Simple lesson here, folks. Anytime the assholes in management give you ANY survey of any kind, no matter if they say it will be anonymous, either don't do them (if possible) or give non-answers for every question. MANAGEMENT IS NEVER EVER ON YOUR SIDE.
Here's the priority list of a typical company: 1- Shareholders. 2- Consumers. 3- Law Makers/Governments. 4- Press/Reporters. 5- Suppliers. 6- Employees. That's the truth. Employees are on the bottom of the list.
I was put on a PIP for a dip in my effectiveness in my work (engineer) despite my (Indian) manager knowing that I was on FMLA to care for the ailing mother at a time when I was certain she was dying. I was even written up ahead of then for refusing work that would’ve sent me across the country at a time when my ailing and elderly mother was in and out of the ER. So why doesn’t this story not surprise me?
Eventually it will all hit a breaking point and the pendulum will swing so far in the other way, getting fired from a job will be almost impossible. Frankly I hope clearer minds can just clean up the near slavery like conditions
Those who experienced stress were likely the ones doing most of the work, so this will backfire massively… reminds me of working in a web dev agency. All all was going really well, but as we grew the boss hired a middle manager, who immediately started color coding employees based on “performance” - but it had little relation to reality. Then the boss invited all the project managers to a Caribbean island for a week, while all the technical staff stayed back home keeping the lights on. Then all the best talent started leaving in droves… a year later they were bankrupt 😅
My employer stopped my paycheck two weeks into 3-month short term disability (a benefit offered by the company). When I tried to return to work, HR and my boss refused to let me because I was still on disability. I'd had about enough of the place, so I quit the day I was supposed to return to work. I didn't even get a response to my resignation from either my boss or HR. This company also aggressively pushed the "we are family" narrative. They also had an "unlimited time off" policy, which HR then told me capped at 2 weeks. [ For those loudly crowing, "Sue them!" ... there's a thing called an arbitration agreement in the employment contract ... that requires the employee to agree to the ruling of a judge hired by the company. So unless you have Johnny Depp level pockets of money to lose, suing makes no sense.]
I was naive and actually believed it was anonymous.. well part of me believed it the other part of me thought they’d appreciate my honest feedback. Silly me. Almost immediately after, they moved me to another department with less upward movement. To add to that, my manager has been increasingly passive aggressive with every interaction, there’s no winning him over at this point and yes they prioritize the “yes madams” at my job. All in all I like this term better then people pleaser or *ss kissers. I also love the format of your videos and will be binge watching over my Christmas break as a means to survive 🤓
My previous employer used to filter all the anonymous negative survey comments down to the team level, where my boss would gather together with the team to discuss the negative items and propose solutions. In practice, this just resulted in the the boss identifying who made the comments, and those people were "administratively" dealt with later. So after a time, everyone kept their mouth shut and the boss just responded that the negative issues were not present on his team. This method of filtering down to the team enabled senior management to keep their hands clean and do nothing to address the issues.
Yeah Ethan I think you are right, they are master manipulators. Always friendly on the surface while backstabbinng employees in plain sight. I have a friend who wants to work in HR and yes her communication is not direct at all, she also subs to many double standards. I could work as a recruiter (placing candidates) but the full fledged HR function is just morbid. Not for me.
Here in India, corporations need to protect themselves from employees fainting and having heart attacks on the job, hence the move. There were cases where young under 30 women passing away due to overwork. Infosys guy wants everyone to work for 70 hours a week, some trust fund guys also said to do away with weekends as its a "western" concept and not Indian. Go Figure.

Insurance providers are above press/reporters. No insurance no transfer of risk when something goes wrong.

"Yes Madam" - by Karens for Karens.
They're just looking for excuses to fire worker 2 to squeeze the maximum out of worker 1. When worker 1 quits they'll find a replacement for cheaper.

This is the most disgusting sheet I have seen in a long time.

It’s an Indian company…it surprises me that people are surprised
Getting fired will take care of workplace-caused stress for good.
I guess this was an EX (employee experience) initiative orchestrated by HR, also known as ppl and cult...lol

Imagine this happening in a US company. No one would work for them again.
There are a ton of medicare people who will just fill out surveys in the way they think he wants to answer.
Bro this stuff already happens even in the US - they just have more brains then this clown company Yes Madam
forget not working this would trigger a violent mutiny
People would forget about this happening then realize they need a job to get money for bills.
