Those souls we lost in 2004 include Tony Randall, Alistair Cooke, Rodney Dangerfield,
Christopher Reeve, President Ronald Reagan, Ray Charles
, Julia Child, Marlon Brando, and so many others. May they all rest in peace.
Rip Christopher Reeve, President Ronald Reagan, Paul Winfield, Robert Pasteroli and Marlon Brando among others that passed in 2004.
I live in central VT where Bob Keeshan ran his days out. I was shopping at Costco in Colchester, VT with my wife. Going through the checkout, I noticed this very familiar face. I walked over to him and you can guess what happened. He looked at me and smiled. I knew then who it was. I extended my hand to him and we shook. "Hello, Captain," I said. He returned the greeting in a very warm and cordial way you'd expect. I watched him on Howdy Doody and the Playhouse in the 50-60's. I credit my gentle and soft-spoken ways to him.
I met him in Myrtle Beach years ago. My mom was a third grade teacher and loved him. She made me go with her to meet him and take a picture of her with him.
@@JamesFrost74659 Your Mom is cool, and you must be quite thankful she made you meet someone who was known by all children in N.America. Bragging rights.
I was a big fan of his as a child and I was thrilled when he spoke at my college graduation in 1987.
My pop died in a car accident Jan 18th 2004. Miss you pop !!!!!!
In my heart, Christopher Reeve still soars.
Randy VanWarmer, known for his one hit in 1979, Just When I Needed You Most, passed away on January 12, 2004 at age 48.
I'm 67. The ratio of gone to still around of people I know is getting to be a little disturbing. Actually, I'm lucky to be amongst the living still. Made it thru a widowmaker 9 years ago this month.
Howard Keel had a great singing voice. Also starred as Clayton Farlow on Dallas
Damn! Laura Branigan forgot about her. She'd been having headaches for a few weeks prior to her aneurysm but passed it off as stress. Died at home in her sleep.
Sir Peter Ustinov deserved his Topkapi and Spartacus Oscars and both are in my video collection!
RIP Mr. Orbach. Law & Order was never the same without you ❤
So many members of the Babylon 5 cast have died so young.
Fay Wray was so beautiful!
King Kong would agree
Edmund Sylvers( lead singer of The Sylvers) died March 11th of this year from lung cancer at age 47.
You missed Dimebag Darrell from the band Pantera, he was murdered on stage on Dec. 9th 2004, RIP
He sure did
December 8 2004
Tug McGraw was the biological father of country music singer Tim McGraw.
He still is.
Did you have to add "biological"?@@buccy55
I love these videos. I love the fact that you let us enjoy the music and profiles without any unnecessary voice-over.
R.i.P to all. 🙏💔
May they RIP. Their talents will live on.
Bob Keeshan was best remembered as Captain Kangaroo, but he was also The Original Host of The Saturday Morning Anthology Cartoon Series CBS Storybreak. (1984-Present) Peter Ustinov was The Old Man Quoting Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats By T.S. Eliot in Logan's Run (1976), All Roads Lead To The Jellicle Ball and The Heaviside Layer. John Drew Barrymore was the Father of Actress Drew Barrymore who rose to fame with E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982).
How is Dimebag Darrell not on this list? He was a massive loss that year. Dime was *MURDERED ONSTAGE* during a performance with his band Damageplan, which had been formed after Pantera disbanded. Dime was the guitarist in both bands.
Yeah he should be in the list
Anna Lee was also in The Sound of Music....
My Dad passed away on.July 1, 2004. Same day as Marlon Brando😢😢😢
My dad too, on May 8th 2004. 😔
@@monikameza4107 I am very sorry to hear that. 😢
I am very sorry to hear that. 😢
Gene Wood part of the "Game Show Announcers" Mount Rushmore with Johnny Olsen Don Pardo and Johnny Gilbert!
Who remember when CBS interrupted CSI: NYC about Yasser Arafat's death before the show got a chance to be over? Every fans got so pissed!! I wasn't happy about it either. It could have waited till it was over.
One sound track and theme you can't forget from Elmer Bernstein is "The Man With The Golden Arm". Fantastic!!!!!
Honorable Mention to Denny Dark, voice of Superman on the Superfriends series. He passed away from a pulmonary hemorrhage on June 13, 2004.
Rest in peace Marlon Brando and Christopher Reeve. ❤
The only one I miss is Laura Branigan, what a voice.
Robert Pastorelli shocked me. I first saw him in Dances with Wolves., then in Erasure. He was great in both. Drugs kill.
Marge schott is a Cincinnati legend in my book
Todos eram magnificos e deixaram o seu legado e grande conteudo para a vida.
An unusual one here: Elmer Bernstein was known for his iconic soundtrack music and film scores like The Magnificent Seven (aka the Marlboro jingle), but he also did the score for what is considered one of the worst movies ever made, Robot Monster (the sci-fi movie where the space aliens are men in gorilla costumes with deep sea diving helmets on their heads).
Well, every film composer’s gotta start somewhere
@@jennifersman7990 Not disparaging, just stating facts. From humble beginnings came a great film composer.
