Me, being an active entertainer at 76 years young, I appreciate the reminder of the fragility of life. I love the lack of embellishments. So many of these artists showed impressive weathering. Their skin, their eyes, their hair (if they had any), and their attachment to clothing styles. The most notable issue was the age range.
@@michelle-qh8ll At 16, I had already shown noticeable prowess in 4 sports. I played almost every position in soccer (I had a lot of energy and football was far too boring). I was actually getting trophies and medals in wrestling. I heard a song on the radio just before I turned 16, and practiced 3 nights in the dark on the piano after which I could pick up and play any song just by hearing it super quickly. Ray Liotta was great playing villians. He showed his acting talents in the 1992 movie, Unlawful Entry with Kurt Russell. Julian Sands also played the pimp Yuri with Elizabeth Shue in the 1995 movie, Leaving Las Vegas. James Caan gave a stellar performance in the 1981 movie, Thief. Angela Landsbury played an evil woman in the 1962 classic movie, The Manchurian Candidate. She was very attractive when she was young.
Just hearing that James Caan, Ray Liota and other lovely mimes and singers have left us for all time makes me extremely sad - great actors, singers and actresses that have made their final bow to an audience that adored them. May they all rest in eternal peace - we will never forget them❤❤❤
Angela Lansbury's death saddened me the most. I never missed an epidode of Murder She Wrote. With her singing and theatre work too, she was one very talented lady.
She was a beautful lady all of her life. I loved her in Bedknobs and Broomsticks, as a trainee witch. Also of course as Jessica F in Murder She Wrote, which I think most people loved to watch.
This one was rough, favorites from childhood such as Angela Lansbury and Harry Belafonte and favorites when I was a young adult such as Alan Arkin and Julian Sands. r.i.p. all ❤
Harry Belafonte's passing saddened me and reminded me of Sidney Poitier's passing. Both were humanitarians, and kept their philanthropic deeds away from publicity.

Angela Lansbury was probably the most prolific and definitely one of the most talented and varied of these who passed away in this said year. Will be sadly missed.

I really appreciate this homage to actors. It is not just A listers that make a difference in our lives, it is the supporting actors who make a profound difference. If it were not for this video, I would not know how many treasured actors I have loved over the years, are now no longer with us. Please keep us informed of everyone, because I want to say goodbye to them, and thank them for their art.
All these people sold their souls to the devil for their fame, money, and careers. Never say they make a difference in your life. 😢

Sad to hear of Raquel Welch dying. I never got tired of looking at her.
Yeah, but you shouldn't insert poor, C class actress who are honored just for virtue signaling and not fat shame a politically popular black stress or a star that only appearrd In 1 film and in 1 episode of a TV show. There were about 4 people who have no business being on this list. So they died...so will you, too narrator lady, but you also are not important.

I think Kristy Alley was better known as Rebecca on Cheers then any movies.
She was. This video has several errors in it.

Look who talking? You made an error in a reply to an error in a comment on an error in the video. [ETA: Kirstie Alley became famous through her role in Cheers. Olivia Newton John was a very popular singer mid 70’s-early 80’s. To say she was best known for “Grease” is just wrong. And Kirstie Alley was best known for “Cheers”. The writers of these tributes should do their research!

No kidding, Rebecca Howe was undoubtedly the role she was best known for. I had forgotten she was in Look Who's Talking.
I thought she was a big fat whochi mama that had a big mouth and slept her way to the middle.
"Cheers" was a good show before Kirsty, but a great show when she introduced Rebecca Howe. Her pursuit of "Mr. Drake" is what comedy is all about.

What describes your entertainment?...I see Piano keys...lounge act?.. Choir Director...Little Theater?
@@michelle-qh8ll At 16, I had already shown noticeable prowess in 4 sports. I played almost every position in soccer (I had a lot of energy and football was far too boring). I was already doing very well with the breaststroke and relays on the swimming team. In track, I was also showing very good numbers in sprinting, broad-jumping, and relay divisions. I was actually getting trophies and medals in wrestling. I heard a song on the radio just before I turned 16, and practiced 3 nights in the dark on the piano after which I could pick up and play any song just by hearing it super quickly. The ease of learning piano and more than ten other instruments quickly became an unexpected curve in my life which culminated in a life of performance and entertainment.
