The last lady, imagine being able, as late as the early 1960s, to be able to converse with someone born in the 1850s. She could have told some stories we could barely credit today. Incredible.
    Lovely video.

Jim Reeves was very popular at the time. Patsy Cline died a year earlier, and gets a lot of attention as a pioneer for todays country singers-- but Reeves was far more popular than her when he died, but gets no attention.
Sam Cooke also a great popular singer in that era ironically on the same label as Reeves. Both great stars.

My sincerest thank you, to the 3 Civil rights activists, who were assassinated. You did not deserve that. U courage & sacrifice carries on, throughout the decades 🕊✨️🙌🏽💐. RIP Sam Cooke💐🙌🏽✨️.
    May God bless, all.🪽🪽

Sam Cooke's death was a particular tragedy. He was young, and the beauty of his gospel infused sweet soul voice has never been matched. He was a considerable songwriter, too. "A Change Is Gonna Come", his great civil rights anthem, was written in response to Bob Dylan's "Blowin' In The Wind".

Alan Ladd was 5'3" Cheryl Ladd's father. And in the heat of the tense 1964 NL pennant race won by Daddy's St. Louis Cardinals Cincinnatti Reds manager Fred Hutchinson died of lung cancer at the age of just 51 which was also Alan Ladd's age ar his death.

Cheryl Ladd is Alan Ladd’s daughter in law not his daughter. She was married to his son David Ladd.

Truman would not let Macarthur win the Korean war hence now the mess in N. Korea. Also, virtually no one died due to cancer.

They all passed just before I was born but I've read about alot of them. To me it's fascinating that people lived before me like this and we can see what they looked like. Amazing!

Lead should have been the president. Not a pop singer who shouldn't have been listed at all. 🤮

The president (if you mean Kennedy) was assassinated in 1963, not ‘64.
Moreover, the “pop singer” for whom you feel such contempt was important to many people - not to you obviously, but so what ? Why do you give your own opinion so much weight ?

Dont knock Sam Cooke. He wasn’t just a pop singer, he was a talented musician who’s songs are still played around the world today.