Don't forget get the classic The Man With The Golden Arm. Fantastic theme and soundtrack.
Rip to all those talented souls we lost , especially Captain Kangaroo I watched him as kid growing up..
Paul Winfield also played the other captain in the Star Trek: TNG episode “Darmok.”
You also missed Bob Murphy the longtime major league baseball broadcaster first for the Boston Red Sox then the Baltimore Orioles then 41 years with the New York Mets
Over a quarter of a million people died on December 26th during the Indian Ocean tsunami.
Janet Leigh is also the mother of Jaime Leigh Curtis.
And I still watch old law and order episodes I miss Jerry Orbach
This seems to be an unusual year: Ronald Reagan, Yassir Arafat, and a seemingly endless list of others who we knew well.
Rip to all who passed away in 2004
8:25 Actors who choose to appear as Superman seem to come to a bad end.
REST IN PEACE TO ALL AMEN.
Rip to all of them
You forgot to mention the great and mighty Dimebag Darrell Abbott. One of the greatest metal guitarists the world has seen. He was shot and killed on December 8th 2004. At the age of 38.
And his brother Vinnie Paul on 2018... 😮
"I don't get no respect!" But Rodney Dangerfield got it after he died!
I was getting out of high school in 2004
So sad colon cancer my dad has it too
😔 so sorry 😥
Pretty girls!
I know this soundtrack! Final fantasy 3 snes. 😂
rip to all we lost.
Alec Wallis died 12 August 2004 (age 83 years).
I don't think that's the correct photo of Ray Stark.
Didn't Ms. David also do a song, "One Tin Soldier Rides Away"!?
Chicago TV fixture Ray Rayner died too in 2004 soon after Bob Keeshan "Captain Kangaroo" died.
Disappointed you didn’t add Caitlin Clarke…
rodney dangerfeild actually died after complications from heart surgery, according to imdb
NOBEL WHILLHAM. ALSO. STARED. IN. SUCH FILMS. AS GOOD MORNING BIETNAM & CITY. SLICKERS
@2:52, Art James, hosted the Joker's Wild?
You forgot "7 Spanish Angels" he did with Willie Nelson!
J.J.Jackson, He was know as Triple "J"!
To young
Yasser Arafat was poisoned.
I agree - a very important figure to the Palestine people - wanted separated statehood - which they should have received. Now the people are being slaughtered - and the ICC calls it genocide. Netanyahu is a war criminal.
Death separates us from our beloved ones, it darkens our bright holidays, it always spoils the joy of our existance. It deprives of sense all the efforts of home arrangement, accumulation of money, getting education, piling up knowledge and various skills. All our titles, diplomas, certificates, awards, decorations become useless, completely useless when our hearts stop beating. Our bodies, so cherished during our lifetime, though washed, perfumed, covered with flowers will inevitably become food to worms or fire at last.
How we hate and fear that cold snake - the death !
There is One, however, Who hates it even more. God, Who brings all things into existence, Who breathes life in all living creatures. He Himself is the very negation of the death, absolutely incompatible with it. That is why, immediately after death entered the world, even before that, God had a plan how to defeat it.
The problem was not a technical one. There are no technical problems to God. Dozens of difficulties, many of them insoluble, stand before our physicians, biologists, scientists, engineers, all of them trying to prolong the life of the sick and the old even though an extra day.
It is not the case to the Almighty. He is in absolute control of all physical, chemical, biological laws in nature, so He is able to give a perfect health and life to each of His creatures at every moment of the time.
The problem to God was juridical : How to acquit the sinful man in order to have the right to give him eternal life. He could not free him from the guilt arbitrarily; justice demands punishment for crimes. God needed a legal ground to discharge the guilty man. And He found the solution, the only solution.
Christ came and took upon himself the punishment we deserved for our sins. Although not guilty, he was beaten, insulted, and finally killed on the cross - to pay our debt to God.
And since then, since first century A.D. a striking message, most important in all human history, started spreading all over the inhabited earth: Everyone who (first) repents, that is confesses and rejects lies, thievery, murder, lechery, everything that is wrong, and (second) believes in Jesus Christ, confesses him in public as a Lord and Saviour, receives from God complete forgiveness of the sins and (!) ETERNAL LIFE. Can we grasp it ? Everyone accepting that gift must tell it in prayer to the resurrected Christ without delay, and then, if possible, be baptized in water and take Lord's Supper with Christians. When the determined time comes such a person (no matter alive or asleep in death) will be given a new body
not subject to disease, ageing and death any more.
All authority of the Creator stands behind that promise.
Do you know what the professing of your faith is worth? Absolutely nothing, here’s why:
*Crustaceans 4: 1.*
1: Pharasitic, sanctimonious moral narcissism means you can't annoy people into heaven, and such glaringly arrogant imperialism cloaked in scripture and prayer is still delusional religious dogmatism.
Ronald Reagan was the greatest Present ever in my opinion!
Reagan is currently roasting in hell for all the people he murdered by ignoring AIDS, and for destroying the country's infrastructure.
Eerie music. Very similar in parts to the unsolved mysteries theme just slowed down.
Bike builder, Indian Larry.
