve too felt it, but I continued to seek the lord, I continued to knock on the door, I continued to ask him to wash me and to lead me to truth.
My discipline didn’t save me, my discipline helped me to put focus on Jesus when I felt weak
I believe fully that you too can be freed from addiction, but you need to stop asking God to take it away, you have to get involved - do what was mentioned in this scripture, find a deliverance church like v1 or hungry generation…continue to walk and don’t give up on yourself
God has not given up on you - he’s faithful to forgive, be sure not to quench the Holy Spirit, be sure not to speak against the Holy Spirit - it carries the power you need for change.
Some people reject the Holy Spirit - they are helpless, because it is the only thing that can truly make you an overcomer
Jesus saves - the Holy Spirit is your constant help
You need to keep the holy covenants of promise. The 10 commandments and the rainbow covenant. Satan has fooled the whole world into accepting his gospel "ye surely shall not die"

If I listed the steps to really getting a grip on this I’d probably say the following in no particular order
1. Learning to pursue the Holy Spirit (fasting is a great practice to do this without having to wait for temptation)
remember, The Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus, then he fasted 40 days,then he was tempted by Satan. I believe Jesus was doing what we all need to be doing. Fasting before hard times comes so that when they do come we’ve already built up the “muscles” to pursue the spirit rather than flesh. When you begin to talk to the Holy Spirit in these moments you might “hear” very specific directions or you might not which is why the second point is important

READ SCRIPTURE DAILY
I also write while I’m reading. Sometimes you go through seasons where you don’t hear The Lord talking as loudly. But if you know his word, you’ll be able to rely on it because when I lie comes to your head, you’ll have the truth in your heart / scripture in your heart and now you can rely on the scripture
Very seldomly do I feel as if God just “gave the solution” it’s usually filling myself with his word, so that the Holy Spirit can bring that word to mind in a time of trouble.
But also, sometimes when I just talk to the Holy Spirit I’ll have a unique power over temptation and it isn’t a grand gesture of power, it’s just this confidence to move in the right direction.
For example I was fasting recently and I kept wanting to eat but every time I thought about eating I just said “what would the Holy Spirit do…from there the response was - the Holy Spirit would stay committed to fasting and build your muscles…that in and of itself got me through a few hours, hunger came back and I just repeated the same process / questions
Next thing you know I went to bed and was able to go into the next day with even more strength
Does that help ?
The other practicals are known - anything that provokes you to temptation get it completely out of your life
For instance - if you struggle with lust. Go on your social media and unfollow every single account that might provoke you. For me, if I see someone on my instagram or Facebook who shows even a little bit of cleavage etc I’ll delete them. Doesn’t matter if it was my child good best friend - they are gone.
Temptation doesn’t respect you, it didn’t even respect Jesus so you have to build a fence around you that makes it really hard for it to come in
Take this mentality into any temptation

Can you please describe specific what happens then? I can say I have been addictid with playing video games and lust in a sense that I prayed for a miracle. And God took it away. So Yeah miracle breakthrough it was for me. But then to keep away from it is by keep on track with the Holy Spirit. @@Knalgoedfanaat hey I’m right there with you, praying in tongues does a wonder for us, notice - praying in tongues is another “Holy Spirit” activity, so you’re doing the same thing that I’m doing in the sense of pursuing the Holy Spirit
When I talk in English it really helps my mind, which is why I’ll say things such as “Holy Spirit what are you up to, what would you do right now, etc”
When I do this, I get instant reminders of why I’m able to overcome the addiction or reminders of how Powerful the Holy Spirit is over my issue etc

This is really cool! The difference between asking God to remove an addiction versus pursuing the Holy Spirit. Not too long ago, I thought to ask Him questions too when I believe He was speaking to me. So I’m curious if He answered you or you just knew He was leading you on what to do?

I've been falling into masturbation for the past 7 to 8 months. I was clean for about 1 year and 4 months before I fell back in. I almost feel like I have fallen out of God's grace, I feel like I have lost my salvation because I went back to my vomit. I still pray and read the word, but I don't know what else to do. I just pray that I'm still a child.
Frist of all you can't lose your salvation and you have not fallen from Grace that's the enemy putting them thoughts in your mind that's a liar you are a child of God know you go to him he will forgive you and clean you from all unrighteous by the blood of Jesus. he died for all sins past present future don't beat yourself up God see your heart we are still going n earth nit heaven yet we will fall but get back up

SO happy to hearths - just remember, right when you feel the temptation actively ask the Holy Spirit questions until you feel the shift and don't stop until you do.
for me it doesn't feel like I'm "trying" really hard, its honestly kind of relaxing.
If you're speeding through the questions and trying to force yourself to stop, you are giving yourself to willpower (in my experience)
