Do you think this would be suitable to use for an airbed puncture?

i tried so many things to fix my tub but once u put the water in its just too much pressure and the air always gets out somehow

Use Sanitary silicone. Bonds well and will dry solid like rubber. I applied a small layer across the bottom to make the base more durable

I have just found my hot tub to be leaking .its on the inside about 2 inch from the top seam downwards and it's on the seam .not sure if it's a manufaction fault or not (when the heat welded the seam the material was bit thinner or to long joining it .) It's a small thin line about 3 mm long .
Can you repair on a seam or just claim on warranty for new one . Its 5 months old .

Hi. Great video. Unfortunately I messed my patch repair up! It peeled up at the edges so I pulled it off. Now I have glue that I can’t get off. Any tips in getting the glue off and starting again?

Mine has developed a leak right on the top corner shoulder where the seam is. Ive used the patch that comes with it but its still leaking. Ive now bought the repair kit. Do i remove the patches first then use the kit with the glue ?

How would I repair a tear in a hot tub liner? It’s a clever spa?

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  Рік тому

Tear might be difficult as you'd need to hold the two parts together. I'd guess use a large plastic patch to fit over the whole rip and try to seal round the edges. Using heat may help to set the glue faster and help it hold/set quickly

How did you get so many holes in the upper surface of the tub? I would expect to find a hole in lower surface that sits on the ground.

Hi Myron, unfortunately this was a second hand unit I picked up cheap mainly to test and do repairs with, it seems they didn't take much care of it as when I turned up they were just dragging it around :-(

I've fixed the first leak on my tub but another one came up which I can't find,. It's so frustrating. Isn't there a company that can help?

    • @junkendriven

Not sure, there are usually spa repair companies but most won't help with inflatables.
Keep trying, hopefully you'll find the issue.

Andy I’ve already repaired mine with similar products but it’s leaking from the patch now do I repair the patch area or try and remove the patch and glue?
I repaired mine whist still full of air stupidly I know any suggestions.

I've had similar in the past. If the patch easily peels off then do that, might be better to do that and then reglue it.
Yes, definitely deflate then reapply, if possible in red hot sunshine as the glue seals really quickly then

Hi Andy. Excellent video. I have a slightly different problem. My hot tub has deflated, but I have water coming out of the air valve. Any thoughts on the cause of this? Mike

sounds like you need a new no-return valve, about 5-8 quid on ebay, I think Andy does a tutorial on how to replace it.

These are amazing products if they can just reinforce the tub a tad more to prevent these small tiny pain in the ass hard to find worse place to have a leak leaks. On my second on right now, if it’s at the bottom of the tub I may take a shot with foam insulation spray. If all else fails im gonna snag my third and last one before I get my permanent hot tub.

Haha. Typically because I ruin so many pairs of jeans working on cars, etc, I'm well past worrying about fashion ;-)
