As a 39yr old T1D, I commend you for taking care of yourself! As a child (and YA), I struggled to afford my meds and healthcare here in America. I was sick my whole life, hospitalized many times throughout the year and now am considered disabled due to complications. It could be a lot worse for me but over the past few yrs I've worked hard to get on track so that my disease doesn't progress as fast. I’m a type 1 diabetic I was diagnosed with diabetes 6 years ago and I used to inject myself 4 to 5 times a day but I got the t-slim pump and it’s made my life easier and harder! Easier because I only get a catheter put in every 3 days and it’s stayed in me for 3 days but harder because it takes like 10 minutes to change it, I got faster at changing it the longer I had it but at the start it could take me like 30mins to change the catheter

Guys listen if you’re a type one diabetic,do you know you don’t always have to take insulin shots before you eat, yes, if you eat a low carb meal you won’t need to take injections, this is coming from a person who has type one diabetes, I usually go on a carb cycle,I mostly eat low carb than high carb foods on some days, Yeah, but for me low-carb diets actually work but of course not everyone, it actually helps and saves insulin, you can try it for yourself, but if you’re willing to ditch a lot of foods for example pizza or just candy. It’s pretty good, but I’m not saying fully cut them out but just eat them in moderation, right now as I was typing this comment I had a fried chicken sandwich with zucchini fries fried with almond flour, and my blood sugar only went to 200 before dropping down, try it for yourself
