      Pretty good storm blew through one day so that was pretty crazy. Chasing birds on the big rock is a bucket list adventure for sure.

    Great video, it makes me want to get out and try duck hunting.

      Duck hunts are super fun to film and of course duck hunting in general is fun. Duck hunters are a passionate group of dedicated hunters who just love to be out on the water any chance they get.

      Thank you for watching, Simbyy. Alaska Outdoors TV has aired on TV for the past decade. Last year we decided to make it available to the digital world through streaming including UA-cam and Amazon Prime. We're gaining traction every month earning the trust of the viewers. Have a great 2021 season. There's more to come from us.

    Do people actaully come far and wide to get those Common Mergs? Only reason I ask is cause we have so many of them late season here in Minnesota. About the same time we get common Goldeneye we get the common mergs

      I don’t know anyone that comes just for Merkes. It’s just a opportunity that presents itself while they’re out chasing sea ducks, goldeneyes, etc..

      Indeed. Alaska has a number of bucket list birds in fact there’s a couple of episodes we have on our channel here including king eiders you might enjoy.

    What time are the birds a plumed out and when are the harlequins there

    • @AlaskaDH01
      @AlaskaDH01 3 роки тому +1

      We don’t usually harvest Harlys until after 15th of November due to pin feathers. They look great way before this time no doubt.. but your taxidermist will not like it..😜

      Looks like a 17 tdb but a 19-25 bankes would be awesome up in Alaska

    We call the birds you guys a hunting poop ducks/fish ducks. But we don’t eat those because they don’t taste good. I was raised in a way that if you kill something you eat it so I don’t kill poop/fish ducks, I only kill mallards and geese.

    • @AlaskaOutdoorsTV
      @AlaskaOutdoorsTV  4 роки тому +1

      We eat everything we take. What doesn't get BBQ grilled gets turned into sausage or hunter sticks. Waterfowl season is always fun in Alaska. Thank you for watching 👊
