    What a fantastic documented hunt! One of the best I’ve seen in years…. Only a hunter can appreciate the scope of a hunt like that. For the folks that don’t hunt or despise it, us hunters are the reason that ALL game can be harvested at the right times and for the right reasons…. Thanks for the video!

    Great video, what caliber was the rifle you shot the first bear with? He was way closer than I would have liked taking that shot! Glad it seemed to have only took one. That was a bad spot, he could have rushed over that hill and been all over you. Glad everyone was safe and thank you for bringing us this footage.

    Just for my own learning, this bear looks younger than Frank the Tank. Teeth in better condition, more healthy body mass. FTT head was so big, Juan G.(the Hunter) could barely lift it, but his body was slighter, like and older bear not as well fed and in decline(at least that what I remember).

    I think it's time we create "single string" and "compound" categories. Sadly anyone can pick up a compound bow and shoot 100 yds. That also is a good thing as it makes the sport "available" to a much broader scope of individuals. I still 100% think compound bow hunting requires litte to no skill. Now 20 years ago with aluminum arrows, fingers, and no peep, they were more comparable. I can't even consider a compound bow "archery" they are to much.

    • @ladenforce279
      @ladenforce279 28 днів тому +2

      Appreciate your loyalty to Trad hunting, would like to go that route myself in the years to come. Honorable. As for the "no skill" comment... whoa silver! I think that it might be a stretch of the imagination to think that "anyone" can pick up a compound and be successful at 100 yards, let alone 50% of participants... FURTHER MORE... let alone a fella that has a 1200# apex predator face to face with them at 15 yards. This man is one of the most dedicated I have seen at honing his archery skills, putting hours in weekly, if not daily. He'd be the first to pat you on the back for being such a dedicated trad shooter. Here at TGR, we prefer to support one another as bowhunters and hunters alike. We are going to need each other.

    • @tolt1776
      @tolt1776 28 днів тому

      @ladenforce279 anyone with 1000$ can shoot a compound 100yds its a fact jack! No argument...if you argue that fact, you are in FACT, a poor "sportsman." Longer seasons, no orange, and compound bows make bow hunting much easier...if you are in fact a "hunter"

    • @tolt1776
      @tolt1776 28 днів тому

      @ladenforce279 I agree with supporting eachother...I'm si ply saying compound bows of today simplify bowhunting so ANYONE can do it...oneida has 90% let off bud....ANYONE CAN SHOOT A COMPOUND....a 10 year old girl can shoot a 40lb compound and not a 5lb trad lol

    • @ladenforce279
      @ladenforce279 28 днів тому +1

      Oh buddy, we love you for watching and for being a dedicated trad hunter. Stay tuned while us skill-less compound hunters continue to strive for continent-wide success rates in the low double-digits. 😉. We love you as a brother and wish you luck with the struggle stick this fall! Make sure to send us your success pics. We want to celebrate with you when it happens 🤙

    • @tolt1776
      @tolt1776 28 днів тому

      @ladenforce279 you take it personally because it's true....I'm sure you'd have no problem telling a gun hunter bow hunting is harder lol you obviously never shot aluminum arrows, fingers, no peeps, an NO LET OFF...again my comments hurt your "feelings" because deep down there is truth to it.
