So cute! I was tempted to get her. The green outfit with pants is so perfect. I agree Mattel Creations Service is so much worse than Barbie Collector’s was. I don’t know why it changed so much.
So, I waited a week after she came out for sale, and I heard from people who were getting her, and nothing was happening. I sent an email asking why it wasn’t even shipped yet (probably because I ordered two, one for myself and one for my mom) and they just shipped it. No email back, no apology, no explanation. AND there might be some issue with the teapot too?? Who knows. This year is “only” 150$, but you have to be a creations member just for the privilege of buying her too!! So yeah, I have tons of issues with creations. At least she didn’t sell out instantly like last years, and I got tons of notice to be ready to buy her this year!
@@JazzHandsugh. Yeah. I have had similar experience at MC. If there is a slight issue on a MC Exclusive I rather just keep the doll then have to go through their customer service. (One person I know had their customer service say there was nothing wrong with wonk eye etc. on a 100+ dollar doll) It’s SO different from BC as there was very few times I ever had a quality control issue. MC I always find there is some quality control issue as well. I also got all of the items within a reasonable amount of time. One looks doll I ordered took 3 MONTHS to arrive. I sent multiple emails too 🤷♀️ The clothing items for whatever reason from MC arrive very quickly. I got the original 12 days doll, which is why I hesitated on this one. But I got her through FAO Schwartz. At this point FAO gets quite a lot of the collector dolls, that unless it’s an exclusive I will go and get it through them and deal with their customer service. I honestly just don’t understand how Mattel Creations quality control and customer service is so much worse than Barbie Collector? I know they are managing multiple brands, but it’s just weird that those would be the areas of the biggest difference. And I know multiple collectors also all talk about how they would do anything to not buy from MC, if they can. These are such niche products that there is a small audience as it is. if many collectors are avoiding buying directly from you because of those issues I can’t imagine it lasting long? But the other brands like Masters of the Universe and Monstor high, it seems to be positive outside of resellers buying the dolls. 🤷♀️ I am glad though she’s so beautiful, and again it sort of makes me want to get her.
Thanks so much for sharing. She really is lovely. So glad to have you back with this video. We've missed you a lot!! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Oh, wow, she's gorgeous! And I love all the little accessories (especially the nutcracker). Too bad it's a bit beyond my price point. I need to be able to afford gifts for OTHER people, not just myself 😅
Glad to see you doing videos again! I love this set. My Husband got me this set and last years set. I do like her hair style. But I kinda wish they would have given her the bubble cut hair style. But again I still love her! Also I am a bit disappointed that the stand was day 2 when last years it came with Barbie. They could have included another framed picture or a little Santa figurine or even another stocking. But maybe they will do better next year. Also the peg stand is my FAVORITE doll stand and I wish all the collector preproduction dolls, silkstone ones too, would come with it. I think the peg stand is way better thank the waste stand and the saddle stands. Barbie strikes such an elegant pose when she stands on it. Wonderful review. I will be reviewing mine shortly on my channel. Merry Christmas from Texas! Keep up the wonderful videos!
You’re speaking my language, I too love the bubble cuts! My absolute favorite lol. Maybe they didn’t give her a bubble cut because Christie technically has one, and this way we have an authentic African American style short hair ponytail which I think is fantastic. Love the peg stands too, I think they should also be the standard for all vintage reproduction dolls for adult collectors.
She’s the first Silkstone I’ve ever been interested in. Thank you for the video and for the unboxing tips. I don’t think I’ll get her, but it’s so tempting. How gorgeous.
Lovely video Jazz. That Barbie is gorgeous!! For $150 you should definitely get unblemished goods. The plastic cover on Barbie protected her somewhat anyway. Too bad those snaps are plastic. I would prefer metal snaps or even a zipper for that matter! (At least it wasn't Velcro though, so small mercies....) The outfits were lovely too; and maybe I'm being picky but it seems to me that the quality of clothing is still nowhere near the original clothing and yet costs much more than it did back then, even accounting for things like what stuff was worth. Just me though.
So I called and messaged Mattel about replacement. Their options were completely unacceptable. The first was a return “if it remains in stock on the creations website.” And it would take 2-4 weeks to process it. So I’d send it back, and if in those 2-4 weeks it sold out I would NOT get a replacement. Then the other option was to send for a refund, and then buy it after I get the refund again. I told the rep that as a collector both of those options are extremely unacceptable. So now I have to keep a defective product. I’m considering making a video about it and how unhappy I am, but haven’t decided yet. I already hate the creations website and how long it takes to get an item shipped to me on the west coast, and I’m sure no one wants to hear a whiny jazz hands. I agree on the clothing quality. It’s not as good as the original line from 59-66, but really, nothing is. It is very good for what it is though, I love both the outfits.
@@JazzHands Yes, I do agree the clothing is better quality than the usual outfits available, I'm just whining about how poorly made everything seems to be these days, and yet how much more expensive, relatively speaking. (And the way some things are designed,as if meant, is so terrible that the stuff has no chance of surviving without major and costly repairs...! But that's another story lol).
Cost and sales. Mattel has no reverence for their brand, they just want to make money. If they have to cheap out on a few “minor” quality controls, then they will.
Plastic snaps?!? Come on Mattel, why are you so cheap. I'd change those out to metal ones. Other than that, I didn't even know they had different Barbie advent calendars. I might have to look into it next year. Maybe. I don't have anywhere for anything fun like this, these days.
So beautiful!
My gosh everything is GORGEOUS
Yay! So glad to see another vid from you!
I’m so glad you’re here! Hope you enjoyed the video!!
@@JazzHands I did!

Omg stunning!! I like this set more than last year. Everything was much more elegant
I like them both equally, and being able to interchange the outfits!!
Shis is nice! Great doll , Great video of her.

She isn’t a silk stone, unfortunately! These advent calendar dolls really should be silk stone, but she’s great on her own anyway!
@@JazzHands oh, thank you for explaining! I had no idea it was the material, I thought it was the sculpt til now.

Idk why Barbie doesn’t make their dolls high quality like the 1959 dolls where the clothes don’t have Velcro and has buttons

Is this Chanel still active?
This is proof that Midge and Barbie were lesbians the whole time and were dating❤
