A customer once brought me a Firebird that was smashed in the front end. And then converted to a race car. And my goal was to, turn it back into A Streetcar. Between all the holes that were drilled in it. And all the components that were missing. It cost him 25 Grand. I had to straighten the unibody. Because the doors wouldn't close properly. Replace the entire front end, with pieces that were not readily available on the internet. Which required finding a parts car. And dozens of holes drilled in it. Pop rivets holding the floor together. Approximately 100 hours worth of rewiring. But I give the customer credit. They wanted to be involved in this rebuilding process. So they brought me parts. A 2 barrel carb for a 4 barrel intake. To put on a Pontiac 400, with a seized crank. An electric fuel pump, out of a boat. And when I ask him what I should do with all the junk parts. He said... I'm paying you 25 Grand. Make them work. I walked out of that deal with approximately $1,500 for almost 250 hours worth of work. so the next time a customer comes to me, and tells me they want to turn a race car back into a street car. I'm going to tell them... Take it to the person on UA-cam. because everybody on UA-cam... Is an expert. In theory.

I may have missed it in a different vid, but any chance to get close up pics of how your chute brackets all work? Have a stock location Ricks stainless tank and dont want to go to a fuel cell in trunk. Love how your fuel system is setup!

Very uneducated person here when it comes to drag cars. I love watching the work and racing you & your dad do. What is street illegal about a tune and how would that be noticed if not changed, and what makes a tire street legal? It is still a type of slick is t it? Thanks and keep up the great vids!!!
My guess would be the street tune would be for a different fuel and boost/power level to help with mpg and keep it more manageable power wise on the street. I don’t think the tune necessarily makes it street legal/illegal. Tires have to be DOT approved to be street legal. I don’t believe full slicks are DOT approved, but there are some street legal radials

The cast brass ball valves on your fuel system are not fuel/oil rated. Eventually they will leak.
They’ve been going for 5 years now 🤷🏽♀️ if that time comes I’ll fix it then.
