I crafted Thalnos last night to make this deck, I was missing the classic legendaries (and all the other classic legendaries other than the hall of fame legendaries). This morning, I opened Thalnos in one pack. Screw you blizz, I'm never lucky just like Kripp now...
I still... don't have a Pyroblast, but I'm trying this deck. I'm substituting Pyroblast with Eater of Secrets. There's enough Mages playing Ice Blocks/Paladins playing hydrologists around to warrant it I believe. These flexible Midrange decks have always been my favorites to play.
This is essentially the Psygünther discover Mage. I got to legend with it for the first time last month. A lot of pros played it at dreamhack, so I'm surprised Kripp is just now learning of it
And if you pay attention to that mage mirror match, you will see that Kripp dealt an amazing 2 damage to the enemy's face with minions while the enemy dealt a whopping 6 damage. That's INSANE!
Why is he always so cheery in the beginning part but once gsmeplay starts he's slumpt over and depressed looking? We need to stop Skipperino Kripperino, he's cutting off Kripp's life energy with every skip!
Just goes to show how boring and uninteractive the Mage class has become. Every win is the same, uses burn on face, discovers more burn/stalling, use 2+ Ice Block, Pyroblast face for win.
That deck is exactly the same as mine, minus two cards. I don't run Thalnos or Potion. I got to rank 8 last season with little play time. This season sitting at 11 with decent play time. Might consider teaching in potion for Hunters
@Kripparrian This is actually a guy name Gunther's deck, He got legend with it day one of ungoro expansion, then dog made it popular, difference is the ooze tech thats it.
Hey Kripparian, is it viable to run the 2/2 that makes all cards cost one more? When u play ur firelands with medivh staff, u can get an 8 mana minion, a 5 mana, and deal 5 for 8 mana. Also your opponent cannot play any ten drops unless he wants to get rid of the 2/2

Deck is called Medivh Mage. Activates the weapon effect once in 24 minutes of gameplay. That's some value right there.

I didn't have all the cards of this deck so I substituted Mana Bind for Primordial Glyph. Still works surprisingly well.
Maybe you didn't notice but he had bloodmage thalnos in his deck.
The counterspell on that Rogue was savage.

Awesome and powerful deck, I recommend people to try it. If you don't get a silly start such as just 7+ drops, you should do fine against anything.
